Ferrofluid Music Rhythm Lamp

What is Ferrofluid?
Developed by NASA, the magnetic liquid was originally used in rocket ships to control fuel in zero gravity.
【Design inspiration】Ferrofluid is known as the prototype substance of the Marvel movie “Venom”. The design purpose is to make the ferrofluid in the glass bottle jump out of different postures with the rhythm of the external sound/music, so that the sound/music can be visualized.
【Material】Note:Does not contain speaker will not make a sound. High strength ABS plastic shell,Imitation oak grain design, crystal diamond decoration, high transparency glass, nano iron powder, pure water, environmentally friendly and non-toxic. Built-in MIC,white LED backlight, can be used without connecting to any line,built-in battery, can last 8 hours when fully charged.
【Usage scenarios】It can be used as a music mate/sound partner for HI-FI speakers and Bluetooth speakers, desktop creative gift toy ornaments, ferrofluid displays, relieve tension toy, ferrofluid dancing lamp, and can also be placed on the piano surface as a piano Metronome.
【Relieve tension】Put it next to the speaker and it will dance to the rhythm of the music. Enjoying the beautiful dance of ferrofluid while listening to music can relieve tension.
【Note】The original design of our product will retain bubbles of different sizes, and the bubbles are used to buffer the pressure inside the glass bottle and prevent the glass bottle from breaking. Keep the device upright so that the bubbles will rise to the top of the glass bottle and you can’t see the bubbles. And please don’t use the product at high temperature, otherwise it will easily cause the bottle loaded with ferrofluid to break.
Customers say
Customers find the ferrofluid display mesmerizing and fun to watch, appreciating its sensitivity to audio outputs and long battery life of up to 6 hours. The product receives mixed feedback about its quality, with some praising its construction while others report defects in the case. Customers disagree on whether it’s worth the price tag, and while the audio detection is generally good, some customers report it cannot make sound at all. Additionally, several customers mention issues with internal stains in the glass.

Got this for my son for Christmas! He loves it…
My son wanted a ferrofluid bottle for Christmas and I didn’t think it was that big a deal. He let me know right before Christmas that was one of the things he really wanted. So I ordered a cheap $30 ferrofluid bottle. But then I saw this and thought, “Maybe this will be cool too.”Boy was I right!! He LOVES this gift and while it wasn’t super cheap, it was by far and away his most appreciated gift and I felt really good about it because it showed I was listening and I went above and beyond what he had asked for. That said, how well does it work. It is pretty solid. You aren’t going to get wild, bottle filling gyrations, but it does dance with music or talk. It responds very well to lower frequencies. And it is very neat that it has a battery, so when you unplug it and haul it around, you don’t have to plug it in again to get it to work. This is a really clever design, would be great for a science teacher, and for any science minded person who “has everything.”

It’s so cool
A band had one of these setup on a guitar amp dancing around during a gig. and I loved it. Needed to buy one. It’s kinda silly with no real reason anyone should own it, other than it’s SO COOL! I love having it on.

Fun for a while
This is a nice desktop device that does work fairly well. However the fluid does start to separate after a bit. Still okay for the price and novelty.

An essential purchase 🙂
Now you may look at this and say its a useless purchase, why would you spend your money on this, etc… But having this for the last 2 months has made watching tv, movies, and playing video games sooo much more fun and exciting. The way this reacts to the sounds and music portrayed has me staring at this device sometimes more than the tv screen.IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A SIGN IN THIS REVIEW SECTION to purchase this, BUY IT NOW!! 🙂

Stained Display
This unit is cool, but the display was ruined upon delivery. There is fluid fused to the glass in several areas and it is highly visible. I would not expect that from a product this expensive. Perhaps it is a storage issue, but I am seeking a refund.

yeah, this thing is terrific
This was a speculative purchase for me. Kind of expensive, not sure if it would look good or really work.Turns out the whole family loves it. The video shows how it works — music is playing in the room (not from the device) and the ferrofluid dances around. Backlighting makes it work and stand out. It looks like an AI animation but it’s a physical, real-world effect. I was also worried that it would look/feel like a cheap thing but it’s nicely solid and dense and feels like it’s quality-made in your hand. Charging is easy with a USB C port. One caveat — don’t leave the magnet permanently attached to the glass … it will magnetize the ferrofluid, or at least that’s what I think happened to me.Great purchase, would buy again and will probably gift come winter.

Very cool desk toy and conversation starter
This thing is super fun. I keep it on my desk and talk to it to make it dance when I’m bored. I let it charge overnight and then during the workday it runs on battery all day no problem (~9 hours generally).I turn it away a lot so that people who come into my office are greeted by it and it’s been a big hit. People love it and it’s even diffused some stressful situations. Great conversation starter. The ferrofluid itself is very reactive to the magnets and when it really gets going, it likes to split apart into smaller forms and then reform later. It’s a ton of fun to watch. One caveat to all of this: the first one I ordered had a manufacturing defect (dark line across the width of the white backing circle) and suboptimal ferrofluid reactivity. I exchanged it and the replacement was perfect, so no harm no foul.
