Good Starter Air Fryer …
I’ve owned several air fryers over the years and I’ve found them to be one of the most used, versatile, and reliable appliances in our kitchen. This glass air fryer is not high-end, but it does have some nice features and it does work well.WHAT YOU GETThis 7.5 quart air fryer is considered on the large end size-wise and should be suitable for family cooking up to 4 people. This air fryer has an approximate 12″ x 12″ base and is about 10.25″ tall. The 7.5 quart basket is mostly glass with a built-in plastic handle. In addition to the appliance, you get a circular silicone oven pad, frying grate, an oven glove, tongs, and an instruction manual. The fryer comes in 3 color options: light pink, mint green, and white.PERFORMANCEAll the air fryers I’ve owned had the fryer functions on the front of the unit; this air fryer has everything on the top. The unit operates pretty simply with soft touch buttons. The top row has 5 cooking presets (including a manual mode). There are separate buttons underneath the blue LED temp/time display to customize cooking time/temp and start/stop the air fryer. While presets are nice, I’ve never used them and prefer to custom tailor my own cooking temps and times. This air fryer simply covers the basics; the max temp is 400 degrees and max cook time is 60 min; there is no specified broiler function or other bells-and-whistles. The appliance is fairly quiet when in operation, in fact, quieter than most I’ve owned. The biggest plus with this air fryer in my opinion is the thick glass frying “basket”. The inside lights up when the fryer is on and you can actually see what is being cooked. The glass also stays hotter longer than the thin metal baskets of most air fryers, but requires longer preheating. Another nice benefit of the glass basket is that it is much easier to clean … and you can even put it in the dishwasher. The downside is the basket is pretty heavy and stays hot, so you need to take special care when removing it after cooking. The only downside is that simply making toast takes too long.Overall, this is a solid air fryer that looks good on a countertop (the color options are not loud/obnoxious), it functions well and is super easy to clean. I let my daughter take it with her when she went back to college and she loves it. I think this is a great starter air fryer that admirably covers the basics.

Glass Air Fryer
I have never had a Glass Air Fryer so it took a minute to get used to how it cooked. This does not come with an insert to raise the food from any drippings/juice/Sause or grease. I felt at first it took longer to cook but when I did a side by side with my old air fryer it cooked the same time. It is easy to use and clean, along with cooking food evenly with the crisp that you desire. (You do have to cook food longer if you want extra crispy, but it definitely gets the food crispy) This is well worth the price and it has become the new go to cooking appliance in our home.

Worth $200? Maybe.
This is a BIG air fryer. We’ve have the tub style ones and currently also have a Ninja stacked 2 drawer air fryer. We use it daily for the last couple years. This is the first one we’ve had with a glass basket. The glass is HEAVY…unexpectedly heavy, which is impressive. Think of a Pyrex dish, except thicker. Kind of nice to actually see how the food is coming along without having to open the drawer and lose heat and cook time – I really like that part.It does cook well. I think if you’re looking for lower temp cooks it’ll work better. The 400 degree cooks probably won’t be as good just because it’s such a large basket and I’m not sure the top edges seal as well as the Ninja and other brand we’ve had, which means it doesn’t lock heat as well. What you see in the basket is one potato, crinkle cut. I tried used the suggest fry setting, which was 360 for 20 minutes. I had to dial it up and increase the time by like 10 minutes to get them crispy at all. I did try it again (off camera) and started at 400 for 20 minutes. I also was careful to cut them smaller and thinner. This worked a lot better but they weren’t TOTALLY crispy like I would have expected after 20 minutes. Definitely good though.I think this thing would shine for large pieces of chicken, baking and just overall large items. I’ll probably be setting everything to 400 degrees though because if I’m using an air fryer I usually want it crispy.Couple annoying control issues. The default temp for custom is like 310. Wish is was 400 so I didn’t have to hit the button a bunch of times to set it. Also, once you start it….you can’t add time or change the temp, you have to kill the cook and start all over from scratch. You should DEFINITELY be able to at least hit the button to add minutes to the cook without turning off and on.At $200, this is nearly the top end of air fryers price-wise. That makes a little hesitant honestly, since it’s a random Amazon brand, not sure how it will hold up over time or how customer service would be for any major issues. Overall the quality seems very good, but I’m thinking this needs to be in the $150-ish range of appliances. If I’m spending top end money, I want top end brands and results – which is my main reason for dropping a star.
