    So far, working great
We have just moved into the house, and wanted to update the lights in the kitchen and family room. We ordered 18 lights, to put in our family room and kitchen. Since we move furniture around and the lights cannot be aimed, we decided to put 12 in the family room, and 4 in the kitchen (in addition to the two drop down lights over the island), and one in the garage (really done, because we had two additional lights, and a wall switch to the garage that was not being used. And the lights are working great. We have not used all of the functions (played with them a little, but they are being used as basicaly lights). We have the 12 lights connected to one wall switch, the four kitchen lights connected to another wall switch, and the garage on its own wall switch. When we turn on all of the lights, it is BRIGHT.For the majority of the time, we have very few lights turned on in the family room, and we do use the light switch to turn them on and off. What is nice is that you can set each individual light for its “Power-on Behavior”, which allows you to have the light come on to a default setting, the last setting, or a custom setting. We opted for the custom setting, in the kitchen we have two lights come on 50% and two remain off. For the family room, we have four come on at 25% and the remainder remain off (the remainder we use for reading, or something that requires additional light). We did play around a little with the colors, which are vibrant and clear and there is an option to sync them to music that we played a little with as well, and seems to work pretty smoothly. The app is easy to use, the devices easily connected to the network, and have yet to lose connectivity, even with the actual removing of all power each day, it also controls our electric fireplace, which was nice added touch. When I dig my Alexa out, I will get that configured and Home System configured, and will update the review. One thing to add – I did have to turn off my 5GHz temporarily to get the devices to connect, but that may be more of an issue since I was configuring 12 at the same time, but I have not had an issue with connectivity after the intial connection.

    Looking to DIY? Read this.
this was the first time I installed recessed lights or lights at all. Couple hours on YouTube and talking to my architect father-in-law help me be able to install this (6) In about five hours. The first thing you’re gonna want to do is measure out your ceiling to find where you’re going to make the holes. What I did was drill a small hole In the center of where I wanted to put the light. I put something through the hole into my attic to be able to determine if there were any wood blocks or support beams in the area where I wanted to install The lights. I would then enter my attic find my indicator make sure that there was enough space to cut the hole and move the insulation out-of-the-way. Luckily, I only hit a Support beam once (no big deal). After I would confirm, I had enough space for the holes. I then cut the holes with a “dry wall jab saw” (An alternative is a Drillbit that matches the size of the holes, But the jab saw was cheaper And I was able to use it for other things too. Just an FYI, cutting through the drywall can be a little difficult and tiring)Once I cut out the holes, I then went back into the attic with my wire. —> “2 X 14” <— and I laid out the wire to Their respective holes. Basically, my wire layout is like a snake, connecting all of the recessed lights. After I placed my wire, I went back Down and from the bottom, I connected the wires as shown on the instructions to the little plastic wire things. ( I did not mess with the previous lighting wires yet I left them alone and focused on the non-live wires I was placing. Save the hot connecting to a power source as your last wiring step). It was actually quite easy, but you do need wire strippers, or something that will strip the wire and cut the wires.Once I connected the wires into the respective boxes (The lights come with metal boxes, where you connect the wires and store them inside those boxes.) Hi, then would connect the lights and put them up one by one leaving the light that I was going to use as the main power source for the end. Once the lights were up And I moved onto my last light.I turned off the power for the light switch. I was going to connect it to. The , I went back to the attic And disconnected the old lighting, and I connected their wires to the recessed lights. Then I turn on the breakers and saw that the lights were flashing!Well, except one, But Amazon’s gonna replace that one. I would have been worried if that light was in the end or what I mean if it were the last light connected to the wiring, but it was in the middle so it was went and is a faulty product. And there’s no big deal like I said Amazon is sending me a new one and replacing that one. After the wiring and the set up physical set up is done the app set up is very easy. Am I even sent it up to Alexa.Very happy with the results. I hope this can help you.

These are the ones you are looking for
I studied carefully at all the options before pulling the trigger on these lights. My big questions when buying LED is are they bright enough and is the white option correct. These lights are perfect in both areas. Very bright and multiple Kelvin options for white, plus nearly infinite options for other colors. The installation instructions are somewhat limited, but they a breeze to put in. They connect directly to your 120v a/c circuit and can be wired in series. You will need a dedicated switch to be in the on position (you have to switch them on and off to put in program mode to activate.). If you don’t have an available switch, you can always put a remote switch in the circuit for less than $20. I was so impressed, I bought another set. There is nothing special about buying different quantities, so if you anticipate the need, go for the quantity discount. Very user friendly app and easy interface with Alexa. Very nice product.
