Good First Impressions
So far, after using the watch for a week now, I am impressed. I’ve used other smart watches and this has been the best so far. Seems some of the difficulties I’ve experienced with watches in the past are better with this T Rex 3.BT connectivity is better. No issues linking up to my phone. And when loosing connectivity due to distance or such, the watch and the Zepp app seem to reconnect very well. I do not, and have not had to go through any BT reconnect process since my first pairing. The heart rate monitor seems much more reliable than other watches. The sleep pattern and logging of such seems very accurate and reliable as well. As with most watches, lots of functions and apps I’ll never use, but the ones I do use, seem to work well.I like the excersize tracker functions. One of the features I never thought about, but once playing around with it, I have found it very useful in incorporating into my routine.I did notice the compass and GPS all seemed to calibrate and function much quicker and with more accuracy with this T Rex 3. I was pleased with that result. The mapping feature is working and kind of interesting. Not a feature I’ve used before, but can see where it could be worthy of trying. The ability to use phone, SMS and such works well, with replies and messaging working well paired with my Samsung Galaxy. In general, typical features found on this watch all seem to work as advertised. The Zepp app has many, many features which seem to be interesting, but haven’t yet played around with. No issues with downloading or pairing or data updates from the watch. All in all, seems like Amazfit and Zepp work very well together. As with most smart watches, the navigation through its apps and functions can be “trial and err”, but I find this watch to be very near others and no more difficult while being and very similar to others. The Zepp app can be intrusive with permission requests and such, but always having, and giving the option to allow or deny. All depends on what the user finds useful or not.Watch itself is very lite on my wrist. I’m not a big fan of the band, more like a plastic, silicone band, but works fine, just not my preference. Display is very nice and bright, clear and crisp. Battery seems to be working as advertised as well. Vibration intensity and volume of the watch is beyond sufficient. All in all, very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this watch. Don’t have any real downsides to it yet. In using this watch and considering it’s cost, I can’t image why anyone would spend more for other watches. Seems this watch is very near perfect with all the bells and Whistles anyone would need at a reasonable price.

Durable and bright
I switched from an Apple Watch to the TRex. The main reason I wanted to switch was battery life. The Apple Watch at best could get 24-30 hours, but general use 24hrs was my average.I looked at the Garmin Fenix 8 but I really just didn’t want to pay that price. I watched review after review and felt the TRex was the right fit for my needs.Concerns before I purchased:- messaging- calls- no SpeakerI have had the device now for about 45 days.Durability – this is a solid watch. I have been doing a full kitchen gut and remodel. I have warn this watch the whole time and it looks like me. No scratches or evidence of any damage.Battery Life – I think confidently 18 days is consist. The first few days I was messing with the settings and looking it over a lot so battery was only 10 days after charging to 90%. I think you could get even more if I turned off notifications and brightness down.Navigation and menus – the OS is really smooth. Very fast to respond. I like the mix of buttons and touch screen. Especially when you have gloves on and suchInsights and Health – I think it is far more accurate on steps than my Apple Watch. I wore both watch’s on the same wrist for a full day and I never realized how many non steps my Apple Watch was picking up. I was sitting and typing at my desk. The Apple Watch picked up a nearly 100 phantom steps. The TRex picks up stress pretty well. It notices when I am thinking about a topic that is stressing me, like “is my flooring going to arrive in time?” Or “we only have x hours to complete this before the contractors are here!” Lots of good health habit reminders and such. I am looking forward to getting more use out of them once this project is over.Price, quality, and worry – when you have an expensive watch you worry about damage. It’s not to say I don’t worry about this watch, but when it’s 1/3 or 1/5 of the price of the other watches you looked at, it’s nice to be able to just enjoy it. Lots of compliments on its appearance and screen brightness. A lot of watch for the processThe gaps:I do have moments I wish I could do a voice reply to a text or quick reply, but Apple doesn’t allow that.No speaker is a kind of a bummer and I typically don’t pair my headphones to my watch, but that would be nice to be phone free for a run or workout.Overall, I really like the watch. I thought I would miss the Apple Watch integrations, but I don’t. The TRex still has the camera remote and find my phone features. I don’t really notice anything yet that I miss from my Apple Watch that I would say is a “send it back!” Thing.Updates are fast and so far little tweaks will continue to improve it. I would by it again.

You can’t go wrong
I don’t use this watch for any of intended purposes. That being said, I’m happy with it.First charge, the battery lasted well over 3 weeks. After I played with the settings and got it to how i prefer, I get about 2 weeks which is great. Spends more time on my wrist than the charger. I was in between Apple ultra watch and Samsung ultra. After I couldn’t pair my Samsung ultra watch with my iPhone, I decided to get the Apple ultra. I just couldn’t pull the trigger. Having to charge so many things daily is a turn off. Phone, AirPods, and then the watch? So I decided to start looking at battery life to being the main reason to pick a watch. Found this beauty. Enough with the backstory. battery life is great compared to other watches, but NOT as promised. Band doesn’t feel good, something about it feels cheap. Got another aftermarket one, no biggie.Watch looks amazing (imo) AOD (always on display) is so so so nice. I’m coming from Apple Watches, where if you use aod, battery goes even quicker. How many times I’ve forgotten my watch at home bc I let it charge over night. Aod on the amazfit and I’m getting like 10 days with it. Only down side is, you can’t reply to texts from the watch if your on iOS. Android, I believe you can. Love this watch, had it for 3 months, I will definitely be back to update, stay tunedUpdateThe charging puck is horrible and can easily be lost. They should do it like other companies and have a wire attached to the puck so it’s not easily lost. I’m sure they have that if you go aftermarket. Battery life is steadily getting worse with each charge. I’m get around 9 days now. I can only assume it will get worse with time. Overall, still happy with the purchase

I’ve had the Amazfit Trex 3 for 18 days and it has met all expectations, so far. I charged it out of the box to top up the battery from 70% to 100% and it is still at 42%. I find it fairly accurate in counting my steps (+/- 1 to 2%) and overall the heart rate, calories, etc also seem reasonable. I’ve had 2 other smart watches that failed or quit after about 1 year. Aside from expected accuracy, I wanted a truly waterproof watch that could a few splashes from hand washing or the occasional dunk into a bucket of water, and a watch the could the odd bump here or there. Again, so far, so good. The manual is not overly informative, so I’m still exploring a few of the apps but no real usability issues. Happy with the purchase, so far.

The reason i bought was the battery life. I am getting 14 days with always on Display and 25-30 days with always on display off. Light weight wonderful watch and full of features.
