Great alternate to Hue
I had two Hue bulbs fail in the last week. They are insanely expensive so I went in this direction. I’m already a TP-Link/Kasa device owner and love them. Sockets, switches, cameras and sensors all work great. These connect easily with the Tapo app. Great range of brightness and color range. Hoping these last a while. The price was excellent and all my other TP/Kasa products are sturdy and reliable. This is a very affordable option if you want LED lights with color options and remote control. Give them a try.

Smart bulbs are a fun little novelty and these bulbs are also connected to Alexa and you can tell her to dim the lights or change the color of the light. Not a necessity but a whole lot of fun.

Much Better than My Previous Smart Bulbs…..
These lights are better than the Sengled light I had. These are easier to set up in the App and link with Alexa fast, and they respond to commands quicker. They seem a little slow to dim, but that might just be me. I don’t use the colors very often, but they are nice. The color temperatures are spot on, and I like to change those up as the day goes on to reduce the stress on my eyes. Bottom Line: They are functionally better than the Sengled, and I hope they are at least as durable as the Sengled. I will buy more.

Once set up they work perfect!
These Kasa bulbs were more difficult to set up than the Tapo set. With the Tapos, Alexa recognized them right away. With these Kasas, I had to download the app, connect to the wifi, assign a name for the bulb and room location and wait for Alexa to recognize them (which took 3 tries). But thankfully, after all of that, connections are fine with Alexa and the bulbs turn on/off and change colors upon demand!! This technology is both challenging and amazing!! 😀

I especially like the different shades of white through the day if you set them to adjust with the time.Tried other bulbs w Alexa and they either didn’t work at all or had to be reconnected all the time. What a pain!I definitely recommend these as smart bulbs for use with Alexa but…The first several bulbs I purchased, I checked the box at checkout to link them to my Amazon/Alexa and bam! They setup immediately with Alexa. I didn’t have to use the manufacturer’s app.However, I bought another set, checked the same box at checkout, and they did not connect using Alexa.So I downloaded the manufacturer’s app and set one up and it broke the connection with all the previous bulbs and Alexa. I couldn’t even delete the original ones from the Alexa app.So I…-Disabled the skill from the manufacturer’s app within Alexa-Set up all the bulbs using the manufacturer’s app-Deleted the Alexa app from my phone and reinstalled it (don’t worry, everything is still there once you log in)-Re-enabled the skill in the Alexa appAll the lights showed up in the Alexa app again. Everything was good in the Alexa app as far as routines and everything else, except the lights. I had to re-add the lights to the existing routines.So I would suggest setting up the bulbs in the manufacturer’s app FIRST and enable the skill in the Alexa app.I hope this is helpful 🙂

Bright, local network control, okay setup
These bulbs are bright. They also have 100% local network control. That is most important these days apart from it being a light source. I cannot stress enough how great it is there is no hub, and it is independently controllable from the local network. This needs to be the standard, apart from Matter. If I had to pick something to critique, it could be the setup. The device is already broadcasting its own network, why not make a simple captive portal to connect it to the WiFi? I understand most will use the Kasa app, but it would be nice to have a captive portal. The local network access is an advertised feature. Regardless, I’m quite happy with these bulbs.

These connect much better and quicker than our previous ones, and they disconnect a lot less frequently. Overall a good value, bulbs could be brighter though. These are definitely just ambient light, not something you’d do any work by. The colour variations are good, app is easy to use, they work well with alexa. They do randomly disconnect, which is frustrating, but definitely not as much as other brands we’ve tried.

Instala la skill smartthings en Alexa11. Reconoce los dispositivos12.
