Product description

Lightweight Design
he monitor has been slimmed down to weigh only 7.4 oz, and there are added locating holes alongside the 1/4″-20 threads for anti-twist mounting. A single L-series battery plate on the back has been placed in the center to improve balancing and maneuverability.

Brighter Display
The 5.2″ touchscreen display is 50% brighter than the Shinobi, measuring 1500 cd/m² peak brightness, making it easily readable whether you’re shooting indoors or in bright sunlight.

Camera control
Using specially designed on-screen sliders you can adjust white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle and ISO. A red edge display indicates when the camera is recording internally, whether triggered by the camera or from the Shinobi II.

Perfect for video and photography
Shinobi II will run all day on a single battery and offers a host of professional monitoring features. Set up your shots accurately using our advanced histograms, waveforms and videoscopes. A multi-tool Analysis View gives you all the essential info at a glance. There’s even a selfie Mirror Mode for vloggers. Shinobi II is the perfect accessory to improve any photo or video production.

Cable locking
Atomos has developed a unique and rugged locking ecosystem to maintain a secure grip on connected HDMI and USB-C cables and Shinobi II is supplied with a special bracket to facilitate this. With Atomos locking cables (purchased separately) it is the most robust capture cable system available today. Shinobi II is also fully compatible with standard, non-locking cables.

Great monitor at affordable price
So far, I’ve used it on 3 shoots with my Panasonic GH6 and it works great. Sharp and lightweight.I am going to add a screen protector, had a close call in a crowded shooting area, but overall very happy. It’s a great price point with a lot of features. It’s only HDMI in, so if you have more professional cameras it may not have as much functionality as you need, but fits my needs perfectly.

Great FX3 Companion Monitor
Loving this monitor so far. Coming from a cheap Feelworld, this feels leaps in bounds better, from the build quality to the functions. The brightness in direct sunlight can be a bit rough, but overall it’s still usable. I’m using this with an FX3 and the touch functionality and camera controls have been great. I’ve even got a v-mount to dummy battery powering the monitor and the monitor powering my camera and it seems to work just fine. Overall, I think it’s worth the price if you’re willing to skip out on the RAW recording that their other monitors offer.

Camera Control for the Win!
Love the camera control with my Canon R6 MK II now I don’t want to buy a monitor without that feature.

Great form factor, poor execution. Unusable monitor.
I came from a Ninja V looking for a lighter, lower-power option for monitoring only, and Atomos OS 11 seemed like a great fit. After unboxing and loading my LUTs, I was barely 25 minutes in before the monitor felt hot enough to burn my fingers, this was even while using a dummy battery. I reached out to support, and their only suggestion was a firmware update, which I had already done before setting up my LUTs. After that, Atomos went silent with no real resolution. In short, this monitor runs way too hot, has a poor thermal design, and lacks real usability for a professional workflow. No surprise it’s being discounted… It’ll likely stay that way until they fix the issue. Until then, it’s unusable for any professional.

Perfect monitor to pair with your Sony FX3 or other supported cameras.
A perfect monitor to pair with the FX3. It has the functionality with the FX3 for Touch to Focus, the screen is bright enough to see during bright sunny days. It’s very reasonably priced and high quality for what you great.

So slow to power up
Bought this after looking at a million reviews. It’s okay, what is inconvenient is that it doesn’t have two screws, for vertical and horizontal shooting and that the power up time is like 30 seconds so when you want to turn it in you just have to wait.. and wait.. and wait but it doesn’t get bright which is nice

New Monitor who dis?
Great product! Monitor arrived on time as advertised! Picture quality is A1 and the new update has the “touch to focus” feature that was missing from the early software versions.
Sinkers –
The Atomos Shinobi II is such a good monitor. The picture quality is outstanding, sharp, bright, and clear, even in different lighting conditions. I was stoked to see how good the image looked straight out of the box. It’s also very easy to connect and set up, which makes it perfect for quick shoots or on-the-go work. The build feels solid and professional, not flimsy at all, so I can trust it will last. Overall, this monitor delivers everything I expected and more. If you’re looking for a reliable field monitor with excellent image quality, this is the one to get.

Remplace avantageusement mon Ninja V trop gros et trop lourd. Connexions et recharges parfaites avec FX3 et A7IV. Du tout bon !

It’s a modern lightweight monitor that can be used on most cameras.Although I tried using it on my DJI Ronin 4D, unfortunately it doesn’t have DJI monitoring settings.

Monitor che volevo io ottimo

I’ve been using the Atomos Shinobi II with my Sony FX30 rig, and it’s completely changed how I shoot. This monitor isn’t just a screen—it’s a precision tool that’s earned its place in my kit.EL Zone False Color = No More Light MeterThe EL Zone false color mode is a game-changer. It gives me exposure feedback that’s far more intuitive and accurate than traditional false color. I’ve stopped using my light meter altogether. Whether I’m lighting interviews or dialing in skin tones, I trust what I see on this monitor.Outdoor Beast: 1000+ Nit BrightnessShooting outdoors? No problem. The Shinobi II’s 1000-nit HDR display punches through sunlight like it’s nothing. I’ve used it in full daylight with no hood, and it’s still perfectly visible. The screen is sharp, color-accurate, and responsive.Color Calibration with Calibrite HLI calibrated the monitor using the Calibrite ColorChecker Display HL, and the results are stunning. Colors are consistent across my workflow—from camera to post. If you care about color fidelity, this feature alone makes it worth the investment.Power & Rig IntegrationI run the Shinobi II off my V-mount battery via USB-C PD, and it’s rock solid. No overheating, no power drops. It integrates seamlessly with my fully rigged FX30 setup (SmallRig cage, 99Wh battery, Shinobi II, teleprompter), and it handles the weight and power demands like a champ. Why It’s a Must-Have:• EL Zone false color = exposure confidence• 1000-nit brightness = daylight visibility• Calibratable for pro color workflows• USB-C PD = easy power from V-mounts• Lightweight, rugged, and beautifully designedIf you’re serious about monitoring and want a tool that delivers pro-level features without the bulk or complexity, the Shinobi II is it. I wouldn’t shoot without it.
