Within 20 minutes of opening this product, I had already saved myself the price of the product and gained a huge amount of relief. This product actually does what the Amazon page implies that it does. Let me explain.I had a “check engine” light come on, but like so many cars, that warning light is a catch-all for any number of problems that range from a loose gas cap to problems with oxygen sensors in the exhaust chamber… After plugging in the product (which conveniently lit up and told me to then start my car), I was able to zoom in and find out exactly why the “Check Engine” light had been displayed. In my case, it was a problem with something I’d never heard of before (something about a leak in the “evap” system…However, the unit also had an option to run a diagnostic for that particular problem. (I’ll admit that that feature was a tiny bit harder to find, but I stumbled across it without too much effort.) So, I ran the diagnostic for that thing and it came back “OK”. Then, because the current diagnostic indicated that the problem no longer existed, I was able to use the product to “cancel” the “check engine” light. My thinking here was that if the problem no longer existed, then I’ll cancel the warning light and if the problem comes back, then and only then will I take it to a mechanic to run down.There may be a more serious, intermittent problem that will end up having to be handled by a professional mechanic, but mechanics these days charge $100-$500 to diagnose these problems, independent of what it would cost to fix it. So the ~$20 for this product has given me the peace of mind for now that the problem is at least intermittent (i.e. it isn’t currently experiencing the problem that caused the original warning), and it has saved me the price of a costly diagnostic.I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Good piece of equipment at a good price ❗️
My biggest concern with this code reader, was the owners manual. If it had a font size that was readable I would give it five stars. It is a good piece of equipment at a good price. It works on a wide variety of vehicles.

Worked perfectly
A real life saver product. My check engine light had come on. I got this to see what the issue was. Plugged it in, checked the code, got the meaning of the code instantly. Turned out my gas cap was not secured good enough. Tightened it up, cleared the code, no more check engine light. Save probably 75 buck or more by using this instead of taking it to the dealership. 5 stars for sure!

Easy to use, mission complete!
I installed some lights on my car and after starting it up, a few moments later, my engine died and I received four error codes on my dashboard display. After disconnecting the lights, the errors went away. This unit was able to show me those codes and clear them. It also has several system/diagnostic tests that it can perform as well as tell/graph a bunch of live diagnostic stats. This unit was simple to use, connect to ODBII port, turn on ignition, if necessary turn on engine (live diagnostics), and press the buttons. No issues for my needs.
