Absolutely Impressive Smart Projector!
I’ve been using this HAPPRUN projector for a few days and it really exceeded my expectations. The image quality is the first thing that stood out. It is bright, sharp, and colorful. Even during the day with lights on, the picture is still very clear, and in a dark room it looks like a proper home theater setup. The colors feel natural and the contrast is great, especially when watching movies with darker scenes. You can tell it’s well-calibrated out of the box, because I didn’t need to tweak any settings to get a nice, balanced picture. The auto focus is super convenient and locks in quickly, so I don’t have to spend time adjusting it manually. The auto keystone correction also works surprisingly well and keeps the image perfectly rectangular even if the projector isn’t placed directly in front of the wall. I like that it’s a true smart projector too. I downloaded Netflix and YouTube directly and could start streaming right away without needing another device. When I do want to connect my laptop or console, the HDMI connection works smoothly. The sound quality is solid and clear, enough for a small or medium room, though I sometimes connect my Bluetooth speaker for a fuller effect. It’s also great that it can mirror my phone when I want to show something quickly. Overall, this projector feels like a really well-thought-out product that is bright, easy to use, and feature-rich without being complicated. I’ve been really happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a smart projector that performs well both in daylight and in the dark.

Cinema-quality sound & streaming in one smart projector
I’ve been using the Netflix-Certified Smart Projector for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say it has completely transformed my movie nights. Unlike other projectors where you have to struggle with casting apps or unreliable workarounds, this one comes fully certified by Netflix, so I can stream instantly without any hassle. The setup was incredibly easy – just plug it in, connect to WiFi, and I was watching in minutes. The picture quality is crisp and clear, and pairing it with the included Hi-Fi speaker creates a surround-sound experience that rivals a cinema. I also love the Bluetooth connectivity, which allows me to connect my own headphones when I don’t want to disturb others.Another standout is the design – it’s compact, portable, and sleek, making it perfect not just for the living room, but also for outdoor gatherings. Friends and family are always impressed when I set it up for backyard movie nights.Overall, this projector is worth every penny. Between the seamless Netflix integration, powerful audio, and user-friendly design, it’s hands down one of the best entertainment investments I’ve made.✅ Highly recommended for anyone who wants a cinema experience at home without the complexity!

Great picture, maybe a bit large size and a little slow
I’ve tried a small handful of these consumer-level video projectors, with a variety of pros and cons for each. This one has a few features that stand-out to me as good advantages:- Auto focusing/keystone with movement of the projector- Very crisp image with decent brightness- Smart hub- Audio/phone jack and A/V jack- Corner-pin adjustment- Focus and volume knob- Multiple options for placement including upside-down and backwardsThose things are somewhat common on projectors in this range but I found them all easier to work with, intuitive and reliable. On the cons side:- Remote needs to be pointed at the projector, closer to the front- Smart-hub works but Hulu, Netflix and Disney all struggled to play content. I didn’t try others. YouTube plays fine.- One of the (large) knobs on the top is also the power button and I kept accidentally turning the projector off by somehow managing to press the knob.- compared to others in this price range, it’s pretty big.I considered that the slow performance of the apps in the smart hub could have been related to my WiFi quality, since this projector is installed outside, working through a WiFi extender. But, I used one of the HDMI ports to connect a Firestick which played all the apps normally, using the same WiFi as the projector. Overall, even with these minor issues, so far this projector is the best I’ve tried in the past year. The most irritating problem it has is not being able to use the remote from behind the projector, another reason to continue using the Firestick (or Roku which works well also).

Exceeded expectations—strong picture and audio quality
I am very happy with my Happrun 1500 ANSI Netflix projector! The picture quality is excellent! It is sharp, bright, and colorful. Movies and shows look great, and the resolution really makes a difference compared to other projectors I’ve tried in the past. The sound quality is also impressive for a projector in this price range. It’s clear and full enough that I don’t feel like I have to use external speakers, which is a big plus.Setup was quick and easy, and I really appreciate that it comes ready for Netflix and other streaming apps without extra steps. It honestly feels like having a mini movie theater at home!Another great feature is the auto-focus controls available on the projector and the remote control that comes with it. It makes it really easy to adjust the image to fit properly on the surface that is projecting it.Overall, this projector has exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for something reliable with great picture and sound, I highly recommend it!

I am a bit of a projector nerd; In the 80s and 90s I set up projectors for large-audience multimedia displays, as well as designing home theatres. I still have several old Xenon video projectors from those days, and the first thing I noticed about the “HAPPRUN [ Google TV&DoIby Audio] Smart Projector, Native1080P 1000ANSI” is that is it BETTER than any of those dinosaurs. The Google projector has deeper blacks, better gamma, richer and more accurate colour, and higher resolution, and it is almost as bright as the best of them, with much less heat and power consumption..The auto keystone and focus, using a built-in camera, works well. Zoom is not a true optical zoom, meaning the image does not get brighter as it goes smaller and more concentrated, so it is best to use the projector with a full size image and adjust the distance to the screen. The image is adjusted after pushing a rectangular button at the bottom right of the remote. not in “Settings;” it took me a while to find that out. My cellphone already had (an outdated) copy of Google Chromecast, and that immediately found and took over control of the projector. So all functions can be operated from a cellphone on the same WiFi network as the projector. One glitch I had is that a particular USB hard drive, formatted in exfat, would not play the movie files properly, yet all other devices and projectors have no problem with this drive. The Google projector worked fine with OTHER drives, using Fat32, Exfat, and NTFS. 4K is downscaled to the projector’s native 1080, but not Dolby vision or UHD. On the USB port it decodes all compressed video formats except AV1.Once I connected the projector to my Google account, it gave me access to all my subscriptions; Netflix, Prime, Paramount, Youtube etc, with no re-signing in necessary.I like this projector, it has a good, bright, rich image, bright enough for outdoor nighttime use and a darkened room using a 1:1 gain screen, and even better with 1:4 gain screen. It’s ok with a cloth screen, but not for all scenarios. This is a projector that gives you all the features you want in a budget package.

