We purchased similar items locally and returned multiple sets since the bulbs did not work or half the string worked. This product was well packaged and better made than local options. Every bulb worked and even comes with additional bulbs as backup.

Water resistant (Outside) and easy to put up with built in hook holes.
Got these to hang in my greenhouse to help with warmth and also light. I used Plant Grow bulbs during the winter, and it worked out great! Water resistant, and when hooked up to my timer, it worked out great!

Overall, the string lights add a nice ambiance to my backyard, but the installation process was a little frustrating.At first install, I was disappointed that over half the bulbs of two separate lines weren’t lighting up. I was perplexed by this – did I buy and take the trouble to install two faulty lines? I read up on the manual and they wrote that the wires are individually strung out to each bulb so it was very curious and frustrating that it appeared that I got two strings with individual faulty lines.I was ready to uninstall the string lights (not an easy task as you can imagine) when my partner checked on the tightness of each bulb. Sure enough, the unlit bulbs became lit after he twisted the bulbs more and it made a click noise! Ok, now of course I felt like an idiot because although I tightened the light bulbs as much as I felt I could without potentially damaging it, it was his double check of my install that made it work.We checked the lights again the following evening (they are on a timer). Not all the bulbs lit again but more than the first install! We thought the bulbs that weren’t lit the second night were the ones that were lit the first night and that my partner did not tightened. But noooo, some of the unlit ones from the second night were the same unlit ones from the first night that were tightened. We tightened those bulbs again (made another click noise) and bulbs lit once again.I guess lessons to be learned of my review is:1) test the bulbs before installing the strings.2) test it a second or third time in separate occasions to confirm all wires are proper.

Nice and bright!
This is the second strand of this product I have purchased from the same company. I have two condominiums one on top of the other and I string these around the balcony. You can see the light from about a mile away. Easy to put together and plug-in. Plus, it has the option to insert another strand into it.

What’s not to say.
I have nothing but good things to say about this product.I bought these with maybe one or two reservations, they were the cheapest on the list, and came with extra bulbs. More product for less money? Something must be wrong.There is nothing wrong with these. They are SUPERB.The primary power line is a solid wire bundle, very heavy, very sturdy. The plug as well as the socket on each end are made of a solid robust rubberized plastic. If you don’t need to add an additional string, the female socket has a waterproof cover to seal it shut. The actual bulb drops are well attached, well constructed, and very weathertight. The bulbs (you need 10, it ships with 15) screw in solidly, making it clear NO WATER will get around the metal conductive parts.The bulbs: I expected the 5 extra’s to be needed as a “these will break in shipping so we’ll send more” type application. The first 10 bulbs I installed into the set all worked, none were broken. SUCCESS! I now have five spares in the event the bulbs start burning out.I have been very impressed with these lights and am looking for other places for more decorative lighting. I’d say these are a solid 6 star product both in quality of construction and value per dollar.

Out Of The Box Fail
My FEIT ELECTRIC 72041 30 Foot string lights arrived yesterday from Amazon and I had already prepped with stainless cable to hang them from. I hung a 60′ run ( Two 30′ sections ) of the sockets getting my spacing and set up prior to installing all of the bulbs. Once complete I screwed in the twenty blubs tightly as instructed and plugged them in and NOTHING. None of the twenty bulbs lit up. I double checked my power source and extension cord which confirmed power but no lights. After finding a trouble shooting video on YouTube by someone else that purchased these bulbs I took each bulb out of the socket and adjusted the tab in the fixture to ensure it was making contact with the bulb. One light at a time I had to take them apart and make the manual adjustment to get the bulb to power on. I can understand if one or two of the fixtures needed and adjustment but in this case it was all twenty bulbs to get them to power on. Tells me there are manufacturing problems with these lights. I’ll report back after we use them for a while with another review. Should I have to purchase lights again I would strongly consider purchasing another brand of outdoor string lights as these were faulty out of the box.

Warm white, very sturdy, survived many bad storms. Haven’t been through a Winnipeg winter yet but I’m confident they’ll be fine. Very bright. Possibly too bright if you’re looking for romantic lighting.

At first we thought we had a dud because when we plugged in the strand of lights only one bulb lit up. But then we tightened the bulbs really (really) well, as some of the other reviews suggest, and all the bulbs worked. Looks great! Exactly what we wanted for our outdoor space.

It’s doing what it is ask to do for me. They are installed indoors so not much stress on the wires. Easy enough to install(I used tie wraps) For sure that if they were LED it would be much better but all together they are about 110 watts approximately.

I purchased two strands of lights to go along with an existing strand I already had (same brand from Lowe’s). I put up both strands and when I plugged them in they did not work. I tried multiple outlets, tightening each individual bulb, and still nothing. After reading through the other reviews, I tried lifting up the contact in one of the sockets. The bulb actually worked. I then had to remove every bulb, manually lift the contact in the socket, and put the bulbs back in. In order for each bulb to actually work, I had to screw them in so tightly I thought they were going to break. Definitely not worth the hassle and aggravation. Pay the extra money and buy them from Lowe’s.
