Great upgraded projector!
I have received the projector and have been using it for a few days now. Overall, this is a great product and one I recommend to others! In my review, I’ll also include some comparison points to the EAZZE D1 model since I have both.- UnboxingThe packaging was well done. The device is bigger than expected, compared to the D1 model. One thing I noticed that was lacking compared to the D1 model was an HDMI cable. Since the D1 Max model retails at $500 currently, I think it should come with an HDMI cable like the cheaper D1 model.- SetupSetting up the D1 Max model was much more straightforward than the D1 model. Having Google TV integrated into the projector made the initial setup seamless to do. The auto focus and keystone correction are a big improvement over the D1 model. I found myself constantly having to adjust the keystone on the D1 model but the D1 Max gets the job done perfect on the first attempt.- Visual and Audio ClarityThe visuals of the D1 Max model are much better than the D1 model. I have the projector set up in my bedroom and have it projecting onto our beige colored walls ~10-12 ft away, and the picture quality is excellent. The screen is brighter and the colors pop better than the D1 model. Furthermore, the image is easier to see with the lights on or the blinds open than the D1 model. I feel like I could have this playing all day and have no issues seeing the images. The audio is also a big improvement. I adjusted the bass and treble to my liking, which improved the sound quality. When I initially set it up, the default settings were rather weak/flat-sounding. Increasing the base and treble helped change that a lot.- StreamingThis is the biggest improvement for me over the D1 model. Having Google TV makes it so much easier to stream and watch content over the D1 model. We bought a Fire TV stick for the D1 model, which helped overcome some of the streaming challenges, but having Google TV eliminates the need for that stick. One drawback I noticed between the two models is that the screen mirroring picture size is better for the D1 model than the D1 Max. Using Google Home to share my screen from my Samsung phone, as recommended by the manual in the box, results in a smaller screen than just screen mirroring directly from my phone to the projector through the screen mirroring app like in the D1 model. I don’t know if its the limitation of Google that reduces the screen size but it is a noticeable difference.- CritiquesA few criticisms for this model. First – the device is not compatible with the Aurzen foldable stand we bought for the D1 model. I wish we could screw in the same stand to the newer model but with the bigger size and heavier weight, it is an understandable compromise. I don’t anticipate using a ceiling mount so having another folding stand that can fit this projector would be nice. If Aurzen offers such a product for this model, I would be interested in purchasing it. Second, I do wish the projector power button wasn’t lit when the projector is off. It seems like a waste of energy. Similarly, I wish the green light on the power brick wasn’t there – it seems unnecessary to have a light on that.

Great projector for the price
The Aurzen EAZZE D1 MAX is an excellent projector for its price. The picture quality is bright, sharp, and clear even in rooms with some light. Colors look rich, and the image stays crisp thanks to the fast autofocus and keystone correction. The built-in speakers are good, making it great for movies or games without needing extra audio. Setup is simple, and the wireless screen-mirroring works smoothly with both iPhone and Android. Overall, it delivers premium performance at an affordable price. The only issue I had was it won’t play YouTube 4K videos.

Great product, works well on a beige wall
This projector has a premium build, solid materials, and a stylish look. I really like the color of the projector’s body. It’s easy to use, connecting it to my phone is very easy, delivers clear and vibrant video—even on my beige wall—and the built-in speakers sound great. Overall, very satisfied with the quality.

Smoother picture motion, excellent user interface, and quick setup.
The Aurzen D1 Max has a sleek and modern look. The box feels solidly built. The D1 Max projector uses standard M5 screw holes, which are located under the four feet pads. There is no 1/4″ screw hole to mount to on this projector. The initial setup of the Aurzen D1 Max’s was easy and quick. The projector quickly sizes and focuses to the screen. The menus are easy to navigate and the guidance for setup is straight forward.I used a 110″ screen at a distance of 10 feet and the Aurzen D1 Max filled the screen nicely.I appreciate the Android interface as it makes adding apps for video streaming easy to setup. The D1 Max projector is bright enough to use with some day light present and picture motion is noticeably smoother on the D1 Max vs the Boom 3.The single hdmi input and usb on the D1 Max is adequate for my use with a Roku.I do notice a huge difference in the sound quality of the D1 Max vs the Boom 3. The D1 Max’s speakers are ok, but no where near as good as the Boom 3’s speakers. It was easy to pair the D1 Max via Bluetooth to my existing stereo surround system. The D1 Max remote is very easy to use and is responsive. There is a dust filter and the projector has an automatic dust cleaning function.Aurzen D1 Max wins with the Android user interface and smoother picture motion when compared to the Boom 3.I used this extension cable for the power cord: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D56RGX1D?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleI used this mount (It comes with the necessary m5 screws for the projector): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010158ZPU?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

A Big Upgrade for Our Movie & Sports Nights
Best projector at this price range. No exception. We upgraded to the Aurzen Eazze D1 Max for our weekly movie nights, and it has been fantastic. Setting it up was super straightforward with Google TV. The brightness was the first thing that stood out—we can finally keep some lights on without the picture washing out. The clarity is excellent as well. But the biggest surprise for us was the MEMC motion smoothing. We watched a basketball game, and fast plays, quick passes, and camera pans all stayed incredibly smooth with almost zero blur. It made the whole game feel more intense and lifelike, almost like watching it courtside. The audio is solid and adds to the experience, but it’s really the MEMC that takes the viewing quality to another level. For this price, the overall performance is hard to beat.

