Affordability vs. Deserve-ability
Tested H95s and returned since they don’t compare (ambience & depth) to the Master & Dynamic earphones I have been using for the past few years. I then came across H100 (didn’t know it existed). Purchased it with the feeling that it may likely be returned due to same reasons as H95s (perhaps due to my inherent bias with earphones).H100s surprised me from the first minute of listening. These are fantastic headphones – not by degrees but by a generation (paradigm shift) compared to the H95s. No wonder it’s priced almost double!I remember a statement by the manager of a Bentley car dealership as I was finishing the paperwork (some years ago). He said when you buy vehicles like Bentley, question is not about whether it’s worth the premium, rather it’s whether you deserve it. As much as it sounds like a good marketing strategy, something reminded me about that statement when it came to purchasing these headphones.My verdict – If you can “comfortably” afford it (akin to a tree falling in the woods), this is the absolute best sounding headphones I have owned!

Ridiculously overpriced but worth every penny
For people who are not sound engineers but not mer mortals either with good sense of sound and music, this are just the best headphones made right now. I ve got other popular high end brands, BO.., BOW, Dj brands also but this headphones are exquisite to your whole senses. Its amazing, and I won’t refer to the design because they look as poor people can be seen next to you, extremely poorest if wearing them by their side, they are Just… perfect

This is my first set of very high-end headphones and I am thrilled with the look and feel, they are definitely made of the best materials and having modular components is a huge plus. Removeable ear pads and headband (they attach with strong magnets) means that they can easily be serviced which is great because these are definitely not the kind of thing you will just throw away if they stop working. They come with a 3-year standard warranty and it is upgradable to a 5-year warranty by signing up through their app.I love the auto-on feature which turns them on as soon as I put them on my head. The button placement is natural and the tactile sensation of turning the volume and noise cancelling dials is very satisfying (and they work great). Everything about these headphones is quality……except the sound and some of the functionality. The sound is very, very good, but is it a thousand dollars better than other moderately expensive headphones (in the 2-3 hundred dollar range)? Probably not and only because of a few things that BandO can probably fix with a firmware and app update. First is something that I’ve seen others mention regarding these headphones and that is the lack of a true graphic equalizer in the app. Having that would likely go a long way to fixing the problems with the highs in these headphones. They are crisp, but not SUPER crisp, which is something you would expect considering the quality of the bass. That is about the best I’ve ever heard (vibrations so low as to make one weep).The other critique I have is the touch controls. Unlike some other reviewers, I love the function where I can put my whole hand over one of the glass covers and the audio stops and lets in the outside sounds (as if I turned on transparency mode). However, I used it the other day to pause my music and listen to a news story on my TV, but when I let go of the ear cover, the transparency mode stayed on and my source audio did not resume as it normally would. When I covered the other ear pad and then let it go, my audio source resumed, but then I lost the ability to control music with the touch function on the right side. After cycling them off and on, the functionality returned, but it was frustrating to have to do that (at this price point, everything should just work).I am also having difficulty with the microphone(s). I connected these to my desktop computer by bluetooth so I could use them during Zoom and Teams calls, but when I try to use the microphone in the headset, the people on my calls tell me that they’re having trouble hearing me. I’m unsure how this could be. When I switch to the webcam mic, they can hear me just fine, but if this headset were my only microphone, I would probably have to use an alternate pair. The same has happened while taking calls on my phone. The caller will tell me that they can’t hear me very well even though I am in a quiet environment, so in several instances, I have ended up just using the phone mic and taking the headphones off (which I very much dislike doing).Overall, these are very good headphones and for the most part I love them better than any other pair I own. They are comfortable to wear for hours and have great battery life. They adjust to fit my head exactly and the memory foam pads are soft, but provide a good seal around my ears. The headband is just as comfortable. But I hope BandO takes the time to address the concerns that I and others have about the sound quality. The other issues I have had could be minor glitches that will sort themselves out over time.

