So much fum
I have spent hours upon hours playing and replaying this game! Team ASOBI has crafted a masterpiece. The game-play is so simple yet incredibly fun. The game is easy enough for a child yet has challenge levels to test the most experienced plat-former. There is not a bad level in the entire game and the power-ups keep the game fresh. The added bonus time trials and Christmas level are welcome additions, especially since they are free. The graphics and music are stellar. I would give this game a perfect 10.

Loved the game from start to finish. Beautiful looking worlds, Fun as HECK! Gameplay with lots of different power ups between worlds. I recommend trying to get all the Puzzles & Bots from each Galaxy. Makes the game a bit longer & funner because it’s relatively easy. If you want to get extra bots, chase & run into passing asteroids & those mini levels are HARD AF! They will give you the challenge you’re looking for. This game has everything! Some worlds have a secret passage to hidden worlds called the Lost Galaxy. Each Galaxy has about two in two of their planets. Some worlds you would have to do over again to get the missing puzzles and bots that you missed and if you’re willing to pay 200 coins and once you restart a level, The little bot bird will help you find the remaining puzzles & bots you missed. The last Boss switches things up BIG TIME from the platforming formula & makes you use all power ups to beat him & turns into a spaceship battle before facing him. This is the Mascot platforming game that PlayStation has needed since Crash Bandicoot. Since Xbox practically owns Crash now, Sony has finally got their mascot with a Mario 64 esq worthy Game in their main catalog now. This game is imaginative, creative, beautiful, fun, challenging when it wants to be, & nostalgic for anybody who has been following PlayStation all the way back from the first console. So many references to other games with bots that look like them and even even a few worlds based on them such as horizon zero Dawn, God of war and uncharted. Making you even use their signature weapons on that level. I can’t praise this game enough. It’s perfect. Only bad thing I can say that it was not long enough. 20 plus hours & I’m done. I damn near 100 percented the game. I got all the puzzles & only about 20 bots shy of getting all 300. I beat it over the weekend & now I’m just sad that it’s now over 😢. Luckily I can always go back and get the remaining bots 😁

A leap over Astro’s Playroom and into a must buy on PS5
Astro Bot can can be seen as successor to Astro’s Playroom but where as Astro’s Playroom is more like creative tech demo, Astro Bot is 100% a game. That will feel obvious early on. The levels are highly creative as a 3D platformer and somehow stays fresh throughout the game which is saying something. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the game throws something new at you or reintroduce something you had before mechanically but with a different way of using it for that level.I’m not kidding when I say they’ve somehow came up with a lot more creative ways to use the DualSense controller than even in Astro’s Playroom. It’s quite cool and enjoyable throughout and manages to not get old.A bunch of characters you will be familiar with in other franchises, some 1st party, some third party associated with PlayStation in some ways show up in this and help out. But like a said, this is a game. It has it’s own combat, puzzles, boss fights and overall story too. Game will bring a smile to all who play it. It’s a game for everyone(i’m grown, I bought it for myself lol) but I personally feel like a game like this would make the perfect Christmas gift(or Birthday present) for your kids along with getting them a PS5 if they don’t have one. This is the kind of game that will bring a smile to their faces as they play it as they see all the characters and interact with them and the levels the game has. The game is worth every penny it is asking for.

Phenomenal homage to longtime fans and fun for the kids.
I got this primarily for my daughter who is more of a Nintendo fan and their style of games. Sony hasn’t always made plays for this demographic but here we are.Style: This has personality for days. Tons of little touches to the levels. Honestly high equality execution. Character robots are all modeled after popular characters from years long ago along with new ones.Sound: Charming soundtrack which is s nice layer of ambience.Gameplay: There are a number of levels and characters to “save”. All the main levels are great for the young to enjoy. Then there are challenge levels and some of these are quite the challenge.The only real negative i can say about the entire experience is the monkey arms mechanic. It’s terrible in the challenge levels but works great when not rushed in the regular levels.Overall this was one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. Absolutely worth owning.

Lots of Bots
I’ve been playing this game for some hours now, and I must confirm that it is worth every one of the accolades it has received. In fact, it is even worth buying at full retail price, contrary to my usual practices!Everything here is so utterly charming, with a new delight or surprise around every bend.PlayStation fans will grin at the Bots Astro Bot rescues, including such famous PS stars as Ratchet (and Rivet!), Crash Bandicoot, and Parappa the Rapper, among many others.But most of all, this game plays like buttah! THIS is one platform game that enables steady progress, compared to something like Jedi Survivor, which is plagued with difficulty spikes that make me set the title aside for days if not weeks at a time.Things just work here. And did I mention the bouncy music that will stick in your head?All in all, one of the best games on the PS5!
