Great Tablet! Great Price
Huion New 1060 PLUS 10 x 6.25 Inches Graphics Drawing Pen Tablet with 8192 Levels Pen Pressure 8GB SD Card 12 Express Keys – Upgraded VersionGreat Tablet! Great Price!First things first. I do not work for Huion. They did not send this tablet to me for my review. I bought it from Amazon. so, what you are about to read is my opinion, reaction to, and assessment of this tablet. As a rule I don’t usually review the products I buy. However, in this case I find using this tablet meets my needs so well I decided to make an exception. This is my third tablet and, by far, the best. The other two were smaller, cost more, and did not have the features this one has.It arrived on time and in good condition. A good packing job by both Huion and Amazon got it here in good condition. In the box I received the tablet, a USB cable for the tablet, a pen, a pen charging cable, a pen holder with 8 replacement nibs and a nib puller stored inside, a glove, a bag to store/carry the tablet in, and it came with an 8MB micro SD card. The SD card has the drivers and the manual loaded on. The tablet is very solid and looks like it will last quite some time if taken care of. As mentioned, the SD card has the drivers loaded on. Opening the driver reveal access to directions for setting up the 12 shortcut buttons located along the left side and the 16 soft keys located along the top. The 10 X 6.2 inch work area is plenty large. This tablet will easily serve the needs of the beginner to the more advanced user. It will even make a great backup tablet for the professional.Pressure sensitivity is also adjusted inside the driver. I found that using the pen on the working area was very smooth and the pressure sensitivity worked just as it should. Lines tapered on and off just as they should and there was absolutely no lag in the lines keeping up with the pen movement. The pen also has two buttons on it that can be programmed. I have not seen a need to change any of the settings. This tablet does not come with a stand, wireless, or a work area protection sheet. However, when you consider the price and what you get for that price, it is easy to overlook the fact that you don’thave these things. I made a very sturdy, angled stand for mine in about 30 minutes. I keep mine covered when not in use and wear the glove when working, so I really have no need for the protective sheet. As far as wireless goes, I usually have my tablet right in front of or just to the right of the monitor, so wireless is not a big deal to me.I found Huion Customer Service to be first rate. I posted a question to them and they got back to me within three hours. I had not insstalled the latest driver so I needed to get the latest one. In that short period of time, they answered my question and I was up and running.I would gladly recommend this tablet to anyone who is looking for great features, ease of use, and a tablet with durability and ease of use built in.

