    Pretty cool entry level drone
This drone is a decent option for beginners. It’s easy to fly with features like headless mode and one-button takeoff/landing. The 1080p camera provides decent quality footage, and the ability to adjust the camera angle is a nice touch. The foldable design is also convenient for storage and transport. However, the included batteries seem to have a lower capacity than advertised, resulting in shorter flight times than expected. I was able to achieve around 7 minutes of flight time with gentle indoor use, but this will likely decrease with more aggressive flying or outdoor use.I’ve ordered some higher capacity batteries from Amazon which should significantly improve flight times.

    It Flys
I have flown the unit successfully. Being a kid at heart, I assembled it and hit the one button take off while sitting on the living room couch. It took off and I started trying to fly it, barely missed getting tangled up in our ceiling fan then on into the kitchen where I was able to land it without breaking anything. So, I think anyone who takes time to read the directions could easily fly it with complete control. It’s an outstanding drone for the price and it’s easy to fold up and take along on outdoor excursions.Comes with 2 rechargeable batteries for the drone. You need 3 AA batteries for the controller.

Apologies for a lengthy review, I tend to drone on…
For an entry-level UAV, this is a fairly decent unit that operates about as we’d expect it to for this price. It isn’t perfect and tends to wander around on its own a bit, even indoors. There are trim adjustments, but only seem to be effective for a while before wander sets in again. This is really the biggest issue this product has against it, and I’ve experienced worse in higher priced flyers. So I was wondering if it came with a battery (as it wasn’t listed anywhere), but it had 2 batts included. Supposedly, they’re 1800mAh ones, but I suspect they may be half that rating – flight time being what it was. But it’s easy to find 2600mAh batts listed on Amazon for around $10 for 3 of em!! Just look for E88 2600mah, and all sorts will pop up. I’ve ordered some, and should almost double the flight time. What flight time am I getting? Simply hovering in place indoors, no app or video being used, I recorded 6:15 until the low-batt flashing began. Another 0:40 until losing propeller power (LEDs stiill flashing). Flying outdoors and more aggressively will cut this time depending on how wild ya get with it. All the more reason to get the better batts…As for range, I’ll say that I lost connection around the 150ft distance. I wasn’t flying it, but it was elevated on our 2nd story deck. It easily indicated losing signal by flashing all the drone lights the same as a low-batt notice. Once within range, the flashing became constant lights again, and control was restored. So don’t expect to fly it out of sight and still be in control, like more well known UAVs. If it was flying when going out of range, I’m not sure if it would reverse itself or simply keep going. There is a take-off and landing button that’s handy if those functions are high-stress situations. The landing will drop it down wherever it is, without returning home first – so make sure there’s nothing that impedes its descent to the ground. It’s also VERY important to calibrate it prior to take-off, and MAKE SURE the craft is as close to level as possible. Calibrating with a slight unlevel slope of even a couple degrees, will set the internal gyro so it won’t keep a stationary position very well. All things considered, for the awesome price of $50, this is a good deal of fun (while the battery lasts). I plan on connecting to the phone app for POV capability, taking video/pictures, and figuring out waypoint flying (claims to do this, but didn’t see any directions how). I’ll return to update this review with more info as I learn it, so stay tuned…

You get what you pay for?
This drone is cheap and does not surprise with its quality and features.First of all, the description in the listing is confusing and inaccurate. The listing (currently) says “0 battery” and “No flight time”. What does that even mean? It sounds like the drone would come with no batteries which would not allow it to fly at all! In reality, it came with 2 batteries which are both very small and light and probably don’t provide a very long flight time. The other confusing thing is the listing states down under Technical Details “Media Type – SD” which implies to me that the drone would accept an SD card for photo/video storage. No, there is no SD (or microSD) card slot in this drone. It seems that any photos or videos you shoot are loaded directly to the app on your phone. The “manual” included with the drone only shows flying the drone from the included controller and does not mention using the app on your phone at all. Obviously, it’s not an “FPV” drone if you don’t have a screen. A small insert is included, which has QR code links to the app for both Apple and Android phones. This insert also has a very brief run-down of the app functions. I just find it odd that there is no mention anywhere of using both the app and the controller together. The controller has a spring tension holder for your phone, so it’s clearly made to be operated with both, and that is how I performed all of my testing.Once I loaded the app, put batteries (not included) into the controller, and charged the two drone batteries, getting set up and ready to fly was pretty simple. Actually flying it proved to be another matter. It is very unstable in flight. I used the “trim” buttons on the controller to get it to hover mostly in one spot, but it would still “toilet bowl” and circle around a central point. Any time I flew it in one direction and then let off the stick, it would immediately start flying quickly in the opposite direction. Other drones I’ve used will stop and hover in place when you let go of both sticks, but this one seemed to have a mind of its own.Given the frustration with flying, I didn’t run it long enough to deplete one battery. I had it going for 10-12 minutes before giving up.The cameras are just OK. I found the couple of photos I took to be grainy, despite the high pixel count (7680 x 4320). Video was pretty terrible. It was quite jerky, like it had a low bit-rate. There is apparently no gimble on the camera, so as the drone moves the camera view jerks around a lot as well. The drone does come in a nice padded case, with extra prop blades and screws. Another reviewer called this a “GPS drone”, which is inaccurate, as I believe this drone does not have any sort of GPS on board. At least nothing in the manual or the app indicate any GPS capability.Overall, I give this drone a solid “Meh”. I can’t fault it too hard, because it’s so cheap. If this was more expensive, it would barely get 1 star, but for the price I’ll give it 3. If you want something cheap to play around with, go for it. But if you’re looking for something with good video and good flight control you’d be better served to spend some more money and get something better.
