Customers say
Customers find the knife works well as a money clip and appreciate its rigid construction and expected sharpness from Gerber. The design receives positive feedback for its appearance and convenience, though opinions about weight are mixed, with some finding it not too bulky while others consider it too heavy for a money clip. The knife release mechanism is problematic, with customers reporting it’s very difficult to get the knife out.

Exactly what I was expecting so I can’t complain.
Another high quality well made product from Gerber. Unfortunately it’s a badly designed knife coupled with sub par money clip for the soldier of fortune meets James Bond crowd. Not a practical purchase. That being said, if that’s what you’re after this thing is top notch quality wise.

Great as a pocket knife, very minimal as a money clip
I bought this because I like “gadget” or “novelty” type of knives. I never planned on using it as a money clip, that’s why I gave it 5 stars. I wanted it more for the discreet way to carry a pocket knife. Although the entire thing is larger than my current pocket knife, it’s relatively flat and I can barely notice it in my pocket. I’m a dad, so I have need for a pocket knife at least a couple times a week. It seems sturdy. Not particularly sharp, but that’s fixed in about 30 seconds.Overall I love the design. Learning to hold the blade takes a little playing with, but do-able. As a money clip I would say that an ID, 1 or 2 credit cards and 4-5 bills. This comes no where near being big enough for me. If you are a true minimalist you can absolutely use this as a money clip. If you’re part of the other 99% of society, you might just want to buy this as a cool, discrete pocket knife.I’m thinking of buying another for my wife to keep in her purse.

Great idea, meh execution
I like it overall, but the cons are big.Primary issue is the corners on each side of the clip need to be rounded more. I move around a lot so the thin sharp edges are wearing a hole in my pocket.Other issue is if you have a couple credit cards and several bills, or like me several bills folded twice and insert them all the way into the clip, you cannot push the blade release button without sliding them down.Still better than the spring clip I was using, plus a handy utility blade, but still not sure if the the novelty is worth it.Gerber is still my go-to brand for multi-tool and pocket knives, just missed execution on this one by a smidge

DURABLE!!!!
Bought this back in 2017. Still works perfectly fine! No one ever detects the small knife inside.

Holds bills securely even if its only two or three
I bought this because I bought a minimalist wallet that is really only good for cards and such. The clip is good, not too tight. The knife feature is handy if you need to cut off a loose string or something. It is very easy to use

Handy but not great
The clip only a couple cards and the blade is a bit awkward. It was super dull when it arrived. Sharpened it my self but its not easy because the rounded angle of the blade at the point. I will say it’s convenient to have as a pocket knive. And the blade quality is solid as Gerber is pretty well known for a good knife.

Good for what I use it for
I use it to hold my work badge. With just this one card (thickness of about to credit cards) it works. Still able to get the knife in and out.Saying that, if you put more cards, it makes it extremely hard, if not impossible to get the knife out because of the design. Since I only use it for the one, it works for me perfectly.

handy, versatile pocket knife
Most of my adult life I have carried some kind of pocket knife. A pocket knife and a flashlight are two things that can make your everyday life so much easier and having one of each makes me better prepared at all times. When I need to open a package or cut a string or plastic tie, I want to be able to grab a sharp blade, use it, and put it away securely. Often I will already have my hands full at the time, so one-handed operation is important.I bought this money clip knife intending to use it for it’s intended purpose, but soon discovered a variation that works much better for me. Instead of using it as a money clip, I use the clip to attach the kinife to my pants pocket. With the clip on the outside, the knife part is secure inside my pocket. I can access the knife by slipping my thumb inside the pocket, release the blade and remove it in one easy motion. The clip and the rest of the case stay in place. Replacing the blade after use is relatively easy also, though a little bit of practice makes that process go smoother. For putting the knife away, the blade needs to be lined up just right with the case. One important point needs to be stressed here: THIS IS NOT A SELF-DEFENCE KNIFE. I read some comments and questions here from people fantisizing about using this blade against attackers or to defend themselves. DON’T even think about it! It’s not that kind of knife and it would never work for that. This knife will stay handy and secure in my pocket. When I need it, it is easy to withdraw and them put safely away. The blade was very sharp right out of the box but it stays put until I need it.

A great money clip. Substantial, sturdy (heavy enough to feel the quality but no so heavy as to be cumbersome). Nice textured finish rubberised grip on one side and solid steel everywhere else. UK Notes folded twice fit the clip perfectly with no overhang (not sure about £50 notes!). The bade itself is sharp and great to have on you, it’s surprising how often you’ll use a little blade if you have it in your pocket and how handy it is. The blade itself is a bit weird to grip but it’s fine for little chores. The blade is held very securely by the clip, no chance of it coming loose without releasing the catch.Recommended.

Not a real practical item blade doesn’t fit real good in hand
