Does a great job, and is actually kind of cute!
Editing my review a few months later, as I’ve discovered the “auto” light mode shuts off all the LEDs in a dark room! Doh! This thing is perfect.We have 2 Great Danes and 2 cats, and we have 5 other air purifiers in our house, (all different brands, all in bedrooms/office – we placed this Alen in our main living area). This is by far my favorite one I’ve ever used.1) It absolutely WORKS. We work hard to keep our house clean, but the sheer number and size of our animals is hard to combat… I notice far less ‘animals live here’ smell when I get home from work.2) The air quality sensor is very responsive and honestly fascinating. It changes colors when my dogs walk past it 😳. If we’re cooking, it goes from blue to orange. My husband was painting a hallway on the other end of the house, and this thing picked up on it. So I see it working in real time on dander, smoke, and VOCs.3) I appreciate the child lock, because as shown in my video my giant dogs WILL try to turn it off with their snouts.4) Quiet. This is in our living room, so I don’t want that ambient noise. I keep it 24/7 on Auto and never notice it.5) It’s attractive and unobtrusive. I like the ‘flat to the wall’ style it has. Other air purifiers I have need clearance on every side or out the back, which makes them annoying to place.6) You don’t HAVE to install the app/have it on wifi to use it. It has touch buttons for everything you need, so it is plug and use immediately.The possible negatives:1) The replacement filters are expensive, BUT – they need to be replaced far less frequently than other brands. So, to me the cost evens out to be the same as the cheaper filters I’m replacing 4x per year. And it’s more convenient for me… I definitely would rather spend more to replace less often.2) There is no option to turn off the light completely. I am a vampire sleeper and like total darkness… I would NOT be able to have this LED light in my bedroom (even low is still pretty bright), or else I would need to cover it with those light blocking stickers.*EDIT – AUTO light mode turns of the LEDs in a dark room! Disregard!As I said before I have amassed FIVE other air purifiers in all the other rooms of our house… Both lower and higher price points, and this is still my favorite. I’m hoping to eventually switch all over to Alen (except maybe in our bedroom, until they give an option to turn the light off completely).

Unique Design / Form Factor – Quiet – Similar in effectiveness to others
We have several Air Purifiers in our home as we have several people who are super sensitive to pollens and airborne pollutants, and all of our units are from different stores/vendors. All these work about the same in terms of effectiveness. However, many differ in other ways such as programmability, sound level, form-factor, etc. I like this particular unit in the Study as it is more rectangular as opposed to round and it fits out of the way against the wall much better than the round ones. It is also super quiet – so it is not distracting while working in the home office. I don’t use the “programmability” features much – but they seem comparable to the other units in the home. If it weren’t for the fact that this unit is about 20% more expensive than the other’s I have – it would have received a solid 5 stars. Overall – still happy with the product!

Worth the money!
When this purifier says it helps remove odors, it is right! I have two dogs in a single story/open floorplan house, and it doesn’t smell like dogs in my house. The purifier helps with keeping odor and dander down, as well as alerts me when there are high VOCs, humidity, temp, etc.The app is great too because I can control it from other parts of my house if needed.

Love how “smart” this air purifier is! Just set it on “auto” & it adjusts based on the room’s needs. The color coded light makes it easier to understand the air quality in the room and the year long filter makes it super low maintenance. Great purchase!

Super quiet, compact, and works great!
Love it! Works fantastic! We live in a tiny studio apartment so I was worried about size and noise if we got an air purifier, but this one is super compact, light-weight, easy to move, and SUPER QUIET! It makes a significant difference for smells, especially for cooking, in addition to air cleanliness! I especially like that it shows you your air quality, can change the lights on it to not be bright while you’re sleeping, and the smart features!
