Fits like a glove!
It’s a bummer that this wasn’t included with the PS5 Pro. But for what it’s worth and especially for is “disc users” this disc drive is pretty solid.It plays both PS4 & PS5 disc’s games easily and I appreciate the fact that if you insert the disc incorrectly (as I did the first couple of times), it doesn’t get loud and violent and break or so. You’ll get an error on screen to say the the disc is unreadable by which you just need to eject rhe disc and flip it over and it’s all good to go.The installation was pretty simple as well. Except that gut renching feeling you get when you have to remove the PS5’s lower side panel and sounds like you’re about to break it. Otherwise it’s all good.

Easier than putting a dvd in a dvd player!
I was worried I would need some sort of knowledge or know how to install this on my ps5 pro, but to my surprise it was an easy 3 step process. First I pop off the white shell covering where the drive was to go then put the one end in first then press down the other snapped in, then power on and put in disc! No worries or plugs just line the disc drive up and press in easy peezy! Was worth the upgrade I still believe owning a disc is better than owning a digital copy, best part was it was the same price as Walmart or GameStop yet I didn’t have to take the drive!

PS5 Pro must have for all my ps4 games & UHD movies
Got it for my ps5 pro. Very easy to install. I noticed it can get a little loud. It almost makes me want to play digital just to preserve the disc drive longer. The ps5 is an ugly system and it does make the system look more unappealing. But I bought the all black to make it look decent. I’m probably gonna buy another one eventually if I can get a deal on it

I bought this for my new PS5 Pro that doesn’t come with a disc drive (PS5 Pro is a digital only console). The installation was super quick, pretty much plug and play if you follow the instructions. Everything worked immediately. In testing on my PS5 Pro, its compatible with PS5 & PS4 games that PS5 Pro supports, as well as Blu-ray DVDs. Do you need this disc drive? Up to you. Sony is going into a more digital download direction but I celebrate physical game discs and want to use my PS5 Pro as a Blu-ray player in tandem. So it fits my needs and is working to my expectations.

Expensive thanks to shortage of PS5 Slim Disc Drives. Packaging seal was broken but everything else seemd to be intact. Delivered before due date. Simple installation and works. PS5 games are cheaper majority of times in Aus compared to PS digital sales.

L’unità disco, più comunemente chiamata “lettore del disco”, funziona perfettamente, è compatibile anche per la PlayStation 5 pro, ovviamente, come potete vedere dalla foto. L’installazione è molto semplice, ma non dovete avere paura di togliere la placca. Piccola chicca che ho trovato carina, è molto silenzioso l’inserimento del CD e molto fluido, riconoscerà subito il CD e lo trascinerà subito all’interno. Ovviamente la parte lucida del CD va messa verso il lettore (verso l’esterno della play). Non vi nascondo che comunque la play farà ovviamente più rumore quando giocate ad un gioco fisico, dovrà pur farlo girare. Se avete un gioco PlayStation 4 ed esiste la versione PlayStation 5, una volta installato, andando sullo store ed aggiungendo il medesimo gioco versione PlayStation 5 nel carrello, ve lo aggiornerà gratuitamente. L’unica pecca, se vogliamo chiamarla così, è l’inevitabile asimmetria della console, ovviamente sorvolabile.
