Simply Put: Excellent
Well, it’s widely recognized that QC45 is very good. This has been my first time to try/test it. So far (first week) it even exceeds my expectations. Base is outstanding, treble is clear (yes, all bells and whistles are there), mid range is dominant. Not too light, not too heavy, kinda’ pleasant to wear. Support is great. Let me just note very quietly that noise cancelling could be a bit better. (Actually, not too bad but not good, either.) Overall impression: highly recommended. Fast Amazon shipping. Thanks.UPDATE: I had to return it due to two minor problems. I’m already in the process of buying a brand new one. QC45 is great. But that’s not the point here. The point is: Amazon’s return/refund procedure is flawless, exemplary. Couldn’t be better, faster, easier, more efficient. Thanks.

Bose over Beats
I purchased these after being underwhelmed by Beats Studio Pros, which were uncomfortable and had average sound when connected to my Como Audio Bluetooth record player. Happy to say that the Bose headphones were an incredible upgrade over beats! Extremely comfortable, easy to use controls, paired to Bluetooth quickly and sound amazing!

Defective Refurbished Junk
Where do I start.. On opening the Amazon shipping box the first thing I spotted was a poorly wrapped headphones with improper packing. The Red Flag went up right away. Then removing the phones and opening their travel case more bad news.Missing was any type of owners booklet or manual. Without the bar code to photograph how do I get any basic information on the phones? Another Red Flag went up. The next thing I noticed was the charging cable was white, clearly not a Bose accessory. Third Red Flag flying in the breeze.Not wanting to waist my time here charging the battery I plugged in the 3.5 mm audio cable to test the unit which I knew would be defective. Bingo – the audio was indeed defective.I quickly boxed everything up and made my way to the Whole Foods return counter in my neighborhood. Off and away back to the big A.Bottom Line: Don’t buy refurbished at Amazon it’s a real crap shoot. They obviously recycle defective junk.

Comfortable and Great Sound
Just used these on a 10 hour plane ride. The noise cancelling was tremendously helpful, I aint be hearing nothing. The music sounds very different compared to my other earphones. The sound quality needs to be experienced, it cant be explained.

Second best headphones I’ve owned
The headphones are comfortable, sound good, last all day, and have good noise cancelling. They are sturdy and reliable. I use them for my daily work and all of my frequent airtravel.The technical aspects are all just *slightly* better on the Sony WH-1000XM5. I wish Bose had fully closed that gap. That’s why I’m only giving it 4 out of 5 stars.However, the Sony headphones break very easily, and Sony will not repair any “physical” defects. The Sony’s broke within two months of getting them, doing nothing more strenuous than *putting them on*. These Bose headphones on the other hand have not broken, despite all-day every-day use and frequently being packed up and used in travel.The Bose headphones are not the BEST in terms of technology, but they are very very good, and they’re quite sturdy and reliable.

After trying a couple of other brands of headphones and returning them both I bit the bullet, upped the budget and opted for these. Refurbished they may be, but they were like new and flawless.The sound, as I’ve come to expect from Bose, is excellent. They fit over my large ears completely and are very comfortable.There is also an external headphone port for listening the old-fashioned way and here is my only beef with the unit – the jack is 2.5mm instead of 3.5mm, which limits the options for replacement. Bose does sell them and they are not expensive, so this is a minor complaintThere are some controls on the earpieces. They are logically laid out, easy to find by feel alone, and work well. I can’t speak for battery life because I have not have them long enough, but overall I am delighted with this purchase.
