    Fantastic Monitor from Alienware
This is one of my favorite monitors I have ever owned and used. The clarity, color accuracy, and overall performance is everything I could’ve ever wanted in a monitor and it’s held up amazingly over time. It’s on the slightly bulkier side compared to some of the super high-end monitors but it looks very clean wherever it sits and performs as well as I could as it to.

What you’d expect from an Alienware Monitor (it’s really good)
Beautiful monitor and everything works as expected. VA panels are really slept on, but are honestly the best middleground between contrast, features, and price. If you’re looking for a nice high quality gaming monitor that can also be used for productivity without fears of burn-in, text fringing, or other issues you get with an OLED panel, this is the monitor for you.

    Fantastic Product w/ Downsides
I purchased this monitor a year ago after extensive research. I was looking explicitly for a monitor that had an IPS panel, a fast response rate, a high refresh rate, was QHD, and offered a great warranty. The Alienware offers all of these, at a great price.I’ll list the pros and cons that I’ve experienced over the year of owning this product.Pros:- IPS w/ 98% SDR/HDR color calibration out of the box- High SDR Brightness- 280hz Refresh Rate- 0.5ms Response Rate w/ overdrive- QHD (2560×1440)- Build quality is top tier- Zero ghosting- No flicker- Freesync Pro works with AMD/Nvidia cards- 3 year warranty out of the box from AlienwareCons:- Backlight Bleed is noticeable on black wallpapers or in very dark scenes, probably one of the worst I’ve seen. This is common with this unit if you search it. For me, it’s not a massive issue because I only use it for bright FPS titles. I have an ultrawide OLED for other games.- Alienware UI is lacking compared to competitors. The UI feels like there’s a lot, but there’s actually not. This is especially true if you try HDR mode, where the panel will lock the color, and brightness settings. Why this is makes no sense to me.- No HDMI 2.1. This doesn’t really matter since it’s not a 4k monitor, but I would assume it would have one since the monitor was released after the currentgen consoles. At the price, it surprised me. I use DP 1.4 either way, so it wasn’t an issue for me.- No speakers. This personally doesn’t affect me as I use either headphones or a surround system. However, it technically is a con.- Mediocre HDR performance. The HDR performance is mediocre at best. The gray uniformity isn’t the greatest because the backlight bleed, which takes away from the highs and lows HDR tries to accomplish. The HDR brightness is also technically below standard. I would recommend SDR, which looks very good anyway.- Semigloss screen coating. The coating appears more matte than semigloss to me, but it’s not bad per say. It’s still good enough to not wash out the colors like some matte coatings, but I definitely feel like calling this semigloss isn’t accurate. I would rather call it lightly matte.Conclusion:- This monitor excels at being a top tier choice at competitive fast moving games like CoD, CS2, Overwatch, Etc. However, it does not excel at games that would be better played on an OLED or MiniLED panel. I own this monitor strictly for FPS titles, and have the OLED AW3423DWF for other games. My use for this monitor is fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who plays fast paced competitive games and can push the frames to utilize the refresh rate.

A Solid Monitor for Gaming for Descent Budget
Never really expected Alienware to have their own Monitors, but here we are. Overall this is a great budget gaming monitor if you want to have 1440P experience. It was easy to setup, refresh rate is at 180hz but you must use the Display Port Cable. Luckily it came with both Display and HDMI cables ontop of the power cable. Nice size for 27” and few nice settings you can fine tune with. Overall I’m very happy with thiss.

    Yes it’s good!
The AW2725DM was very exceptional, met my expectations for a “budget” Alienware monitor. The IPS panel is quick and speedy. The brightness and vivid colors pop out realistically. Putting the monitor together was the easiest thing I’ve ever done in my life, I spent more time opening the box than I did assembling the monitor onto the stand, just a simple click on the back. The monitor on the back is thick, but the side borders are very small and slim so that makes it look like a sleek design from Dell/AW. Overall great experience, and it’s not too heavy if you’re wondering!

High-quality monitor that is big on specs but not in price.
95% DCI-P3, 180hz, 1MSPRT, 10bit color, HDR400. The picture is vibrant and crisp and colors are deep and rich. I calibrated the monitor using a Display Checker and the OOB colors were not very far off from the calibrated ones. The extra nice part is that the monitor runs at 180hz and you get 1 MSPRT in whatever mode you use. It’s a phenomenal monitor for the cost.

I was hoping better from Alienware.
Not too happy with Alienware right now. I had an LG monitor that was close to this type of monitor in regard to specs. I had horrific problems with the LG monitor. When I spoke with LG support, their support was even worse. I learned my lesson. No more el-cheap-o monitors. I decided to go with Dell aka Alienware. Alienware, from what I was told, was Dell’s premium brand. Dell being a United States company, the monitor had a 3 year warranty compared to LG’s one year, and unlike LG, where if you don’t email LG stating that you remove your self from forced arbitration if anything goes wrong (Just Google LG Forced Arbitration) you’re up the old flag pole, This being the prem-o Dell monitors, I decided on Dell! The monitor arrived the evening of July 31, 2025. It’s my baby, especially for the price I paid for it. Today, is August 4, 2025, about four days later. I was in LibreOffice (Open Source version of something like Microsoft Office). I was writing a report and in the middle of writing the report a large black vertical bar appeared on my monitor. See screenshot attached. Directly below this bar is the USB hub of the monitor, which is very hot to the touch. The monitor has never been bumped. It sits on top of my desk, plugged into an expensive surge protector. And, no lighting storm since I even had the monitor. I’m guessing a loose wire due to how hot it is directly below the vertical line. I called Dell support. Much easier to speak with than LG. But, all he could tell me is that it would take a week or longer before a replacement could be sent out. Since, the monitor is new and well within the 30-day return period, I decided to send it back to Amazon. So far, not impressed with Alienware. I thought I could trust Sheldon Cooper :).

This is my first Alienware and curved monitor, and I’m loving it. It came really well packed with thoughtful design—even the box made it easy to lift out once the stand was attached. Assembly only took a few minutes. It’s definitely on the heavier side, but the build feels super solid. I’m using it on a PC and appreciated that it came with all three cords for graphics card input. The curve adds a really immersive feel, and the widescreen gives me plenty of space to run multiple apps without feeling cluttered. The blacks are deep, colors are crisp, and I haven’t noticed any glare or reflection. The height adjusts easily depending who’s using it, and I like the simple setup with minimal buttons. The settings are user-friendly and let me tweak the display exactly how I like.Great monitor for both gaming and productivity.
