UPDATED: Good Earbuds for price
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am updating this review that I had initially submitted. Approximately 8 months after I bought these (Sep. 2023), the right earbud stopped working all the sudden. I could jiggle and hold the volume control and the sound would come back, but that was not an option. Therefore, I contacted Avantree Support and let them know what happened. They responded by email within 24 hours (other responses for the Support Incident were even quicker than that), and indicated they would send me a new set at no charge as they were still under warranty and provided clear instructions on how to order the new ones. The new ones arrived yesterday, 05/28/24 and they work like a charm.I am still very satisfied with the earbuds, and the professional customer service provided by Avantree. I still feel these are a very good value for the price, given the way they handled replacing the original defective set.ORIGINAL: I have had these Avantree E171 – Sports Earbuds Wired with Microphone for about 3 weeks now and I mainly use these on the treadmill when I run. I have found these to be more than adequate for that purpose. I previously bought Koss $6 headphones for the same purpose but I found those didn’t last long enough before one of the earpieces would just go dead.With the Avantree, I can see that for the price, they are a little better made and the wiring is a little stronger. They don’t seem flimsy at all, and the earbuds themselves and the portion that fits on your ears seem to be sturdy. They fit on my ears nicely enough with the loops and they do not bother me with or without glasses. They come with the middle size eartips attached, but I did find that when I run on the treadmill, they seemed to jump around a little, so I put on the larger ones. (The earbuds come with 3 sizes of eartips).The eartips are a little hard to get off and get the new ones on but you just need to grab the main part of the earbud and grab the base of the eartip and twist and pull a little to take it off, then work the new one on to the stem by working the opening of the eartip on the stem and pushing down and twisting a little. I have dexterity issues with my hands and I still got them on and off in about a minute.As far as the sound, these are not bass heavy at all, but that is fine (especially for the price) as the music I listen to doesn’t have much bass (such as with rap and some rock), but I found there is enough bass where needed, and they provide a nice rich, melodic sound without being “tinny” at all.In addition, although they do not have built-in noise cancelling functionality, I find that with the larger eartips when I am on the treadmill in our community fitness room, I do not hear the lady that babbles on loudly and continuously :). Thank You Avantree!I have not tried these with a cell phone, so I can’t speak to using with that. But, I have tried these on an iPod shuffle, an iPod touch and an iPad. The product listing here under “Before You Buy, Please Note That…” notes:”The built-in volume control does not work on PC, laptop, or iOS MP3 players, and the volume up button does not work on the Pixel 3A and Galaxy A9, S10, and Note 9 (it’ll activate Google Assistant instead).”I will verify the in-cord volume control and the pause button does not work on the iPod shuffle, but I found they DO work on the iPod Touch and my iPad. Good for running
Decent sound and comfortable design. I use these for running and couldn’t ask for more, cable is long enough, clip prevents it from being yanked on. To this day they never fell out.

I needed a set of headphones because of a neighbor who constantly complained about my TV sound {I use a sound bar with deep bass}. After reviewing all the head buds, I decided on these.PROS: They arrived early, nice package, and I was all set. The sound quality is good, the bass is meh..but I love the easy over the ear use of these earbuds. Sit nicely on the ear and the bud is not too tight in the ear. Right ear bud has white label attached, so no fussing which is which, wires do not tangle easily.CONS:After three weeks of solid enjoyment of these earbuds, the right earbud DIED. I immediately ordered a second set and once again they arrived early and I was all set..But after several weeks the right earbud DIED! I decided to give Avantree one more chance and ordered my THIRD set of earbuds and guess what? After several weeks the right earbud fails again.Well as much as I enjoyed this product, I can no longer AFFORD them. SO BUYER BEWARE..if you want earbuds that are great sounding and last for more than a few weeks..do not purchase this product.Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.

Very nice earphones for my phone
I listen to podcasts and YouTube on my exercise walks, and this unit fits the bill. I use a 3.5mm-to-USB-C adapter, and the sound is bright and clear from my Pixel 6a phone. The earpieces have grommets that fit tightly (the old unit had grommets which constantly fell out), and the overall fit to my ears is great. The 3.5mm plug also fits my old Sony Walkman radio which I use from time to time. I would definitely buy this again.

These are so great. 10/10 recommend- they’re not overly complicated, the connectivity is what I needed, very comfortable, they stay in place, the sound is great, the design is sleek, they don’t stick out all weird, I can wear them with headbands… overall great value for the price!

Durable and great quality
Fita perfect around my ear and seals and stays in place. Mic is awesome l, sounds smooth, and the clip is convenient. I work in a kitchen and go through these types like water and these are DURABLE, no breakage or crackling months in. Best ones I’ve owned!

I have struggled to find ear phones that don’t fall out my small ears. I wanted plug in because I always forget to charge Bluetooth ones. These are comfortable and don’t fall out. The sound quality is good and the price is very reasonable.

Einfach cool. Preisleistung stimmt perfekt. Die Soundqualität hat mich echt sehr überrascht, richtig gut für den Preis. Ich habe sie mir gekauft, um beim Laufen Hörbücher hören zu können, und das gelingt einwandfrei. Da rutscht nichts raus. Mit einer Armhalterung kann ich einfach mein Handy festschnallen und bin somit ganz flexibel. Toll!
