Assassin’s Creed Shadows – A Stunning Triumph in Every Sense
Ubisoft has truly outdone itself with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. From the moment I stepped into Feudal Japan, I was captivated by the game’s sheer graphical fidelity. Every environment is beautifully detailed, from sun-drenched forests to rain-slick rooftops. But what completely stole the show for me was the female protagonist. She’s not only an incredibly well-written and engaging character, but her in-game model is stunning. Every facial expression, every subtle emotional nuance is captured with breathtaking precision. It adds so much to the immersion—she doesn’t just look real, she feels real.Gameplay-wise, Shadows is tight, fluid, and engaging. Whether you’re sneaking through shadows or engaging in sword-to-sword combat, it just feels right. The dual protagonist dynamic works incredibly well, offering variety and depth to how you can approach missions. And yes, to address the controversy: the inclusion of a Black samurai is not only historically accurate—it’s a nod to a real figure, Yasuke. Anyone with access to Google and a shred of curiosity can learn that in under two minutes. His presence in the game isn’t just justified—it’s powerful, respectful, and adds a rich layer of diversity to a setting that many mistakenly view as monolithic. If you’re dismissing this masterpiece over that, you’re not interested in history or storytelling—you’re just looking for something to complain about.Assassin’s Creed Shadows is bold, beautiful, and easily one of the best entries in the series. Don’t let ignorance or noise on the internet sway you—this game deserves to be experienced

Beautiful game! They redeemed themselves! Worth the wait!
Beautiful Game! They changed a few things and it seems more fun. The visuals are stunning! It is time consuming but as a dedicated Assassins Creed fan this is really good. I love them all! It does get repetitive with the “meditation” parts but its to keep you engaged in the story. So far so good 20 hours in and about 40% i dont want to stop playing it! Its refreshing! Good comeback!

Ubisoft should just go out of business already. This title was their best effort? Oof.
Ubisoft delayed the game multiple times only to deliver a disappointment. How embarrassing. Gameplay is that of a game 10 years older than this, messy, clunky and stiff… Yikes. Visuals are blurry and there are invisible walls and thick brush you can easily get trapped in everywhere. Gives you the illusion of being able to traverse the area until you glitch in a bundle of trees. Just a mess.

Another Great Feudal Japan driven game
Great game getting great positive reviews despite it’s controversy surrounding the company….nonetheless you should buy this game and go have yourself a blast.if your like me who loves feudal Japan driven games then Assassin’s Creed Shadows is no exception.its based on real historic events & characters.i was shocked to know that the great Oda Nobunaga,Mitsuhide Akechi, and Hattori Hanzo are all featured in the game’s story.

Think for yourself and do not let others tell you what to buy
I’m having an absolute blast. This game is great. Ignore all the hate it’s getting is all I can say. This is a game you will need to see for yourself to judge and ignore everyone else. I normally don’t give reviews but I felt the need to do one for this one on a count most of the hate isn’t even from people who bought it. I actually bought and played the game else I couldn’t make this review.

Overall Decent Game, but Lacks Depth
Although it’s an upgrade from previous installments in terms of graphical and animation mechanic features, it’s still following the same formula of gameplay since AC Origins, with a couple of new additions that I personally appreciated. The world is beautifully constructed like any Assassin’s Creed game, but it lacks depth. I’ve been a fan since the original AC game in 2007, and really missed that style of gameplay, where you are just an “Assassin”, emphasizing on stealth, simple assassinations and combat mechanics, and fluid parkour like in AC Unity. The RPG element is still the dominant feature here, for those that like it, great, I personally don’t. Stealth has been improved greatly compared to AC Valhalla & Mirage; one cool feature I like is that shadows makes the character hidden. The story is kinda flat, where I wish we could just play with one character, I prefer Yasuke, because you can really see what it likes coming into the world of feudal Japan is, from his perspective as a foreigner. Make Yasuke nimble and an Assassin/Samurai would’ve been perfect for me, instead the brute that he is in the game. The story element has caused many controversies, because of Yasuke, but I feel like people are overreacting to it. It is a fictional game, and previous AC games have done this before. My point is, Yasuke, was a real person, now whether he was a Samurai or not is debatable, but that is what make it interesting, and the developer could and should have capitalized on that background, maybe making Yasuke a Samurai, and then switches side to the Assassins. Not trying to drag this review even longer, AC Shadows is a decent game set in a very interesting period of Japan, with beautiful graphics, but still lack in overall gameplay. I’d suggest waiting until a price cut or discount to get this game.