Unbelievable
I originally bought these because I thought the H-95 didn’t have enough power and volume. I must say that not only do the H-100 have more power, but the sound quality for a wireless pair of headphones is unbelievable. I don’t have the words to describe properly or to give these headphones justice. But the clarity, separation of instruments, the bass must be heard to understand and appreciate. I know they are heinously expensive but if you have the money and are an audiophile you need to check them out. I told myself well if they don’t perform up to the price tag I’ll send them back. I put on LED Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven and within 30 seconds I had decided to keep them.The materials are of course top notch. They are very comfortable and the ANC is very much improved over the H-95’s. They are still not as good as Sony, Bose, or Apple’s headphones for ANC, but they are very close. The microphones are good and phone calls are great and sound natural. They have 30-40 hours of playtime and the coolest thing is the auto shutoff and turn on is simply taking them off or putting them on. It’s a really cool feature and better than any other headphones I have owned. But above everything else is the sound quality. Nothing and I mean nothing even comes close to them in this department.

Price doesn’t justify the performance.
Lack of bass compared to the H95. Better build material but the headband was makes creaking noise when walking around. Touch control is an improvement. The Dolby Atmos function seems to be useless, it reduces sound quality. I leave it off all the time. For the price you could have brought focal Bathys, H95 used, and possibly px8 used or a full hifi system with focal Celestee and ifi zen signature DAC/Amp.

数時間前に届いたばかりで聴き込めているとは言い難いものの、傾向とひとまず書けるだけの所感を少し。現時点での競合であるPx8と比較しスペックや音質傾向をざっくりとレビューします。・カタログスペックPx8と比べると、主にドライバーやノイズキャンセリング用のマイクに大きな違いが見られる。どちらもサイズは定番の40mmだが、Px8ではダイナミックフルレンジカーボンドライバーを、H100はエレクトロダイナミックチタンドライバーを採用しているPx8は4つのマイクを組み込んでいる(内訳不明だが、おそらくForward/Feedbackそれぞれに2つずつ配置しているのだろう)。カタログスペックを見ると通話用のマイクは2つとのことなので、合計6つのマイクを搭載していることがわかる。H100では大きくマイクを増やしており、ノイズキャンセリング用に4つ、外音取り込み用に2つ、通話用に4つ、合計10つのマイクを搭載している。通話用のマイクが2倍に、(読みが当たっていれば)ノイズキャンセリング用のマイクも2倍になっており、かなりの強化が期待できるはず。連続使用時のバッテリー持続時間も僅かに伸びており、ANC使用時でPx8が30時間、H100が32時間とある。といっても自動でバッテリーをオフにしてくれる機能を両モデルは持っているため、主に音質に注目していきたい。・音質についてレコーディング方法や音作りの傾向が比較的離れている曲をいくつか選び比較をしてみる。比較対象としてはPx8、解像度の比較用にRhapsodio Infinityを利用している。(InfinityはSP3000に有線接続の上比較した)先に書いておくと…H100は明らかに「立体感を解釈し完成させている」というところが最大の特徴だと感じている。「CLAN QUEEN – サーチライト」音が多く、音域や音そのものを独立し細かく鳴らせるかどうか（ここでは、これを解像度と呼ぶ）で違いが出やすく、そして普段から聴いているため差異に気付けるので選曲した。解像度については申し分なく、楽器の音もはっきりと区別することができる。どの音も全面に押し出すような鳴らし方をしているが、それでいて定位感も良く、ボーカルが中心に&他の音に埋もれずとてもよく伸びている。全ての音を全面に&力強く押し出す という点ではInfinityやPx8と同じなのだが、音像定位と音場感が極めて良く表現されており、量的な違い以上に質の違いがある。冒頭で立体感と書いた理由がここにあり、奥行きといったようなものを感じることができた。（音が消える際も、そのまま消音するのではなく奥に、遠くに離れていくような感覚）こういった立体感は、どちらかというとレコーディングの仕方に影響されるのだが、再生側の実力も侮れないと再実感した。そして、この流れでH100が得意な曲を聴いてみると…。「ヨルシカ – ルバート」H100について振り返ると、公式ではBeoplay H100 – Dolby Atmosに最適化されたヘッドフォンとして売り出している。この後半がB&Oによる答え・コンセプトだと解釈することができる。Dolby Atmosに最適化をするには、音響エンジニアなどがバランスの取れた音質と自然な音場、周波数特性、音響構造などを調整する必要がある。それに加え、DSPの処理性能も重要になる。書いた後に調べて気が付いたのだが、H100ではこのDSP制御効率を上げる為に2バッテリー構成を採用している。結果としてDolby Atmos非対応の楽曲であってもその恩恵を多大に受けていることがよくわかる。であれば、Dolby Atmos対応の…それもレコーディング方法にこだわりのある曲はどうだろうか。ルバートを聴くとわかりやすいのだが、「ボーカルがとても近い距離に居る」傾向から真逆に外れているという特徴がある。楽器が左右に、(音量が小さいわけではなく)距離感を感じるボーカル。サビに入ると、テンポ・ルバートに相応しく、ボーカルの側、正面に楽器が流れ込むように登場するこれらを楽しむ為には、レコーディングにおいて重視された音響に応える必要がある。まさにH100の得意とする舞台だ。InfinityやPx8で聴いた時も、レコーディングの恩恵から立体感や空間を楽しむことができたのだが、H100の後に聞き返すとやはり解像度のみで強引に鳴らしているチグハグさを感じる。個人的な経験則だが、立体感を重視すると解像度が下がってしまう傾向がある(それだけ音響設計のは難しい、ということなのだろう)。今回のH100についても同様の懸念があったのだが、聞き始めて見事に払拭された。楽器の音の入りからピーク、その後の抜け感が明らかだった。何よりもボーカルを重視するのだが、こちらも極めて高い解像度と立体感を両立しており、尚且つ曲全体を破綻なく鳴らせている。書ききれないほど感想はあるのだが、是非機会があれば聴いてみてほしい。オーディオファンの一人としてDolby Atmosは眉唾物のような認識をしていたが、H100での音楽体験と向き合い、むしろこれからの進化・最適化の方向性なのではないかと確信した。素晴らしい製品に感謝したい。

