Customers say
Customers praise the security camera’s picture quality, particularly its 2K resolution and day and night clarity. The camera is easy to set up and install, with one customer noting it’s ready to go in 15 minutes. The solar charging feature receives positive feedback for its innovative design. However, functionality and battery life show mixed results – while the solar panel works efficiently, some report the built-in panel stops working, and while the camera maintains its own charge, others mention it drains faster than expected. Motion detection and value for money also receive mixed reviews, with some customers finding the motion detection good while others report it being finicky, and while some find it affordable, others consider it worthless.

Great Quality and Best of All…No Subscription Fees AND No Battery Charging!
I have had the cameras over a month and have been the best compared to other competitors. I like not having to worry about charging a battery and not having to pay a subscription fee.Installation was simple with installation taking about 15 minutes. Determining the right angle is what took the most time. I recommend adding the camera to the app first to view the position as you install. The app is very user friendly and is pretty much “plug and play”.The app has great motion detection and a history log and alerts depending on what you would like to recognize, to specifically include human motion detection.Overall, I am impressed with the products video quality and app features that in the end make me feel safe and secured.

Great Quality Camera. Easy to Set up and Install
I purchased this camera as an add on to my already existing “Eufy System” because one of my battery power cameras just didn’t hold enough charge in the location I had it located at. I’ll say I did fully charge this solar camera before using it because it had been overcast weather recently and I wasn’t sure how long it would take to charge the battery with the solar panel. This camera was easy to set up and connected to my system without any problems. It’s been about two weeks, and it operates exactly as it should. The battery indicator shows full (I’m assuming it stays fully charged with the solar it gets). Very happy so far with the quality of the camera. If it continues to work well, I’ll probably add a couple more Eufy Solocam cameras to my system. As a side note: Throw away the included installation screws as they are “absolute junk” and will strip when you try to tighten them to secure the base. This has happened on the other Eufy camera bases I purchased too.

Best Cams!
We own both the older, bulkier S220 solar cam and this newer one which i recently bought in a 2 pack to protect my 2nd property. This is such a great value and it’s everything you need to monitor your property. Because this is solar you can mount it anywhere outdoors – no wiring needed! It’s easy to set up! We have one attached to an exterior 2nd story wall (installed from indoors by a window) and another just sitting on a rock wall/planter in our yard. We find these solar cams more reliable than the wired ones! Even if the internet and electricity is down, later we’ll have the video. The motion detection range is great too. The only time the solar power failed was when we didn’t have any direct sunlight for over 2 weeks! I live in New England and even still this was a brief, rare occurrence. All in all, i own 6 eufy cams including a (wired) doorbell cam and a (wired) floodlight cam (which was my first cam) plus these. They have helped protect my property from intruders and trespassers. This solar cam at my 2nd property caught a man in a pickup truck driving onto my yard. 😣 The video captured both his appearance and his license plate. Cops were are able locate & deal with him. These solar ones are our fav, and I wouldn’t go without them. Two or three and a doorbell cam is all you need to protect your whole property from the exterior.

Good camera for home or small business security
This solar-powered camera has been working very well. I have it watching my side yard along with some battery operated cameras. The solar charging system on this is a real convenience. My battery operated cameras only have to be charged ever month or so, but I often forget until I notice that I don’t have any video clips and the app shows that they are out of power. As long as this camera gets some sunlight, that seems to keep it charged. The camera’s picture is clear, and the notifications work. Further, it has some human recognition features and does not require a dedicated base station. It runs on my WiFi network.

