Customers say

Customers find the security camera’s picture quality excellent, with crystal clear video even at night, and appreciate its ease of installation through the Eufy app. The functionality receives positive feedback, with solar power working perfectly, though motion detection accuracy is mixed. Battery life and value for money also receive mixed reviews – while the solar panel keeps the battery fully charged, some units stop charging at 43%, and opinions on cost-effectiveness are divided.

Works great. Appreciate the ease of use and installation
I typically use Ring cameras around my homes, but I bought this Eufy camera because I wanted higher resolution than Ring provides.I really like this unit because it gives high resolution. It’s the whole package, with a solar panel to keep it charged up with no wires. It’s very cool that the AI functionality tracks objects and people as they move.If you buy it, remember to buy an SD card for local storage if you don’t want to pay for a cloud storage plan. The software keeps the solar panel from overcharging the battery and shows how much energy it has generated over time. Gives you real time charge levels. Enables you to steer the camera. All told, it’s a very good camera at a very reasonable price. Mounting brackets are available to easily attach it to your gutter. I’ve bought additional units to supplement my Ring cameras. One of my uses is to be able to visually monitor the water level in my Florida pool when I’m away for the season. I have a Hyve WiFi faucet control and leave my hose on the edge of the pool. If I see the water level is too low, I can remotely turn the hose on manually or select a duration to fill the pool so my pump doesn’t burn out. Works great.

Excellent Wireless Security Cameras with Solar Panel!
I recently purchased these wireless security cameras with solar panels, and I am extremely satisfied with their performance. The installation was straightforward, with no need for complicated wiring. The solar panel keeps the battery charged, so I don’t have to worry about frequent recharging. The image quality is excellent, both during the day and at night, thanks to the night vision feature. The motion detection is very accurate, sending timely alerts to my phone. The two-way audio is also a great addition, allowing me to communicate remotely when needed.Overall, this product offers great value for the price. Reliable, easy to set up, and truly wireless! I highly recommend it for home security.

    Excellent Security Camera
This security camera had everything that I wanted in a security camera and I have had this for over a year and I am very pleased. This was very easy to install; it has a home base, and I did not have to get a subscription; it runs off of solar, so you don’t need an outlet; the motion detection is excellent; picture quality is 8 X, you can rotate the camera through the phone app and pretty much have a 360 degree field of view; you can talk to people through the security camera. I am probably missing other features, but I have had this camera outside for a while, it has faced heavy winds, rain and cold weather and I have not had any issues with it. I bought the security camera and home base when it was on sale and I am very pleased with this security camera.

    Good camera, bad solar panels.
Edit: The camera now charges with the solar panel, but cloudy days limit charging. Occasionally the AI recognizes deer as humans, but that’s alright. Overall it’s a decent camera and I’ll likely buy a few more. The camera works fine when the solar panel works. At times it shows no panel and the charging animation is working. Other times the panel is just dead and no charge.

