Well designed, well made, runs Linux flawlessly.
I bought this PC with the intention of making it a Linux web server. The first thing I did was remove the included 1tb NVMe drive without ever booting Windows. I put in a 2 tb NVMe drive and a 4 tb NVMe drive on a PCIe adapter card from Sabrent. I added an 18 tb 3.5″ SATA hard drive for backup use, then installed AlmaLinux 9.5 which was a piece of cake. I have a second 4tb NVMe stick coming which will replace the 2tb drive used for testing. I took out the included 32 gb of RAM and replaced it with two 32 gb boards for 64 gb total. Yummy!I will be shipping this server to a datacenter in Kansas City that accepts desktop computers. It is an excellent product. The BIOS supports automatic power on after a power failure, and it is a very attractive BIOS on a full HD monitor. It boots very fast, is good value for price. I like the fact that it does not have built in WiFi since in a server that would just increase the attack surface. It does not support PCIe bifurcation so I can’t use a dual NVMe PCIe card, but 8 tb total will be plenty for an old man.

Great Budget Friendly Computer
This computer replaced an old Dell OptiPlex I purchased in 2010. That computer crashed I needed a new one but was on a Budget This Inspiron exceeded my expectations. I work remotely as a freelance Medical Coder/Biller this new dell makes it so easier to complete my charts. I was up and running in about 30 minutes or so I already had an Microsoft account once I was able to sign with my Microsoft credentials everything was transferred from the OptiPlex I was even able to access my Microsoft Office with my product key. I love that it’s Bluetooth, if I need more memory I can add that later, I’m not a “hard core” gamer so I can’t speak of that aspect, I also love that I can connect both my monitors to this PC Using both Display port and HDMIThis computer doesn’t have VGA input (I prefer to use Display port or HDMI better screen resolution) Windows wasn’t recognizing my 2nd Monitor at first I had to restart the computer a few times then I saw my Monitor 2nd coming on Lol, it comes with a keyboard and mouse (wired usb) it boots up really fast and when I’m surfing the internet it’s SUPER FAST! I love that and I can use my wireless headset after I plugged in my usb dongle Windows immediately recognized it. Doesn’t come with a Monitor but luckily I already had my own! Computer is very quiet something else I have to get use to my OptiPlex was noisy Lol Overall really Great system Thanks!

Getting better!
The company has resolved my wifi issues by sending a new adapter and the computer runs very well now. I’m happy with the purchase and it’s what I expected.

New Computer
Nice and fast and a compact footprint. Doesn’t take much room. Just have to get used to using Windows 11 as my old computer was windows 10.

It’s normal to power on/off for 3 seconds when power is applied. Came with wired Keyboard and Mouse
Dell Inspiron 3020s I3 desktop review. I plug all my pc devices into one power board and power everything on/off when using them. When the power is first applied to the desktop it’s normal to power on/off for 3 seconds, then push the button to power on as normal. Reading online I found this is due to a BIOS setting which isn’t easy to change for me. Like anything you can look it up on internet. This works well for my use as I’m not a gamer. I probably didn’t need the 1TB hard drive as the 256 SSD is probably enough. It also came with a wired mouse and wired keyboard which wasn’t mentioned in the description. All my devices were plug and play. Printer, mouse, keyboard, monitor, external cd r/w drive, external hard drive. I didn’t need to load any drivers from CD’s. The drivers on my cd’s probably wouldn’t work with windows 11 anyway. It has a covered slot on the front panel which is where an optical CD/ DVD drive could go. The wires for cd/dvd drive connection are inside. When I asked Dell about a drive they said they were out of stock. I don’t like the vertical anyway so I bought a roofull super slim external drive on Amazon after returning 2 dell external drives(bought /returned/repeat)that wouldn’t work properly The PC I received is not noisy as others have reported. It’s actually very quiet. and is sitting on my desk in front of me.

Not new. Sold as new.
I ordered 2 of these computers. I thought they were new. They were not. They were registered in UAE in 8/2024. One does not work at all. I called Dell support. They said the mother board was bad. I’m sending one back. Hopping the other is ok.