I bought a less expensive (but only slightly) projector a couple years ago, and used it for gaming for a little, but the sound and picture weren’t the greatest, so didn’t use it much. For only about $30 more, the quality of this projector is far superior. The interface is just like the fire tv on my television (the other one had its own weird interface), that is easy to use right out of the box. The picture is really clear, and projecting from about 10ft away (placed on a tripod setting on a desk) the picture fills my wall. I have a screen, but a white wall would also do. I love that it is auto focus and keystone, both work really well. I have a sliding door I need to cover for it to work well in daylight, but that is easy enough to do. In a darker room or at night, picture is perfect. Sound is adequate for me, but you can set up auxiliary speakers as well, so you can customize to your needs. Love that I can game on it, my eyesight is really bad, and I find playing some games with lots of reading tricky to see. I can hook my pc up to it and see the menu and dialogue text so much better, plus having your game take up the entire wall is pretty fantastic and immersive. Same for movies. The design is really slick and it looks nicer than most of the other ones out there.

I received one Google TV smart projector with remote and cords included.I am really enjoying this, my old projector was big and was not Bluetooth or Wi-Fi able like this one is.I like that because having a bunch of cords coming out the back of it made things messy, this one has one cord, two if you want to use the HDMI.The set up for this was fairly easy, using my google account I set it up and linked my apps, waited a short amount of time and it was set up and ready to use.I’m able to access my google photos , apps and information easily. It takes a bit to find and download apps that aren’t already preinstalled, but not long enough to be frustrating or extra time consuming. The picture is clear when focused and when auto focus or keystone isn’t quite right you can easily fix it via the remote quick settings button. You can also directly access from the remote Youtube, Prime video and Netflix via dedicated button. The remote did not come with batteries ( AAA ). Once I found and installed batteries , the remote /projector response is fast and smooth. There is the option to search by voice which is helpful.Assistant can be used and settings tweaked as you want. The home page is easily navigated, apps are easy to get to and reorder if you want to make them a bit more accessible. The sound on this goes pretty loud, it is clear and there is no distortion.I like the size of this projector, this is light weight and can easily be moved around. When google home app is opened on your phone, you can use it as a remote and other features. The blue tooth and Wi-Fi features make it easy to connect to my speakers, phone and laptop. It would be great to have a nice storage box or bag for it for the unit and it’s accessories.I’ve had it running in the background during the day since I got it and though it does heat up , a fan helped that.Quite happy with this projector and I look forward to using it for a variety of purposes.

This item is 1080P projector television. It features 1000 ANSI lumens, auto focus and auto keystone correction. It has wifi and bluetooth capabilities and comes with a remote control. There are a lot of features packed into this tiny chassis. The auto focus reacts in seconds and also adjusts keystone settings on the fly. Keystone is when you project at a wall at an angle and the closer side of the screen is larger than the farther side.I found the setup to be very easy and quick. After a few settings and connecting to my wifi we began the setup. Although I didn’t have a Google TV account, the unit helped me set it up in minutes. Next was Netflix and then Youtube. Shortly I was able to watch Netflix from the unit itself, and cast a Youtube video to the projector with an iPad. The remote is small (I had to provide the AAA batteries) but had preprogrammed buttons for Netflix and Prime which is handy.I found the keystone correction fascinating. I kept aiming the screen left and right on the wall, and less than five seconds later it was projecting a perfectly rectangular image again. At 1000 lumens you will be limited in where you can use this projector. Brightly lit rooms or rooms with sun are too much for it. The basement, a dark room or outside at night are your options. Note that this is also a short-throw lens. At ten feet from the wall the image was twelve feet wide. That’s probably as far from the wall as you want the projector to be. That poses another problem.A fan in the unit is necessary to keep the bulb cool. But it’s noisy, especially when it’s next to you. So you want a long room where you can sit back further from the twelve foot image and you get to hear more sound and less fan. This review may have sounded negative, but I actually really like the unit. I will likely install it in the basement (it has a mounting bracket) and then hook up a good sound system.

This review is part of the Amazon Vine Review Program, but I aim to be honest and unbiased. I don’t get paid, I review as a hobby. This entrylevel smart projector is very easy to set up and use. The menus are straightforward, and connecting devices or streaming apps is simple, making it convenient for casual movie or show watching. The main drawback is the low brightness. In anything other than a very dark room, the image can look a bit dim and washed out, so it works best in controlled lighting conditions.
