The Gate of Smooth Gaming: In competitive gaming, every frame matters. Introducing Acer’s XV272U gaming monitor – the WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution monitor that can keep up with your game play. Through AMD FreeSync Premium Technology, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker-less, low dimming and ComfyView display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big-screen display. (UM.HX2AA.307).
Resolution Matters: The XV272U 27″ IPS monitor with 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio presents stunning, high-quality images with excellent detail.
ZeroFrame: The zero-frame design does away with the thick frames found on conventional monitors freeing up precious screen space, so you have more to look at from edge to edge.
300Hz Refresh Rate: The 300Hz refresh rate speeds up the frames per second to deliver an ultra-smooth 2D motion scene. With a rapid refresh rate of 300Hz, Acer Monitors shorten the time it takes for frame rendering, lower input lag and provide gamers an excellent in-game experience.
Responsive!!: Up to 0.5ms GTG (Gray to Gray) response time enhanced gamers’ in-game experience. No matter the fast-moving action or any dramatic transitions will be all rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting with XV272U Gaming Monitor.
New Depths of Color Accuracy: This monitor is ideal for color-critical projects producing accurate colors supporting an incredible 99% of the sRGB color space, the current standard utilized by the film industry. An amazing monitor for graphic designers, photographers, and film editors.
VESA DisplayHDR 400: For enhanced color vibrancy, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification ensures better contrast and color accuracy, so customers experience AAA games as they were meant to be.
ErgoStand: The Nitro XV272U has an ergonomically designed stand with -5° to 25° tilt, +/- 20° swivel, +/- 90° pivot and a 5.9″ height adjustment so you can always find that ideal viewing position. A quick-release design lets you separate the monitor from its stand so it can be VESA wall-mounted.

    Best Price to Quality Ratio!
Awesome monitor for the price. I got it for watching movies and occasional gaming, 300hz really makes the difference, I had 240 & 280 earlier and games feel much smoother, The colors need a bit calibration but after that the colours are pretty alright! Build quality is solid, I love the design to provide more airflow and it really helps! I do notice some kind of grain and flicker but for this price it makes sense, Setting up the monitor was very very easy, I play CS and casually the other games and i’m satisfied with what I got. I personally never used USB ports because I don’t need to use them but they will definitely help if you need to charge your phone through it or need some extra ports! Speakers have a very low sound, I got another acer brand monitor , which was around $100 and they sound three times higher in the volume but I rarely use it. Gaming wise this monitor is more than enough you need, Good gaming monitor for the attractive price!

Great value for a Competitve Shooter 1440p monitor
This review is for the 300hz 1440p 27″ variantIt is an excellent monitor for high refresh rate gaming at a relatively budget price. It is not an OLED when it comes to HDR or input latency, but the picture is overall quite decent and it is plenty capable of being a good monitor for a competitive first person shooter player. If you dont want to spend the money for one of thr qd-oled 27″ options, I would certainly recommend this monitor. I have experience comparing this monitor side by side with the Samsung 1440p 240hz 27″ offering that costs a bit more, and I slightly preferred the picture on this one. I also found the difference from 240hz to 300hz noticable on games that my computer could render at these speeds (or higher). If you are looking for a 1440p monitor for competitive shooters, this is the best value and it is relatively more future-proof than a lower Hz monitor, because it will be able to utilize upgrades to your PC for a longer time. It’s a great option for E-Sports, Call of Duty, etc. However, if you mainly play stuff like Diablo or WoW, I would strongly suggest a 3440x1440p (21×9) monitor. The increase in screen size for those games is an incredible asset. In competitive FPS titles and e-sports, you probably benefit more from the extra FPS that a 16:9 gets than the increased peripheral area of a 21:9. That is a longer discussion altogether, so I will just finalize this by saying thay I have compared numerous 16:9 and 21:9 side-by-side with an open mind, and this is my ultimate conclusion. When I ordered this monitor in 11/2024 it was $279. In 3/2025 it is now $259. Get the “Camel Camel” app so that you can see the price history of amazon listings, and make sure that you grab things when they are a good deal.

Great IPS display at a budget-friendly cost
For starters, the Acer brand has never let me down as far as quality and performance goes. I have a Acer CB242Y as my secondary monitor that has lasted for YEARS and still performs like new. I also tried their XFA 23.8” model that was great as well but I recently upgraded GPUs so I have 2K gaming capability now and decided to stay within the brand family and give this model a shot. Monitor shopping definitely seems to be a gamble, this model I received is excellent. Great color/ picture quality. Frames are fast and smooth. IPS light bleed at the edges exists (you’ll never get an IPS display that doesn’t have it) albeit, very minimally which is nice to see. The size is great for most gaming, like single player immersive story AND competitive PVPs like first / third person shooters.I have not experienced any visual anomalies like dead pixels or flickering. Though I will update my review should anything happen. I also like that this monitor has DP 1.4 connection, idk why it seems like all these gaming monitors are running 1.2. Console players beware, this is a HDMI 2.0 monitor so it may not provide you the latest and greatest performance for gaming through that port.

    Good monitor overall
I really loved the monitor. Good ppi and refresh rate. Only issue was with the fact that it’s a bit heavy and you need display port to get 240hz. It runs on 144hz max with HDMI. Decent build quality, just a bit rickety. Included mount is a bit too big. Overall good value for money and good product.

Best monitors for the price /PS5/PC
At first I had the 1080p 144hz version of this monitor for about 2 years.I just have that one to my son, and still works and looks brand new.Just got the 1440p 180hz version today of the same Acer monitor.Works beautifully out the box just like my other did. Picture quality is beautiful, no blurry crap either. Even the 2 watt speakers are ok lol they provide the purpose lolBest Acer monitors I have ever owned , and for the price, can’t beat it.I’ve tried the HDR on both , they do work..but everything looked kinda gray ? I just don’t know how to adjust it good maybe and Idc for HDR anyways lol still worth the buy. I’m a very heavy gamer with my son.Use it for PC and PS5

The monitor arrived 4 days early so I was excited to use it. I set it up and plugged my PS5 in. However when it turned on there is a dead pixel right in the center of the screen. The thing is, it doesn’t bother me while I’m gaming but I know it’s always there and technically I received a defective unit. Thankfully I opted for the two year warranty. If it gets worse, I’m definitely returning it. But other than the dead pixel, everything about this monitor is great.

I LOVE THIS MONITOR. IT’S SO GOOD. If you have a display cable then it works at 160hz but with an HDMI it runs on 144hz, which are both AWESOME. It also has 60 and 30hz options but who’s really using these?

Great resolution for a 27″ monitor. I use photoshop, very satisfied with the colors on the screen. The good reviews I read on amazon are correct. I would like to point out some critical points:- It does not have USB C for display transfer, so no data transfer as will. I mean to say is you need to access your computer USB ports for everything, can’t connect to the monitor.- The stand seems a bit out-fashioned.- When computer stops sending signals, it should go to sleep, but it turns the screen on and keep checking whether there is any active input. (there should have been an option to turn this off, or if there is any I did not find)- No options to change brightness, contrast from monitor OSD. So, I don’t know what is exactly there in gaming 1, 2, 3 profiles! ;-)- Speakers are really okay-ish.These are just nitpicking. Overall, a good monitor. I am getting 2k resolution at 180 Hz using a USB C to Display port cable (should have provided in the box, but I had to buy separately).