    REALLY GREAT SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEM!
This is one of my EASIEST 5-star reviews. This is a GREAT product, and no I don’t own stock in Eufy.I wanted to replace my old DVR-based wired system with a more modern system of wireless video cams. I looked at other brands, and based on the YouTube vid’s I watched, the Eufy S340 seemed to do it all. So, I bought the starter pack (2 cams and a Homebase) to try out, and it did everything that Eufy claimed, and more. On that basis I bought 5 more cameras and have not been disappointed. I’m not going to rehash all of the S340’s features. I suggest that you watch any of the YouTube videos about this product. I will only list the features that wildly exceeded my expectations, along with some installation tips:1. Customer Service. One of my 7 cams worked perfectly except that the battery wouldn’t fully charge to 100%. It only charged up to 44%, but that was still more than enough power for it to function perfectly. But I wasn’t happy with what was likely a battery that had been on a warehouse shelf a bit too long, so I called Eufy product support. *Before* I was off the phone with them, they had a replacement on its way to me, without first having confirmed that I had shipped the old one back. THAT is what I call exceptional CSX.2. Installation wizard. The installation process is via an automated wizard that’s activated by your mobile phone’s Eufy app, and it’s terrific. It walks you thru every step of the installation, and I’ve never had a problem installing a cam. It’s a brilliantly designed piece of software that even takes you thru updating the camera firmware to the latest version.3. Solar panel mounting tips. On my eaves, my concrete roof tiles extend over the edge of the fascia board by a couple of inches. This can make it difficult to install the camera with the solar panel attached directly to the top of the cam. Also, some locations don’t get enough direct sunlight. So, I mounted the solar panels in some locations 5 or 6 feet away from the camera and I used these really great stand-offs for the solar panels:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKGCFNTD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsThese are great, too, but don’t provide as much of a stand-off distance:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08RNHSMCL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I used both of these in various locations, depending on how much stand-off distance I needed. They are great products. When you install the solar panel in a different location than the camera, you’ll be using the provided extension cable that’s about 10 feet long. I wanted to keep this installation neat and professional looking, so I used these cable clips to fasten the cable to the inside of the eaves fascia board:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RMNPCYN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=14. Eufy app. The downloadable app is amazingly complete. It has more panels and info on it than I’ve seen in other more sophisticated products (like my Generac standby generator). You can setup camera sensitivity, AI tracking, sound, video quality, and on and on. I have one camera focused on my fishpond and I’ve set it to a slightly higher sensitivity than the other cams, and I’ve told it to recognize animals. It almost always records a huge great horned owl in the middle of the night when I’m sleeping, and it’s going for a drink of water. I’ve also set that same camera to trigger the built-in siren and strobe light if it sees anything that’s coyote-sized trying to catch my goldfish or koi.5. Panning and close-ups. You can pan the cameras while you’re viewing them remotely, and you can do a closeup using a finger drag on your screen, or you can switch to the 3x lens for an even more detailed close-up. All of these features work flawlessly and in real time. What a great thing to have when you’re on vacation!6. Serious security. I’ve used the configurable “Automation” capability to “knit” my cameras together into an automated system that will set off alarms under circumstances that I’ve defined. For instance, I’ve set my system to behave normally from 6a to midnight. During that time, if any camera detects movement (definable by camera), the system records the event and stores it. BUT AFTER MIDNIGHT and before 6a, if it detects humans or cars on my driveway, all hell breaks loose. That means that those triggered cameras flash a strobe, sound a siren, and send me an alert that wakes me up. In such a case, I could bring that camera up on the screen, and I could turn off the siren and yell at the unwanted visitor(s) through the built-in loudspeaker.7. Camera wireless range. I noticed that it took a while to access my farthest cameras using the Eufy app. They were attached in a location on the eaves outside my garage doors. I simply installed an additional eero Wi-Fi Extender in the garage, and that solved the problem. I already had an eero router and other eero extenders in order to provide better performance for my other network devices around my large-ish house, so I just needed an additional extender.—————————————————————There’s really nothing about these cameras or the system software that I don’t like. I can’t address reliability because I’ve only had them in for a few months now, but so far, so good. I can’t recommend this system highly enough.BTW, all my cams are connected to my Eufy Homebase S380, which is a separate product, and which you should buy with your first camera purchase. It’s $149 by itself, but Eufy has a pkg that includes two cams and a Homebase for a substantial discount. I needed to use it because the camera is actually mounted under an awning in the shade, and there was more than enough room for a short stand-off. The second picture shows a long stand-off. I needed to use a longer one in order to clear the roof tiles and to get a good view of the sun.

The Eufy Security SoloCam S340 has been an amazing addition to my dog daycare business. It’s reliable, easy to use, and the solar-powered feature means I never have to worry about charging it. I use this camera daily to monitor the property while I’m not around, and it’s been a huge help in keeping everything secure. One of my favorite features is the phone notifications—whether I’m out back with the dogs or away from the property, I can see when customers arrive or if anything unusual happens. The video quality is excellent, and the app is intuitive, making it easy to review footage or check live views. This camera has given me so much peace of mind and is an essential tool for running my business. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable and low-maintenance security solution!

Excellent product far more superior to the other brand I have . Easy setup great operation with solar panel included no need to disturb camera for adjustment as the eufy has dual lens and capability to detect and track movement ,a spot light ,very good night vision along with some other options, most importantly no need to remove for recharging .or purchase separate add on solar panels for the other brand as the Eufy camera comes complete right out of the box setup and mount relax and have confidence and peace of mind that this camera is working for you highly recommended great product for the price .

First off, solar-powered? Hell yes! It’s like this thing is a plant, soaking up the sun to keep your house secure. No more scrambling for batteries like a squirrel on Red Bull.Let’s talk installation. If you can hang a picture frame, you can install this bad boy. It’s wireless, so you won’t be tripping over cords like a drunk at a garden party. Plus, it’s got 360° surveillance, so no more blind spots. It’s like having a paranoid owl on your side.Video quality? Crystal clear, baby. You’ll catch every detail, from the neighbor’s dog doing its business on your lawn to that sketchy person eyeing your packages. And the night vision? You’ll feel like you’re running a secret government operation. But here’s where it gets dicey. Compatibility is a bit like a fussy teenager. It doesn’t play well with all smart home systems. And the Wi-Fi? Better be strong, or you’ll be watching your intruders in glorious buffering.Price-wise, it’s up there. You might feel like you’re buying a small island. And the setup? You might need a PhD in rocket science to get it going. But once it’s up and running, it’s solid. Unless the sun goes on vacation – then the battery might throw a tantrum. No monthly fees, though. So you won’t feel like you’re hemorrhaging money every month just to keep an eye on things. And the motion detection? It’s like having a nosy neighbor who actually works for you.So, what’s the verdict? I give this eye in the sky a solid 4 out of 5. It’s a bit pricey and can be a pain to set up, but once it’s running, it’s smoother than a jazz concert on a Sunday afternoon. Just make sure you’ve got that Wi-Fi game strong. Happy spying, folks!