初めてこの製品を見た時はワイヤレスに23万、B&Oのイメージがビジュアルを意識した音より見た目のブランドオーディオメーカーだと思っていて、完全ノーマークで購入すら考えてなかったです。1回だけ試聴もしてみたのですがメーカーに対する先入観故に印象に残らず終わりました。ただ今回、AirPods Max以外のドルビーアトモス対応のワイヤレスヘッドホンが欲しいなと思いふとこの製品を思い出しました。使用しているアプリはApple Musicです。Apple musicの空間オーディオといったらAirPods MaxなどのApple製品を思いつくかもしれませんが、自分は以前にAirPods Maxを使用していたことがあり、それを使った時も空間表現などに満足していたのですが、アップル製品以外の相性が悪いのと、ハイレゾ再生に対応していないなどの明確な欠点も存在していました。改めてスペックや音の傾向などを雑誌やサイト、Xなどで調べました。だんだん調べていくうちにH100の基本スペックがAirPods Maxの弱点を全て補うかのような感じで揃っていて、「めっちゃいいじゃん！」となり購入の決め手となりました。注文して届いた直後に使用してみた最初の感想は、「これが23万のヘッドホン？」と思ってしまいました。。（まじごめんw）が、それも最初の一回の再生のみ。何回か再生していくうち、以前使っていた空間オーディオ特化のAirPods Max、音質特化の同じハイエンドワイヤレスヘッドホンのPx8やFOCALのヘッドホンなどを遥かに凌駕する空間表現（ドルビーアトモス再生能力）、音のクリア差、キレの良さ、鳴り出しの音のパワー（独特な表現で住みません…笑）どれを見ても完璧なヘッドホンだと確信しました。H100は自分の欲しい機能や好きな音を全て詰め込んだ夢のようなヘッドホンです。自分の第二次ヘッドホン沼からようやく脱出したようです。これ以外のヘッドホンはいらなくなりました笑B＆Oに対するブランドイメージも180度変わりました。こんなにも音質のいい製品を作っているとは思っていませんでした。。ぜひカーオーディオにもあったら車もそのスピーカーにしてあげたいですね笑個人的には価格相応の価値があると自信を持って思います。ワイヤレスヘッドホンやヘッドホン選びで沼っている人はおすすめです！まさに至極、ワイヤレスヘッドホンの最高到達点です。

左側だけ常にノイズが聴こえる、恐らく初期不良に当たりました。音楽を聴いていてもノイズが聴こえ酷いありさま。とても期待していたのに第一印象が最悪な物になってしまい残念です。良い値段がするのに製品管理が出来ていないのには驚きだ。これからb&oに苦情を入れるが対応はどうなのか、、、まともだと良いのだが。
