Absolutely LOVE This Toaster/Air Fryer Combo!
This Instant Pot 6-Slice Toaster Air Fry Combo has quickly become one of our most-used kitchen appliances. We originally bought it to replace our old toaster, but it’s turned into a total game-changer for family dinners, too.For mornings, it toasts bagels perfectly—crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside, and it fits multiple at once which is amazing when we’re trying to get everyone fed and out the door. No more fighting over who gets the first bagel. At night, we use it constantly for quick meals. It reheats leftovers way better than a microwave, and the air fry function works beautifully for chicken, veggies, and even frozen appetizers. We’ve done roasted salmon, crispy wings, and garlic bread all in the same week and everything came out evenly cooked and surprisingly delicious. The preheat time is basically nonexistent, cleanup is easy, and it doesn’t take up as much counter space as having multiple separate appliances. If you’re on the fence—just get it. It’s fast, versatile, and has totally simplified our weeknight dinners and our breakfast routine. Highly, highly recommend!

    Great Toaster Oven
Been using new oven for 2 weeks. It reaches set temperature very quickly. Appears that heating is mostly from radiant heating from upper heating elements the glows red hot. So it behaves somewhat like a toaster. For roasting, sometimes it would be better to keep food from getting too close to the glowing elements. Put food on lower shelf for more even heating.Controls are in logical and simple arrangement. Operation can be entirely from pushing and turning one large dial, together with 3 touch pads just above.

first one threw out flames, replacement is good so far
Experience with the first one:As soon as I plugged it in, it would set off my GFCI without even turning the unit on. There obviously was some sort of short in the circuitry. Against my better judgement, I tried plugging it on a circuit that doesnt have a GFCI and it powered on. However as soon as I turned the toaster heating elements on, there was a loud pop and a fireball that came out the back of the unit… needless to say I never plugged it in again. The reason I have 1 star knocked off is because I promptly emailed the InstantPot support explaining in detail everything I experienced. However even now after 11 days, I havent even received a confirmation of my inquiry. This was super disappointing because InstantPot is a pretty big, or at least well-known, company. The fact that I havent even received acknowledgement of my inquiry, let alone some sort of contact with a support agent, gives me concern about any warranty claims I might have in the future. After a few days with no response, I decided to request a replacement through Amazon which went through without a hitch. The rest of this review is on the replacement unit I received. This combo toaster oven is replacing my Panasonic FlashXpress Infrared toaster which I absolutely adored and used well for over 7 years. The only reason I’m replacing it is because the buttons are starting to crap out and a replacement circuit board costs as much as a new toaster. This is also replacing a random Costco air fryer I’ve been using. Overall I’m happy with the replacement, but it isnt perfect.Things I like (+) and dislike (-) about this unit:+ infrared heating element – the reason I loved my FlashXpress is the even toasting that infrared heating can achieve. This unit combines two infrared heating elements on the top and a traditional heating element on the bottom to allow for different types functionalities in a single unit. The infrared heating has performed just as well as the FlashXpress+ compact size – it takes about the same counter space as the FlashXpress it’s replacing however I can get rid of my airfryer so it is essentially halving the counter space utilized. It does take more vertical space which is not a problem for me.+ 7-in-1 – so much versatility. I’ve primarily used toast, air fry and bake and the oven has performed well. I’m still getting used to timing things but it has been a good experience so far- analog timing – i liked being able to set the time using a digital interface where I can specify minutes and seconds. Since this uses a dial for the timer, anything less than 5 minutes doesnt feel precise since there are no minute markers.- The metal arm that connects the door of the unit to the body rubs up against the metal slot it goes through. I noticed this on both units. The metal arm isnt centered so you get metal on metal scraping which doesnt feel or sound great. It really diminishes the sense of quality as a whole. However the rest of the unit feels pretty good.

    Easy to clean
This is specifically for the 6 slice air fryer/toaster oven: 5 stars for being so easy to clean. I’ve used it half a dozen times and it still looks brand new. One pizza dripped grease all over the crumb tray and it washed off with no scrubbing. All of the functions I’ve tried so far work well, but it will take some experimenting to find the best temp/time. I’ve found that this machine requires slightly more time or higher temps than air fryer directions on prepackaged food. The only thing I dislike so far is the machine beeps every couple of minutes when the door is open. That’s a minor annoyance compared to the ability to clean.