Absolutely astonishing how perfect the picture is the only down side is the fan is noisy but apart from that it’s well worth the money

This projector is very easy to set up, including Wi-Fi and remote pairing. Google TV setup through my phone was quick, and the auto-focus and auto-keystone work well. The rear speaker sounds good with no noticeable distortion. There are plenty of streaming apps available, and USB videos can be accessed through IMplayer on the apps page. Some formats aren’t supported, like xVid.Image quality is crisp with good brightness and vibrant colors, and there are several picture presets or manual controls depending on room lighting. It runs Android 14 and can be placed on a shelf, stand, or ceiling mount—just make sure the shelf is at least 10 inches deep. Venting is solid, and while the fan is audible up close, it doesn’t interfere with audio. The power brick gets warm, which is normal. It includes one USB, one HDMI, and a 3.5mm jack, plus Bluetooth support. Overall, it’s a strong value projector for indoor or outdoor use, and should perform well for the price.

Light and good smooth while viewing

The Aurzen EAZZE D1 MAX Smart Projector is well built and looks really good. It’s made from plastic but still looks and feels premium. There are large vents on either side for air flow because projectors tend to run hot. The fans on this unit are fairly loud and push a consistent 57db which is loud for an LCD projector. There is a single long screw out foot on the front to let you adjust the projection angle, but it’s not very sturdy. This projector is very large and has no options for mounting other than a shelf of some sort. The power brick for this is massive, like an old laptop power supply, but the cable is long and it uses a standard C13 style plug if you need to get a longer cable. This projector runs Google TV and the setup is very polished since it’s widely used. Most Google TV devices will let you run without adding wifi or a Google account but not so here, if you want to get to the smart TV bits you need to log in to Google; one saving grace is that you can use the HDMI port without the Google TV set up. Not only that but you are forced to add it to a Google home room, which is not a hardship as I use the Google ecosystem devices but should not be required just to set it up. Once the setup has completed it takes some time for the device to install software and finish the configuration but then you get the full Google TV experience. The software is quite responsive on this device and it has the official Play store which is the gateway to every app and generally more trustworthy than 3rd party app stores. Anyone who has used Google TV should have no issues with this device. The remote is large and easy to use, all of the buttons worked as expected and because it’s Bluetooth you do not need line of sight to operate it.In a dimly lit room this projector was nice and bright when using my projection screen. My screen is 80″ and I needed to put the projector about 9′ back to fill it. The contrast was very good for an LCD projector and the picture was nice and sharp at 1080p. I did not try any sports so I did not notice the MEMC feature at all, I suspect that only works in smart TV mode and not in HDMI mode. The auto keystone feature worked ok but I had to manually adjust it, the keystone will auto-adjust anytime the projector is moved or turned on. The speaker is really loud for an LCD projector and it should be good for a small room, it has a headphone plug that could be used to output the audio and it also supports BlueTooth (I did not test the latency). I recommend using it with a proper prjector screen, but any white flat surface should do.Overall this is a good LCD projector and it operates well but it’s large and there is no way to mount it. The price is quite a bit higher than other LCD projectors on the market which is at least in part because of the official Google TV; many of the cheaper ones run custom ROMs to lower the cost. This device also does seem to have a decently fast processor for the Google TV which helps. This would be a good unit for the camp or a temporary setup for kids but it needs to be out in the middle of the room which could be inconvenient with kids.

We got this Aurzen EAZZE D1 Max projector to use in our living room since we don’t have a TV in there. We do have some blank walls so we have lots of available spots to project to and so we wanted to try out a small and portable-ish plug-in projector. Overall we were pretty happy with this device and found that it was easy to use.The positives for this device are that it is medium sized and has a really solid user-interface. It was easy to connect to an external bluetooth speaker which made our sound quality as good as our speaker. It streamed things easily and well when on our wi-fi and we tested it with Disney+, Prime Video, and Netflix all without any issues. The keystone settings work well and you can use them to manually or automatically adjust the image helping you to project near or around obstacles or on uneven surfaces. Overall the image quality was good and there was a nice sharpness and adjustability to allow for a nice image. While there were many positives, there were also a few downsides to this projector. The first was the size in that it was not so small that it tucks away and that it also was a bit too big for a small projector stand. We also found there were minor focus issues between bottom and top of screen if projected on an angle. The biggest challenge we had with this projector was that to use it well, you really have to have a dark room. Because we are using it in a main living space, we found that only time it worked well was at night when it was really dark which is a huge limitation for a device of this price.Overall, while this was a solid product it was quite expensive at time of review for only being able to be used in a dark space. We’re happy to have it for occasional use but with a few improvements to brightness adjustability and portability it would’ve matched the price point.
