I’m very happy with this purchase thus far, and it’s 1/3 the cost of my second choice.
This printer arrived right on schedule. Setup was easy, the downloads were easy, it synched immediately and wirelessly with Starlink, printed out excellent test sheets and now stands ready for use at 1/3 the cost or the one I bought that had similar capabilities but didn’t work at all, so I had to return it. This one has huge ink cartridges that are very quick and easy to use (no bottles of ink!), holds a hefty amount of paper which is very easy to load, color quality appears to be excellent, which is important to me as an artist, and durability is yet to be determined, since I got it set up only yesterday. Knock on wood, but I think I’m really going to love it.

Blows away Canon printers on speed, quality of print, setup apps and software is top notch.
The speed of this printer is unreal. It prints on both sides of one page printing in less time than most other printers take to print for one side one page only. Also print time is quick when you hit the print button, it prints right away.I noticed my Canon would take a minute to print, to even start printing and got slower and slower over time. The real difference of this Brother printer from other printers is night and day. Its like going from a Yugo car to a Lamborghini race car.The quality of the software bundled with this printer is excellent, it even resizes email pages for you and properly makes page fonts bigger zoomed in, the software resizes everything to fit in the printable area. With Canon this was not available. Also Canon ink tank system failed on color, only black would print. No matter how much cleaning. Canon printer failed in one year time. Brand new Canon never worked right. We’ll see how long this printer lasts, but it already sounds much stronger and faster in scanning, printing and setup time to connect to WIFI. Doesnt have the issues during operation. It works smoothly, and Not slow at all.Warning your WIFI router may need to be rebooted in order to recognize this printer on your wireless network setup on app, for your WIFI. Any computer, phone and tablet can print out stuff if you have the Brother app.I could never get the Canon WIFI network printer to work. And I have been a computer programmer for decades. Brother was a little tuff to setup on WIFI only because my router needed resetting to recognize the new Brother printer. But once you set this up it works flawlessly. Unlike other printers.

Terrible. Multiple Problems. Lasted 16 months
Purchased this after my prior inkjet (made by a different company) lasted me over 10 years.Things were promising at first and it seemed like a great printer. Great features, speed, print quality. Then…The top paper tray sensor stopped working so the printer didn’t know when it was empty and would make a LOUD grinding sound trying to pull from it. Next, the printer head started to go out of alignment. Many attempts to fix with the utility did not get it fully back to normal. So, my text had jaggedness and pictures had problems and I had to print on the “Best” setting to have things look halfway decent. Then, the black print head started to clog. MANY attempts at running the cleaning cycles did not work. After it was almost completely clogged, I even tried running a special head cleaning fluid through the black tank connection, and even that didn’t work. I am handy so I decided to look into the feasibility of removing and cleaning the head. However, it is *buried* deep in the printer and requires unplugging circuit board connectors and many steps, hard pass!!I purchased an extended warranty on the machine, so I finally gave up and sent it in. They said it was not repairable and mailed me a refund. I think that speaks volumes. I have seen other glowing reviews about this printer and other poor reviews like this one mentioning the print head. So apparently it is a roll of the dice. If you decide to take the risk, buy the insurance!!

ADF is a step up for this price range
Note: This review is mainly addressing users who need reliable ADF scanning.FIRST IMPRESSION AFTER 2 DAYS OF USEBackground:I originally owned an older Canon Pixma MX870 and was overall pleased with its different functions, but especially appreciated its ADF since I do a lot of document scanning, yet could not justify a dedicated document scanner. It had its share of paper jams and mishaps, but nothing too bad for that price range. I had to retire the MX870 because it was no longer being supported and the feeder was getting old and had trouble gripping paper…but I was able to get many years of use out of it.The first printer that I tried was the HP 9018e. This printer was the most “svelt”, with slick design and really easy setup. ADF performance was mediocre and experienced unusually high paper mishaps (jams, grabbing more than 1 sheet, and slower than the MX870). A printer specialist recommended that I try Canon mainly because of the ink refill setup. The second printer was the Canon TR8620a was the supposed successor to the older Pixma in its class. I am under the impression that the Canon had the best print quality for making photos, but photo quality was not my top criteria as document scanning. The scanning speed was much slower than the older MX870 and I did experience numerous issues when scanning in color such as paper jams, grabbing more than one sheet at a time, paper misaligning as it feeds, grabbing a second sheet before the earlier sheet finishes its scan, and reporting a paper jam when there was no paper in the feeder. These problems seemed to diminish when scanning in black and white. The first impression of Brother MFC-J4335DW:Overall, this printer has the best ADF of the three tried. When I loaded some documents for scanning, I immediately felt like the ADF grabbed the paper with more confidence…almost as if the feeder mechanism was stronger. The color scanning speed seemed similar to the older Pixma, and even faster when scanning in black and white. No misalignment or paper jams in 2 days of testing so far. Also, I read a review that some users thought Brother’s software and user interface is confusing, but I did not experience any of that with this model. There is no touch-screen like the HP or Canon, but this was not a big deal for me and I felt the interface was intuitive and easy for me to use. The printed documentation did not mention the password to allow for things like firmware update, but I was able to google it and find the solution. (The password is on the back of the printer…and it is recommended that you change the password if it is connected to your main network to block a potential hack point.)Ink economy is yet to be determined, but I do appreciate that the ink tanks do not drain everytime the printer is turned on (like some other printers as they clean their nozzles)…this gives me a level of confidence to turn off the printer if it is not getting a lot of use.1/31/2023 update:About a week in after regular use of the ADF. I am concluding that this is one of the best ADFs out of all the printers in the sub-$200 all-in-one class. Almost no paper jams, misfeeds, or misalignments. The speed is the best I have seen, especially at 300dpi black and white scanning. One minor disappointment may be in how the scanned paper stacks up on top of the paper that is loading in: for the most part, if you are not exceeding the page limit in the load, it is fine assuming you remember to flip the paper catcher latch up. But for legal-sized paper, the paper catcher will not catch and you might deal with scanned paper spilling over the edge. When trying to grab scanned paper, there is the potential for the user to mistakingly grab the paper that has yet to be scanned. It is hard to describe in writing, but the mechanical sound of the Brother ADF seems more “professional” than the HPs and Canons in this class…but this is something you would have to hear for yourself.

Excellent printer and copier. Does everything you need it to, with efficiency and accuracy. Connected to Wifi quickly and with ease (unlike a previous printer of another brand which presented numerous Wifi connection issues). Great clarity of printed documents, simple ink installation, and great screen display. Very happy with this printer!!

Awesome! This is by far the nicest printer out of the box ever! The quality is way better than any of the Canon printers …and I have owned quite a few and will never go back! The setup was simple, it connected to my wifi network like a breeze(once I remembered my password…lol). Both computers in our home connected in a flash. Good warranty. Only printed a couple of documents to try it out, and it is crazy fast…… couldn’t be happier at this point.

Nice printer, but I was unable to set it up. It is a wifi setup. I needed a bluetooth connection. My mistake.
