    ATLUS! You Really Outdid Yourself!
I’ve been a huge fan of Atlus’ games for years and this felt like the style of Persona, the gameplay and difficulty of Shin Megami Tensei, in the setting of a Dragon Quest game. Within the first few hours of gameplay, it became clear that Atlus learns and gets better with each release and presented an almost flawless game. The graphics and art style is gorgeous, super fun gameplay, you can tweak your characters to your heart’s delight, and the soundtrack is AMAZING. As for the story itself, it’s pace flowed nicely with plenty of heartwarming and heartbreaking scenes filled with fun plot twists. It’s my pick for GOTY.

If you like Persona, give it a shot.
I’m a huge fan of the Persona games, and a lot of that has to do with the setting- they take place near the current day as far as tech and social issues go.So going into Metaphor, I was kind of bummed that this was a high fantasy, medieval-ish kind of game. There are just so many of those, especially in the anime space. Never appealed to me personally. After playing this for ~30 hours however, it is fantastic. Even with the setting, this game sheds light on some very current issues with the world, just from a different perspective. The art style is fantastic, and there are some really neat details if you take the time to look at things. I particularly enjoy how the textures on character models are animated even when sitting still, as if the artist is sketching/adding lines in real time. The soundtrack, voice acting, and gameplay are fantastic as well.Overall, Metaphor feels like a perfect evolution of the Persona series. Much of the base gameplay is taken from Persona, with the social links and time management, but it is fine-tuned in a way that makes it feel a bit different but still very enjoyable. Give it a shot, even if you don’t enjoy high fantasy settings.

    A fun RPG
Been wanting to try an Atlus RPG for a while and figured now was as good a time as any. My biggest concern going in was the time management mechanic seen previously in the Persona series, but so far it hasn’t been a problem. I usually tackle the core objectives early and I’m left with plenty of spare time to develop character bonds and wrap up side quests until the next objective is given. One early recommendation is to escape/retry enemy encounters if the enemies land the first hit as even on the easy difficulty it will leave you on the back foot for the rest of that encounter. To give a comparison, the combat is similar to the job system from final fantasy 5 so the overall challenge is more dependent on finding which classes/moves are most effective in a given area zone/dungeon. Don’t want to spoil too much so I’ll just say that its a fun time with beautiful visuals, a great story, and a surprisingly flexible battle system. Would recommend.

The gameplay is really enjoyable and gets you addicted to this game in no time! There are various difficulty options that you can pick, so even if you’re new to RPGs, you should be able to enjoy this game to the max. This game easily gets a 9.5/10 for me.

“Heroism lies in the soul that stands firm against its fears.”
After seeing the reveal almost 2 years ago and keeping up with a lot of the trailers I can say this game does not disappoint in the slightest. I am a huge fan of developer Atlus’ games, with Persona 5 Royal being my favorite game of all time, so I was going in with high expectations and somehow this game managed to surpass all of them in virtually every single aspect. The visuals and art are unmatched, the gameplay is fun and stylish and the story is unlike no others. It is a worthy purchase filled to the brim with content and a metanarrative that is sure to stick with you for life. Metaphor has one of the most poetic and profound messages in all of gaming, and it is not afraid to tackle themes like racism and inequality , and it does so in very smart ways. It has a message rooted within the ideals of a just society, and it is a must play for any JRPG fan, or RPG fan in general.Do not miss out on this game.

    Amazing Game and story.
Amazing turn based Jrpg. This game hooked me instantly, Its all the good parts from the persona series, in a new package. Do know what your are in for though. It is alot of story, if you are the type the just skips through story parts, this probably is not for you, it is half the game, but if your like that, and want alot of complicated systems, that work together well, this game is spot on.

    Fantasy Setting “Persona”
This game is a lot like the Persona games, but it’s set in a fantasy realm. I think, if I were to ever change one thing about the Persona games, it’s that it’s set in modern day.The plot is great. The characters are believable, and I got caught up in the gameplay and how fun it was. It’s a great addition to the JRPG line-up from ATLUS.

Great game and hope to see a sequel
Enjoyed this game. Def happy I bought it from Amazon for $50 instead of paying $70 for it. I enjoyed the story and love the gameplay and battle system. My only complaint is that the game runs really long. It’s got about an 80 hour standard playtime and you just likely won’t finish everything on your first playthrough.

This is one of the best game you could get among games that released in 2024. No Atlus and their hit series Persona fans should miss out on this.Great music, story, and gameplay. Only negative thing I could think of is somewhat meh graphic compared to other current gen games, as it uses their own graphic engine from Catherine, but that does not mean it is ugly to look at.I strongly suggest you to try this game if you have not yet.
