This time makes life much more convenient!
This timer works as advertised & I would it 5 stars for performance. We use it to turn our pool pump filter on & off everyday, and I really LIKE that we can have the app on our phones for convenience, so that we can turn it off no matter where we are, if we know there’s a big storm coming. We also use this timer if we have a lot of people in the pool. We can set a countdown timer, which is helpful, to run it for a few more hours than our normal settings, which is on about 9 am & off about 5 pm. The electricians who wired it to our fusebox, liked it so much that they said they would be recommending it to other customers of theirs who will be installing pools. The only issue, whatsoever is the initial setup. I was having trouble with my iPhone, however, my wife has an android, Pixel 7, and I tried on her phone when I was about ready to give up & it was super easy to set up on her phone. Once it was on her phone, it was then very easy to set up on my iPhone. I did email support a couple of times, but it seemed as though they were not comfortable with English & any communication was very frustrating. That said, someone created a great product here! I do highly recommend it!

Doesn’t work – tried 2 units and cannot even get wifi to connect…
***update 8/8/2020***After struggling to get 2 different units working, I purchased a GE unit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YTCZZF0/) and swapped it in place of the Dewinwils unit. No change to the wiring at all. As soon as the GE unit kicked on I was immediately able to connect it to my SmartThings hub, and had instant control over the device. The GE unit is considerably more money, but let me tell you this – it worked right out of the box, no fuss. The Dewinwils unit doesn’t look ready for prime time.To be fair, they finally did reach out to me by email, but the entire troubleshooting regimen they prescribed I had already done exhaustively myself. I weighed out the benefits too – even if through exhaustive troubleshooting they were able to make it work, how often would I have to mess with it in the future to keep it running. No thanks guys. Please work on the out-of-the-box experience, so many people in the reviews here complain of having to vigorously troubleshoot to get and keep their units running, that isn’t going to fly – especially for a device to enable automation! We want this stuff to work every time!I’m usually very patient when it comes to electrical wiring projects like this, but this one has me ready to give up. I ordered this item to power my pool pump, which is a Hayward 1 horsepower 120 volt pump. By all means this unit checks all the boxes I’m looking for in a pool timer, I just cannot get it to work. The wiring for this thing is simple enough, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with my wiring connections. As soon as I apply power to the device, the Wi-Fi light starts flashing and I attempt to connect my cell phone to it to begin setup. As soon as I establish the initial connection the Wi-Fi light goes out, and my phone drops the connection immediately. Afterwards the Wi-Fi light will come on and stay on solid, and then it will begin flashing and then it will go out and it keeps doing this over and over and over again. I cannot maintain a connection to this device for more than a second or two, so I can never complete the setup. The manual power button will work to turn the pump on only when the Wi-Fi light begins flashing. Within seconds the Wi-Fi light turns off, the pump will run for about 5 Seconds and then shuts off. I can turn the pump on with the manual power button anytime the Wi-Fi light is flashing, but when the Wi-Fi light is solid or when the Wi-Fi light is off the manual power button does nothing.I’m frustrated and cannot seem to figure this thing out at all. I emailed support but they haven’t responded to me in days. I want this thing to work, but I am losing hope. If I can’t figure it out in a day or two I’m putting it back in the box and sending it back.

Great product!
Works great powering our lake aerator. Allows us to set timers and operate remotely! Setup is easy if you take your time and follow the steps carefully. The wifi name must be the name you have assigned your wifi and not necessarily the SSID.

Works great, easy setup for my pool pump
Replaced an older Intermatic digital timer with this unit because I wanted a little bit of smart ability, such as being able to use Google or Alexa to automatically shut off the pump after an hour if someone turns it on, etc. I haven’t got to that part yet but it should be straightforward. The unit was easy to swap in and lit right up when I applied power. The app isn’t as slick as it could be but it doesn’t really need to be i suppose. It works, there’s one button, that’s all it takes. Setting up wifi was simple and quick. Note that it only supports 2.4Ghz so if you have a mixed band network you’re going to need to separate the bands into different SSIDs or it probably won’t join. I used my IoT network which is 2.4 only so it gave me no issues. The terminals seem a little less robust than the old Intermatic timer and the screws are shorter so it can be a bit of a pain to get the thick wires in there especially if there’s a line and a jumper, and because the little plastic lids over the terminals don’t stay up on their own. You’ll need a wife or some tape to keep them out of the way to save you grief. 4 instead of 5 stars for those reasons and because it’s a company I’ve never heard of before ‘Dewenwils’. It was super cheap so I figured I’d try it. In a year if I haven’t gone back to the old timer I will add the 5th star.

Great WiFi pool pump controller
I have to travel for a week during the summer but my pool pump has to run normally. My worst fear is if a pipe bursts or something catastrophic happens to the plumbing. This device will give me peace of mind while I am away. The price makes it a sweet deal.I did not take long to install the unit to replace the current Intermatic T104 electromechanical timer. Unfortunately, the unit I received did not work. I had trouble connecting the device to WiFi and setup the iPhone app. I contacted Dewenwils technical support and Cecilia helped me walk through several steps to troubleshoot. No luck. Cecilia then offered to send me a replacement unit to try again. On the next day, I received the new unit. This time, I only hooked up AC power to the new unit to do my configuration and make sure I do not have the same issues as the first one. Within minutes, I got the new unit connected to my WiFi and got it added to my iPhone app. I am as happy as can be. Many thanks to Cecilia’s patient support. Kudos to her.

Multiple options for different power but the manual is easy to read and understand, also installation is easy and app works fine. No problems so far

I installed this device as a second safeguard in case I forget to turn off my well pump when I leave my cottage. I have at times forget to turn off the pump before I leave. This way I can be assured the pump is in fact off from home. Has a handy push button to turn it on and off even without WiFi with a red indicator to show if it is on and a blue indicator to show WiFi is on this switch will handle a 1/2hp 220v deep well pump. The cost of this switch is less than a trip back to my cottage to turn the water off. I can also use it to turn on the water remotely if a friend or family member goes there while I am not there. I get frequent power outages and knock on wood so far this device has never needed reprogramming which is more than I can say for many other WiFi devices. The steel case is well made and apparently can be used outside. Although I have it mounted in my utility room inside. A good addition for peace of mind

I have this product outside in the rain/snow/ice for more than a year and the product look like new.Work great with the wifi (be sure to have wifi signal outside before installing the unit !) inside and outside.I have many of this unit installed inside and outside and no problem.Make sure to close the box after manually turned on or off the unit and it will stay dry even in big storm.p.s. Make sure to test your wifi signal with your phone where you want to install this unit before doing the job done. this unit will not create wifi so test it first !
