Truly fantastic if you want to elevate your TV entertainment experience
I have purchased a Govee bluetooth thermometer so I’m not new to the Govee family, however this is my first lighting purchase from them. I have other generic “when the tv comes on, the LED strip turns on” LED strips on another TV that just turn on and white when the TV has power. These Govee ones are many many steps above those!First is the quality of the strips themselves – you can tell R&D was put into these. They aren’t cheap & flimsy. The sticky backing stays securely on the strip. They are very high quality.What I think truly sets this apart from others is the app/ability to customize and control the LED strip. Want to turn the LED strip off? No problem. Touch of a button on the app. Want to change colors? No problem. Easily found & changed in the app. What I REALLY thought was cool was how other people can create cutom LED colors/settings that YOU can then apply to your own LED light strip. (Since we just got through with Christmas, someone had created a Red & Green led animation that certainly added a Christmas/Holiday vibe to whatever room the TV/led strip was in).Installation takes 5-10 minutes, including setup with the app on your phone. Had no issues at all and ended up liking them so much I purchased a few more just because the price was SO good.

These are incredible!
I’ll start by saying that I’m almost 39 and buy off Amazon weekly for as long as I can remember and don’t think I have ever left a review for anything. Seriously. But I applied these last night (very easy to apply by the way) and they are so awesome and cool that I felt compelled to leave a review. I bought them originally wanting to elevate the designer type feel in my home and wanting more of a white backlight. But when I turned them on and there was color behind them I was shocked by how hooked I got with all of the colors and color schemes. The app is insane! It transformed my TV experience and quite frankly my living room which I’ve done over in mostly black and white – it looks killer and rocks when you have a nice sound system to hear too. I love it – awesome buy for a great deal. If anything becomes a con, I’ll come back and adjust but for now, big fan for this price.

Overall worth it
Product overall is great! The lights and lighting options are better than expected and bright and vibrant! Only downside is the sticky part comes off with the cover so be careful doing it. Sticky part works well when you do though! It cane with backup option under the parts in the box so empty the package totally! Overall i recommend it a lot!

Incredible Lights with just a few minor drawbacks
Overall, these lights are terrific. They light up the living space with vibrant colors and bright effects. The RGBIC feature was something I didn’t know I wanted, but now I can’t live without. Especially in combination with other Govee lights, these strips bring some amazing ambiance and life to a room.The strips themselves, as others have mentioned, are overall good, but have some flaws.First, the good: I love that the strips are black so they don’t clash with the color of the TV. Also the dedicated corner wires make it so you don’t have to deal with the confusion on how to twist the strip around corners without breaking them, so that’s a big plus. I have a 55in TV and these fit around the back rim perfectly.The major flaw comes in the adhesive. This can really be hit or miss. For example, 3/4’s of my strip had good ahesive that has stayed secure for months now. However, out of the package, the last 1/4th of the strip had very little to no adhesive at all and could not hold itself up. Fortunately, Govee rectifies this by including some dedicated mounting brackets, so I was able to use them to finish mounting the strip. It would be better if the mounting brackets were colored black instead of white so the colors don’t clash, but functionally they get the job done where the adhesive fails.Despite that, the lights and the many patterns are great. The app itself to control the lights can be finicky, but after taking a few minutes to walk through the app, you’ll find the basic functions. I wish that there was a way to slow down some of the light patterns, as some of them are extremely fast moving.Overall, I would highly recommend these lights. They are affordable, versatile, and have a wide variety of features. The adhesive can be hit or miss, but regardless, these lights are terrific.

Really like addition. Gives a great glow to room. Infinitely customizable with app. Don’t use modes so much as find distracting in movies. App is great . Links in with my google home. Easy low cost add… no issues with tape or other. Wiped tv back with alcohol and stuck well…. Definitely recommend.

I’ve tried a few lights for the tv and this one is by far the best quality for the price. Easy to set up and connect to your Google home or whatever smart hub you choose. Many prebuilt themes and it’s super easy to create your own

The LED strip does not stick on the greatest near corners, nor do the support clips. Also there is some sort of glitch where I cannot turn on the lights via Alexa, but can turn them off via Alexa??? Other than that they add great ambiance to your room and the lighting possibilities are endless.
