A true story from using NT624 Elite scanner:
I purchased this for the “live data” feature and I’m 100% satisfied! I was able to service the transmission on my 2017 BMW 740i.
I was also getting a “reduced driver assistance” error and had no idea where to look. This system directed me to an harness in the front bumper. I then remove the cover and found that the harness wasn’t secured.
I can’t imagine what BMW dealer would have charged me for this simple error. I plugged it back in and the error was gone!

You still have to use the internet to get the meaning of the error codes
I was able to diagnose my car with it to get an error code. However, the unit claim that you do not have to look up the code on the internet is wrong. That claim of not having to look up the code on the internet was why I purchased this unit. Since one still has to look up the codes on the internet, I could have purchased a less expensive unit that does the same thing. Typically I would return a misleading product but I’ll keep it. I did find the unit’s logic hard to follow but then they all are probably that way.Foxwell contacted me and made things right so I have changed my review from 3 stars to 5 stars.

Great tool for the price!
This scanner has already saved me money on its first use.Long story short I purchased this so I could figure out my check engine light on my 09 vibe AWD. My cel was causing my AWD not to work…turns out loads of my codes where fixed by a previous mechanic and that a damaged wire on my downstream O2 sensor was causing off of my remaining issues. Between p0171 and p0137 I narrowed it down with live data as the voltage never changed in the sensor and p0171 can be a by product of p0137 to limit AWD use in some cars.Instead of paying the $150 for an oe brand sensor plus diagnostic and more labor charges through a local shop I bought one online and ended up paying a mobile mechanic to do the install. Light is gone and I watched the voltage go up and down with joy.For the money this thing does a lot. My one gripe is the order of live data seems a bit off with b1s2 being first instead of b1s1 for the O2 sensor but this maybe a weird thing with my car. If you take your time and learn how to read the data you can do a lot of diagnostics with this tool even if codes are not popping up. I do like that you are able to select certain data as well during data streams.While this is not a end all be all tool it can definitely help diy and potentially new talent to the auto repair world w/o dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars on a scan tool in my opinion.

Es una chulada , lo utilize antes de llevar mi auto para saber si pasa la inspección al comienzo me decía que no pasaba porque debía correrlo para que la computadora se reiniciará, pero luego me mostró que mi carro estaba listo y mi inspección paso de una. Updated review:I was not happy with this scanner needing an external power source, but within days of leaving my initial review (below) I was contacted by the company to see what they could do to make things better. I had only tested that the unit got power in my house, never on a car, but without even knowing that, they offered me the option to return it directly to them via a prepaid shipping label, and to process a full refund.THIS IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OF LEGENDS!!!I had missed the return window. 100% my fault. But that didn’t matter to this company. Because I was so unhappy they were willing to take it back and give me a full refund. Amazing. I was completely shocked. And this is why, even though I wasn’t happy with THIS ONE SPECIFIC PRODUCT… I’ll buy from this company again, with complete confidence, because of how I was treated. These people are truly a cut above and deserve your consideration and hard-earned cash.Initial reviewIt has not battery and requires an external power source. On top of that, the connector is an outdated USB mini plug. While a cable of that type is supplied, this is a standard from 2000…. yes, 25 years ago!!!I haven’t used it yet because I’ve been so busy I have not had the time… and now I am past the return window, so I guess someome will get a great deal at my next garage sale.It may have great features, but to not only require you to bring along ANOTHER cable to power it, but then to also use such an outdated connector… WOW. 全部英語です。仮に日本語対応させたところでsensorがセンサーとカタカナ表記になるだけですし(笑)エラーコードの内容も表示されますがメーカーによってはコード番号が異なる可能性があるので最低限ネットで検索するだけのスキルは必要です。取説は紙媒体及びCD-ROMにPDFで収録されていますが、メーカーHPからもDLできます。YouTubeに使用方法も上がってますね。同梱のCD-ROMからファームウェアの更新も出来ます。(2017/08/06の最新版が2017/0703リリースVer2.10)陸送屋で中古車を運んでいた時はほとんどの輸入車が何かしらの警告灯点きっぱなしになってましたので、オーナーさんやユーザー車検代行業者さんなどは役に立つんじゃないでしょうか。2017年2月から警告灯点いてる車は車検通してくれなくなりましたしね(*’ω`*)