Worth the $$$
After using this particular tablet for a couple of months now, and being an owner of the more expensive WACOM 21″ LCD drawing screen and their very early 12″x12″ tablet, I felt I am qualify to make an educated assessment of this product.Pros-THE PRICE!!! I have tried tablets from various vendors other than WACOM a few years ago and found them all lacking in all categories. But now, the products being made are much, much better to the point that that they are nearly compatible with what WACOM could offer. WACOM had the monopoly on digital tablets for the longest time and they knew it too, thus the very hefty prices they demanded. Being professional graphic designers for over two decades, I could not but have to shell out the price for WACOM products, until now.The drawing surface was very comfortable to draw on, and also because of the large real estate it offers. The rechargeable pen is also a joy to use too, though not as slim as the WACOM, I found the fatter body felt much more comfortable and I could use it much longer- hours on end!The overall thickness of this tablet was also very easy and comfortable to use, sitting butted up against the front edge of my laptop, with my right hand drawing with the pen while my left hand punch out the quick keys on the keyboard for the likes of Photoshop and Illustrator, etc.And once again, the price!!! With so many sellers online here, take your time shopping for the best deal with the most bells and whistles they would offer! The Cons-I have to admit, the precision is not 100% as commanded by WACOM products but hey, for this price, 99% accuracy on pixels is more than enough for me, a worthwhile tradeoff for the price! Besides, with the ability to zoom in with any graphic programs, I need to worry little on how precise I need to get. On a side note, I have to admit that I missed the nearly 1000th of an inch zoom of CorelDraw as opposed to the zoom limits of the Adobe products.I found that loop on the right side designed to hold the pen in place very lacking. Maybe it was just my particular tablet but it was simply a section of black ribbon, with no elasticity whatsoever, so the pen would simply slip out with no resistance whatsoever. I have found myself initially slipping the pen into that loop and proceeded to put the tablet into the included spandex-like bag only to find the pen has slipped out and dropped onto the floor in the process- very frustrating; I simply ignore that piece of ribbon and pretend it’s not there anymore. I wish they could have used some elastic material instead. And the cap of the pen was also very loose, it comes off at the most inopportune time and never stays in place. I would recommend the manufacturer use a rubber material that would cap the pen more snugly; I know for sure that I will lose that cap soon or later!Though I initially programmed all those function keys on the left side of the tablet, I soon found myself resetting the top ones back to no function as it was very easy to accidentally hit them and changing whatever drawing tools I would be using. It was far easier for me to simply use the keyboard for programmed hot key strokes. Then again, I never really use any of the function keys on any of my WACOM products too, maybe that’s just my preference. The pen-activated programmable ‘keys’ along the top edge were pretty useless! Once again, I could simply use my left hand on the keyboard instead of dragging my pen away from the drawing surface, to reach up to that line of hot spots just to activate certain functions and then, whipping the pen down to the exact spot where I was drawing last, thus breaking whatever continuity of creating- very counter productive I feel.Overall-I would readily recommend this tablet for pretty much anyone, unless you got your company to pay for a WACOM and not out of your own pocket. Finally, instead of buying those ‘special’ drawing tablet finger gloves, I simply buy myself some very inexpensive dark brown/black cotton utility gloves from dollar stores and cut off the tips of the thumb and two fingers; each such pair would last me a long while and when they get very dirty or the edge frayed too much, I would simply throw them away and use the next pair; at less than a dollar a pair, I could get a whole bunch for what they asked for those special gloves!Well, folks, these are simply my opinions, I hope these would help you decide on the purchase and venture into letting your creativity loose!Update-I purchased the 15″ MacBook sleeve for less than $10, as I bring the tablet with me often to local coffee shops to work on, I needed extra protection inside my backpack; it was of heavy felt construction and quit adequately protect the tablet. Initially, it was a snug fit but over time, I am sure the tablet would slip in easily. The sleeve also has one large slit pocket and two smaller ones in the back, wonderful to store the pen, USB and pen charging cables nicely. I also put the extra pen tips in a small plastic zip bag before putting them inside one of the small pocket.

Amazing drawing tablet
I got this for myself as my first drawing tablet coming from traditional and I can say that this is a very good tablet for beginners and intermediate artist, it is very large just about the same size as my laptop so it fits in a backpack, the pen can be stored on the loop on the side of the tablet as well, so despite its large size it is very portable, the software works great too, the pressure curves are adjustable and you can remap all the buttons as well as change the size and screen mapping, it also comes with an adapter to work with USB c instead of micro USB and is compatible with Android phones on certain apps, also included in the box is a vertical pen holder which also contains several replacement nibs, overall great size and value no complaints

Having never used a graphics tablet before I tried my daughters Huion 580. I loved it but found the drawing area to be too small. I then Bought the HUION 1060 PLUS. This is much bigger and the drawing area can be adjusted using the downloadable software. The addition of the rechargeable pen is a massive plus and so far I have not had to recharge after the initial setup. (Getting on for 3 months, daily use, about 3 hours per day)The Tablet surface itself is nice and smooth, it is not rough like some others I’ve seen since buying this, and it makes for a nice easy glide with the pen. The pen does feel a little chunky in your hand to begin with, but after using it for a while, I have become accustomed to it. The pen pressure range is really good. I have used this tablet and pen with Photoshop and MediBang Paint Pro and it does well with both, however, the presets and some functionality seem geared specifically for Photoshop. The downloadable software will let you change some of the tablets hotkeys and other settings though. The Hotkeys themselves are very useful. Once you have them set to the shortcuts or keystrokes that you need, for example, “Brush Tool Selector” or “Eraser Tool Selector” possibly even “Brush Size Plus or Minus” etc. You get the idea. Some of these are pre-set, others you can please yourself. The one downside of the Hotkeys is their colour. I found it difficult at times to see them clearly against the surrounding of the tablet. I ended up putting little stickers on with icons of the shortcuts to remind myself what key did what. There are also some “Soft keys” at the top but I have never used them as this would mean cutting down on the drawing area.All-in-all this is a great graphics tablet at a great price. Is it going to be as fancy as the top end Wacom products, NO, but it isn’t going to hold you back either if you want to touch up your photos or create some digital drawings or even start your own Manga series.Would I recommend it, Yes I would. If you are looking to get a Graphics tablet but aren’t sure yet on how they work and don’t want to fork out mega bucks, get one of these. Once you get over the first few little hurdles you will be glad you did.

Consigliata.
