Six games, all quality-of-life upgrades
Okay, confession time: I’ve beat every one of these games in multiple formats and iterations across the few silly decades I have lived on this planet. This pixel remaster is simply an amazing refinement of nostalgic games which are nostalgic because they are good and are good because they were produced with care from the get go. The quality-of-life enhancements are not just remastering in terms of the graphics and font/UI etc., but also options in the setting to have gil and exp multipliers that let the player fine tune some of the difficulty curve of some of the games, which are notorious for having some battles or sidequests that were not perfectly balanced in the originals.I bought this so I could replay any of the games at whim on a rainy day, and I’m glad to say maybe I’ll break it out on sunny days once in a while too.

Final fantasy needs no introduction. Series has been a classic for a long time. The pixel remaster does a fantastic job at giving you an approximate experience to the source material while giving you quality of life changes that doesn’t ruin the original experience. The improved visuals and soundtracks are very pleasing to new and old fans alike. You get a lot in a small collection and should not be slept on.

i don’t know where to start writing this review. i cant put into words how important these games are to video gaming history. this collection includes Final Fantasy 1-6. for those who may not know..in the west, we got Final Fantasy 1 on NES and Final Fantasy 4 and 6 which was released as Final Fantasy 2 and 3 respectively on SNES. i know it’s confusing, but in this collection, the chronological order have been corrected. for those who are younger or never played the originals this information wouldn’t matter, just buy this collection and you’re all set.i have tried out all the games in this collection, all require a very small download around 50mb-120mb. no big deal for me. so all the games seems to be included INSIDE the cartridge. so it’s not like they put 1 game on cart and you have to download the rest of the games, nope, not here, you get ALL games included on cart! good! that’s what i want!! im looking at you capcom!!!i won’t get into how the games are like, it’s orignal Final Fantasy. they need no introduction. this collection are for older fans, this is a no brainer for them, i also urge younger gamers to buy this as well. this are games i will tell people that they MUST play beforre they die. these are games that built the modern JRPG genre that many people love today!! i would also go as far as to say that these games also built up the entire modern video gaming culture that we enjoy today! no one can deny the impact Final Fantasy has had on video games. it’s impact is still felt today. these games are historic, they are pioneers. they are incredible.go buy this collection right now!!there is still some complaints i have w/this collection. no manuals!!! what the heck square!!! these are old school JRPGs and they didn’t think to include some physical goodies like a manual and maps like back in the old days!! all i got are stickers!!! seriously?! square did this collection dirty. they should have honored this collection w/physical goodies like a manual and maps.also, why is this collection $70?! i see no reason for square charging this much! this collection should be $40, $50 tops!! Nostalgic review
I didnt play or own all of these growing up but i did play 4,6 and 5 a little. I love playing them with a physical copy again cause i hate digital only games that can dissaper. I love the update and remaster of the games that improve quality of life touches of the games. Though if they updated the translations i will miss those old translation joked. Worth buying to be able to play on big tv and portable again. Nice simple straightforward rpg

It’s not final, but it’s a fantasy.
I hate that this isn’t definite in any way, because SQEX is cheap.The music and QoL is nice, makes the games rather amazing for what they are. That’s the only reason I’m giving it a 5 star, but personally I’d put it lower. The HD music is a bit much at times, but it’s good listening.They aren’t the most historic versions, and really, they one thing they should’ve done was add voices. Charging a full 75 is also utterly ridiculous.I basically feel that it both is and isn’t a 5.I mean, FF4 has a complete edition on the PSP, which you might as well figure out how to run on your phone, or find the 3D versions. No afterstory for 4 is very dumb.

Great for old and new players. This was everything I ever wanted, all the games are beautiful with the new and improved graphics and music. Gameplay is excellent, they added a bonus optional level up system if you want to breeze through each game if you don’t want to grind through mindless battles to play through the stories.
