Better than expected
The camera seems of good quality and is of heavyweight and does what it says it does. I was surprised. Video quality is good.. ptz works good. App is fairly intuitive and is feature rich. The bad point is that there was no SD card…but not a big deal. Now I will run it and see quality of battery and charging capability. I was able to access camera from across town, so it configured access seamlessly…although a little scary.Feedback: All cameras should be able to stream video back to local hard drive.This would be a game changer in the market. So many more purchases to get this camera to be viable. My Ai on one camera is different than the other. May have to resetSettings look the same. Firmware updates right from the start. So security backup to the cloud circumvents the whole philosophy of privacy, by exploiting data redundancy.I would really like to know the contents of the actual packets that are being sent to cloud…any physical location. Can someone use Ai to get locate if their servers are exploited ?…more to come.UPDATE: So the camera mount does not have a solid locking mechanism. We had a wind event and the camera fell off. It was damaged when we drove over it almost. It was a very loud noise, but it luckily just dragged it. I thought for sure it was a gonner. THE CAMERA IS TOUGH.But I’m sure it won’t last very long. I will see if they will send out a replacement. Very weird. I have video of it falling of on my cctv security system.

Great price, great camera, great quality
I researched for months and decided to pull the plug on this baby. Well I am glad I did!!! After ordering from Amazon I received my camera in two days! The camera was well packaged and looked great. I unpacked it and it felt very sturdy made of great material. I read the instructions and they are pretty simple to understand. The mounting is extremely easy. Screw the mounting plate by three screws that are included in the kit is a very easy task. The kit also comes with an adhesive sticker to place where the mount will go so the holes can be drilled if mounting on a brick wall or to drill pilot holes for the screws. Kit also comes with charging wire, USB A to USB C to charge the camera before installing it (which I highly recommend). This way the solar panel on the camera can just maintain the power in the batteries instead of trying to play catch up.I set up the camera to charge before ever installing it , because they are usually not fully charged. I connected the camera to charge and while it charged I download the AOSU App from the app store. I created an account and registered. I then turn on the camera and began adding it to the AOSU app. It was very easy to add. After syncing the camera I can now see the charging percentage of the camera.Fast forwardI mounted the camera and was so easy to install. After the installation I played around with the cameras pan, tilt, and zoom and boy are they just awesome. From the instant response to the virtual controls to the image being so clear. The motion detection is awesome, cameras will follow the motion it detects very accurately.. Every time my doggos were outside my cameras would follow them. The zoom is great and very clear. Night Vision is excellent, I posted Night vision picture with no lights and a night time image with my solar lights. Overall, this camera has been the best Security Cameras I have ever owned. AOSU has the best performing cameras at a very great value. Very inexpensive. Plus with the local SD card storage there is no need for subscription ( No Subscription Required) . The fixed solar panel eliminates the use of wires and electricity. Also, your connection will depend on where the camera is placed. I recently upgraded my wifi with mesh wifi so I connected my camera to the closest mesh to the cameras and I’m getting 99% connectivity. Couldn’t be happier with my AOSU Solar Security Camera SolarCam D1 Classic is A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PRODUCT.

Perfect night vision, but inaccurate detection
I will say, this is my first surveillance camera ever so there’s always a chance these issues arose due to me not setting something up in a certain way. But it is an amazing camera and gives what I would say is pretty much perfect quality videos, even at night.The quality is amazing! I got it because I was setting food out for a feral cat in hopes to get him taken care of. The first night it didn’t detect anything but that was because I had it set to people. I changed it to detect all motion and signed up for the pro plan; that night it picked up amazing footage! I couldn’t see the cat with my own eyes, but could see him perfectly clear through the camera. I will say, the detection in terms of dangerous animals or weapons is not accurate at all. The first cat it told me it was a raccoon and the second one it let me know there was a possible bear. It also would say possible weapon detected when I just walked across the field of view with nothing in my hands. This doesn’t really bother me because I got it just for monitoring the feral cats, but thought it might help someone else! One other thing was I kept having to manually adjust the camera to point towards the area I wanted because it would put itself in a specific position and if I tried to adjust the camera through the app it would say that I’m hitting the edge. Not sure if it tracked movement and got stuck in that position, or if it just put itself in that position.

Great cameras, I have 4 of them. My husband installed them pretty easily. They secure our home 360. The picture quality is great, even at night being able to detect anyone, and actually being able to see in color. The light, siren and being able to speak to someone is a plus! They have been working great after 1 year of purchase. One of them stopped charging (solar), I contacted the support team, explained the problem and since I had bought it less than a year, they replaced it with no problem. It’s been a few months after the replacement and the camera has been working perfectly. They’ve been so kind, besides having great cameras, I loved the help of the support team, the fast service and that I feel comfortable knowing that while I have warranty I can trust they will help me if an issue occurs.

Und dank der abschaltbaren automatischen Bewegungsverfolgung bleibt nichts unbeobachtet. Das ist einfach genial!Das integrierte Solarpanel bietet eine ausreichend Energieversorgung sodass kein Kabelanschluss benötigt wird. This is an excellent security camera! Setup is quick and effortless, and the picture quality is outstanding. The night vision works flawlessly, and the included solar panel keeps the battery fully charged whenever it gets sunlight. Even without sun, the battery lasts for weeks, so there’s no need to worry about cloudy days. For its price range, this camera offers an impressive number of features. The human-tracking function performs very well, and events can be recorded either on a separately purchased micro SD card or through optional cloud storage. Overall, I highly recommend both this camera and Aosu as a company.
