Simple standard printer. Haven’t needed to try the warranty.
Basic B&W laser printer. The warranty is a selling point, though I haven’t had a need to exercise it. This is for the “35ppm” model with the pull out tray, there is also a different “30ppm” model.

This printer is somewhat complicated to install and configure, I tried all the ways that appeared in the manual to install the driver, except with the CD because my laptop does not have this unit, it took me almost all day, it is somewhat frustrating because most of the latest generation printers are plug and play. It is definitely not wireless you have to use it with a cable. The screen is terrible, you can’t see it, it doesn’t light up. When printing it is fast and prints well.

Value printer
It’s a decent printer if you want a very basic and good-value setup. It does not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive models. Setup was tricky for me; I initially could not get it to pair with the WiFi. After some time, it just started connecting. The printer does not come with a USB cable.I am using MacOS, so as soon as the printer was connected to the WiFi, I was able to print on my laptop. It is capable of printing up to 35 pages a minute, but I don’t ever print that much. I tested it on some documents, and the print was clean. No issues with misprints or faded areas. Keep in mind that this is a Black and White printer only. I would say this is a decent printer if this is all that you need. This printer is for the occasional user who does not need Fax or Scan.

Perfect for a dorm room or bedroom – relatively compact size!
Pleasantly surprised with how compact this printer is. My son had no issues setting it up and had no kinks to work through during that process either. It’s a good size for having in a bedroom or dorm room. Only time will tell the longevity of the printer, but so far it’s great and we have no warnings to issue.

Very nice printer, but ridiculous setup
The printer is a solid built basic Canon printer. Basically, no frills – if you just need a printer, this is for you. The setup, however, was ridiculous! It starts by displaying a barcode on its screen. I thought that was very cool until I realized it was almost impossible to get my phone to read it, and when it did read it, I was sent to a website recommending an installation method based on your OS. Total waste of time. The next part was an “automatic setup”, which kept failing. I finally bypassed all of the fluff and requested manual setup – piece of cake! I was up and running in seconds after I realized their automation was moronic! If you do need a basic, solid printer with no frills, this is perfect as long as you take heed and bypass Canon’s “help” in setting it up – just choose manual and you’ll be fine!

Keep disconnecting from wifi
Print quality and speed every thing is perfect. Printer is nice but It disconnects from the wifi very often. Every time it is a hassle to connect it before sending print from my mobile devices.
