Very handy measuring wheel for taking measurements on anything from straight to curved objects. Very handy and easy to use and fits in your pocket or can attach to a keychain with the leather lanyard and case you can buy.

This digital tape measure is great, I like the compact size and how easy it makes measuring curves. Works great for my DIY projects around the house.

Impractical
I like this thing. The build quality is great! But there are some questionable design choices, like the metal keyring piece coming all the way off – which you have to remove it in order to charge the device. That’s just asking for it to get lost. I would make the metal bit non-removable and try to fit the charging port elsewhere.Also I see it as kind of impractical – You need to be very precise when using it. The roller has to stay perfectly parallel with what you’re measuring, which is hard when you have shaky hands like me, or you have poor motor skills. If you turn it at all, your measurement is screwed up.Some say the UI is weird and confusing. To me, it’s really not. Two buttons, and the wheel, which you don’t need to use for navigation. One of them is a ‘select’ button, and one navigates the menus & changes the measuring mode. You can swap the functions of these two buttons in the settings menu.You can also convert a measurement you just took, by going back up to the unit selector and changing it to the one you’re looking for. Inches, millimeters, centimeters, feet, feet+inches, etc. Plenty of choices.Personally I don’t have a reason to use the scale feature, but I see how it could be useful.

Step one: Lose that gray ring part
Well of course I lost that stupid ring before I even turned it on. For real, I pulled it off to charge it and Poof! Gone.Why, what did you do with it?Where do I buy the gray part that needs to be fully detached in order to charge the device? Anybody? Bueller?It’s pretty accurate. VERY accurate, actually. Scrolling through the menus could be smoother. All in all, it’s a nice little rig. Well, aside from that bad decision to feature a fully removable cover for the charge port. That’s just silly with a small device like this.

On the plus side this is a compact and handy measing device for rough calculations. It is easy to charge by removing the handle and plugging in a USB-C cable.It takes a couple of hours to charge it fresh out of the box and has a long use time before needing to be recharged.For general use, ie, measuring a kitchen unit, space between two items, overall size of something. then it’s very useful.It’s a handy liitle device to take to a store to take measurements. It fits easily on a key ring or just in a pocket or bag.It also has a dedicated phone app that, once linked, keeps a record of measurements taken, so no need to carry a notepad and pencil.Where is falls down is in those occasions when more accurate measurements are needed.Making a cut for a shelf to fit in a specific , was not accurate as was the cut mark for a length of copper water pipe.By it’s very design I would have expect a laser to give a more accurate measurement.This wil not replace the need for a basic tape measure.I aslo found turning the thing on and getting it set up was difficult and frustrating. I lost count of the number of times I had to stop and start again trying to get the right settings.Sometimes it was just easier to get out my old trusty tape measure, it was quicker, easier and reliable to user, the only thing it doesn’t do is connect to the app, so I still need a paper and pencil, but that’s no great hardship.So all things considered, especially taking the cost of this, if you want a quick roughish measurement then this does the job, however, if you need a bit of presision then it’s not so reilable.

This is surprisingly good and accurate.Just place it over a surface and roll the little wheel to measure anything you want.It can even measure the distance between corners and you can have different measuring units.It’s super tiny too so you can have it with you wherever you go.