Terrible motion detection
I am very unhappy with these cameras and quite frankly all eufy products I have. I have had them up for about a week. I have adjusted them perfectly to get sunlight to charge and keep the motion detector sensor level as it instructs. Yet many of them don’t detect motion or start recording at the tail end of the event. I am extremely angry to have invested about $600-$700 with 6 cameras, a Homebase 3 and doorbell when I could have just bought a really great IP camera system for just a little more. You can stand right in front of the cameras sometimes and it does nothing. My doorbell was working good for a couple weeks and now it only records the tail end of events. These are just TERRIBLE cameras with very flawed technology. I read reviews on them and saw similar complaints. However being in the tech industry I figured people weren’t taking the time to set them up right and being patient. I now know exactly why they were unhappy, because they in fact DON’T WORK! I have also read that the solor charging cameras don’t last as the solor panel peels. Well I won’t be waiting around to find out as I’m going to be sending all Eufy products back and investing in a REAL security camera system that works. The fact that they charge as much as they do for this garbage product blows my mind. They are far superior products priced the same or less. These provide no value, no security, fail detection often and according to lots of reviews don’t last past the warranty period. I am diligently searching for the best IP camera system for my home and then these come down and get shipped back. After all I have until Jan 31, 2024. Eufy products have wasted a huge amount of my time so I am not going to rush any further. I would implore you to seriously consider any other camera system. The time you will spend setting everything up all for nothing could be used installing a camera system that actually works and lasts for a decade or more. The funny thing in this whole debacle is a friend bought a couple cameras too right after I did and he hates them as well. I will however say that the batteries did stay charged during their use. But a charged battery doesn’t do anything when it misses every person walking in front of it. I also noticed that when you set up activity zones it really further degrades the performance of the motion detection. It seems to work better just letting the cameras go all willy nilly on there own unchecked. I think the funniest thing out of this whole situation is I have ultra low traffic to my home. A delivery here or there and the mail man. Its only me that lives at the house. But when it doesn’t even detect me in the yard, by the garage or like tonight when I when outside to get the mail right in front of the camera, it’s time to give up. I bet Eufy will have some sort of excuse for this to try to convince me to keep them past the return date. Save your breath Eufy as not a dime of my money will be going in your pocket for this junk.

Love these cameras. Have a whole set up of them for me and the family. Work wonders. Easy to use. Great motion detection. Great video quality. Good sound quality. Perfect security camera. Battery life is amazing with the solar panels always charging it up so you don’t have to worry about a dead camera. Highly recommend to anyone.

I replaced 24/7 video system from Nest, with Eufy event triggered cameras and an S3 home base. Better resolution @2k then the 1080p of course and no problems with cameras, but I find the app could be more intuitive. I often search for a setting over and over, as it is never where I think it should be. Recently, they updated the information that is provided by the app and the solar charging of my S220 in Dashboard was no longer visible. After half a dozen emails to their support, this fortunately has been fixed. However this was not fixed by an app update but at Eufy server level, so clearly there is Eufy cloud support for devices, even though I thought everything was ‘local’. If Eufy went out of business, I worry there could be loss of usability There is an Apple Watch app but it only controls Eufy lock, not cameras. I get notifications on my watch but only sometimes with snapshot image. Absolutely no documentation for this, and I see others with this issue in reviews. This should be fixed imo.Update: We have 4 Eufy cameras (2x S220 and 2x C210) and a S380 base station. One of our C210 cameras failed and spontaneously bricked itself 3 days ago, about 9 months after installed. At first Eufy claimed it was out of warranty as it was ‘refurbished’. When I noted that I had thought I had bought new and nowhere on the invoice did it say refurbished, Eufy agreed to replace with same item, but not provide further warranty. That is reasonable. It is great when companies can review individual cases and provide support.

Had this camera just over one year now and it was amazing. A little touch-and-go at first as the algorithm tried to learn the surroundings and adjust itself accordingly. But after about a month of that, it was great and we were running smoothly. Suddenly a few days ago it stopped working. The unit wouldn’t charge. The blue light would come on after I plugged it in and then it would go out. After a few hours it still wasn’t charging. Did all the troubleshooting and it still wouldn’t work. Can’t charge, can’t keep a charge, can’t sync or re-sync to the app, can’t even get it connected back to any WiFi. It’s toast. Eufy support, because I’m out of warranty, can’t do anything either and don’t seem very interested to troubleshoot it outside of their standard pre-scripted solutions… So now it goes into the trash. Unlucky.
