Easy to Use, Good quality Portable Photo Printer
I was really pleasantly surprised with this portable photo printer.Pro: Practically plug and play. Setup is easy and connected to my iPhone on the first try. If you plan to print directly from your iPhone, download the SELPHY app for easy photo layout. The app is also very easy to use and makes layouts for photos easy to setup. Easy to upload photos from phone to app and to print. Prints individual photos very quickly as well. Since this is not an inkjet, you can touch the output immediately without smearing the front. Option for glossy, semi matte or matte photo finishes. There is a decent selection of cute graphics and stamps to add to your photo outputs.Con: The photo output tends to have an overexposed, washed out look for daytime photos. Nighttime or darker background photos tend to look more vibrant. The printer itself is small but surprisingly heavy (solidly built).Frankly, for the price. I’m super happy with the product. If you’re looking for pro quality prints or something to display at home, still print on laserjet or inkjet printer or send it out to be printed professionally.But for a quick print and casual use. This is perfect! Love it.

I’ve used it for both events and family gatheringsThe print quality is impressive, the colors are vibrant and the details are sharp, easily on par with what you’d get from a professional service. The all-in-one ink and paper cartridges are also a brilliant design, making refills clean and simple.A crucial detail to be aware of is that this is a dye-sublimation printer, which means you must use Canon’s combined ink and paper packages, standard supplies will not work. This technology creates the photo in multiple passes, laying down each color individually. This is the same process used for professional photo printing and is the secret to its “lab-quality” results, which is why the ink and paper are always sold together as a matched set.To get a perfect print, you have to bring up (brighten) the shadows in your photo editing app before sending it to the printer. A very capable little photo printer
This is a surprisingly capable little printer that scratches that instant-photo itch while keeping things modern and connected. From a communications tech standpoint, I really appreciate how smooth the wireless setup is on the Canon Selphy CP1500 … it connects easily via Wi-Fi or the app, and the interface feels a lot less clunky than some older Selphy models. Print quality is solid for its size: colors are vibrant, details are sharp enough, and the dye-sub process gives photos a nice, durable finish that resists smudges and water. It’s not going to replace a pro photo printer, but for quick 4×6 prints straight from your phone or camera, it’s awesome. The only downside is the consumable cost (the ink/paper packs aren’t cheap) but the convenience and quality make it worth it if you love having tangible prints in seconds

Great printer, but limited manufacturer support.
An impressive portable photo printer. I use mine mainly to print sticker photos for my journal, and it does an excellent job. Color representation is pretty accurate, if occasionally a tad dark. The print quality is exceptional for the price point.My sole gripe is that Canon does not support it very well. The label size best suited for my use is somewhat difficult to reliably find and, when I do, the Selphy software doesn’t actually have the label size included as a standard option. I end up having to max out the custom label dimensions, which leaves a white border around my final prints.

Amazing small form factor printer. I bought two batteries for it as well, so super portable solution. Picture quality is really really good for the little machine. I especially love that I you can pick Gloss, matte or semi matte. Easy to use and setup. I did a lot of research before ordering this printer and I was not disappointed.

I’ve been really happy with this compact photo printer. I was using an Instax printer for years prior but was wanting something that printed photos that were a bit bigger. I thought about getting the larger format instax printer but honestly the price of the instax prints and lack of updated ports (use of micro USB) made this very off putting for me. I ended up picking up the Canon Selphy and I’m so happy I did! While it’s definitely not as compact as the instax set ups, it’s still something you can pack away for a trip if you want it with you, particularly if you’re going over seas and have a check in luggage. I used this to make prints for relatives while I was in Asia and it was a big hit. The photos out of this are quite excellent when you consider how quick the print. Within a 30 seconds or so you have a high quality 4×6 print in your hand.The price per print is not bad at all when you buy in bulk. It really makes a big difference taking your photos from a phone screen to printed on a physical medium. Honestly something every photographer should have. 100% would recommend!

Super convenient and excellent at home printer. I love that this printer is small and easy to use from home. It works extremely well with the app and connects fast with wifi. The app is user friendly and allows you to customize how you want to print your pictures. I wish I invested in this sooner instead of going to the store and printing a whole bunch of poor quality pictures. Great to have when you have small kids and want the convenience of printing all their pictures at home instead odlf having to run out with them to get the pictures printed at the store.
