Customers say
Customers find the coffee maker makes excellent coffee and is super simple to use, considering it good value for money. However, the functionality and durability receive mixed reviews – while some say it works well and lasts, others report it stops working and breaks down after less than 4 years. Additionally, the auto shut off feature is a concern, as customers note the pot doesn’t automatically turn off.

It’s Perfect
It has one job- to make a pot of coffee. It has only two settings- on and off. It’s perfect.Buckle up buddy because this is a love letter to the most utilitarian device ever created by mankind. I’m talking about optimal efficiency, intuitive design and user workflow, and zero interface/features bloat. This particular Mr. Coffee machine is perfect, full stop. It has one job and it does it flawlessly every. single. time. You choose your coffee. You put in the grinds. You fill it with water. You get the exact coffee you want. The machine features one solitary button- a toggle to turn it on and off. When turned on, it makes coffee. Add more water, get more coffee. When turned off, it stops making coffee. That being said, this machine is for giga brained people who can handle the responsibility of manually turning an appliance on and off. There is no A.I. or software to argue with. There are no options to search through. There isn’t a keypad to input settings or built-in wifi to connect to an app. There isn’t a bluetooth speaker in the base. There is no Alexa, Siri, Roku, Rufus, or Dingus jabroni shoe-horned into the thing. It is a dumb device which makes it *one of the safest, smartest device available* in 2025.This is a cheaply made, plastic appliance, that will last longer than your next graphics card. By being designed and built with an “Occam’s Razor” philosophy, this machine routinely outlasts more expensive and sophisticated models simply by having less things that can break. The actual value you get from this $40 purchase is unmatched. You will spend thousands of dollars on coffee beans before you need to spend another $40 on a new Mr. Coffee machine. And you will purchase this exact model again. After using this model for a week you will become irate at the mere sight of other coffee machines. You will look in disgust at the obscene amount of knobs and buttons and you’ll point and laugh as you righteously sneer “That coffee machine has an LCD screen!” because you are right- it is absurd. You have finally found Truth in the new millennium. Sip your coffee. Gulp it. Make more. Just don’t forget to turn it off… or completely empty the pot before filling with water again XD

Inexpensive, no frills, brews good coffee
Works great, brews a good tasting cup of coffee, yet very inexpensive, use it every day, seems to last too, yet is inexpensive.

A great basic coffee maker
I bought this to replace a nearly identical Mr Coffee maker that was 10 years old that I used daily. This coffee maker is:1) easy to clean;2) should last a long time due to its simple design;3) no annoying clock that, let’s be honest, will just blink 12:00 endlessly;4) idiot-proof for someone like me who brews a pot at 5:00 am while still half-asleep with the iq of a room-temp potato.

Why did Mr. Coffee remove left hand markings?
I have used this brand and model of Mr. Coffee for decades. It’s simple and works. After years of faithful service, the switch on my old one failed, so I recently replaced it. It happens; no big issue.BUT: For the first time ever, the carafe no longer has cup measurement markings to the right of the handle. I only have the use of my left hand. When filling the pot, I can not see the measurements to the left of the handle; they are hidden by my left hand. Why, Mr. Coffee, are you making it difficult to use for those of us who aren’t right-handed?

Basic simple and long lasting
So in my humble opinion, coffee pots shouldn’t be as expensive as some of them are. Pour water over the coffee grounds and into a pot with a heating element under it. With that being said I have seen some coffee pots run in the Easley over $100 range. Now okay I understand if you want to have a clock involved so it can start your coffee for you, that’s fine and I’m sure that’ll cost a couple extra dollars, and if you want something really nice and prestigious looking because you care what your guests think about what you’ve spent on random items then yeah drop a hundred bucks on a nice one maybe it’s stainless steel or something and has a good company logo on the front of it.Personally, I’m not that difficult. I get up in the morning I push the button on this thing and by the time I get out of the shower I’ve got a nice hot pot of coffee waiting for me and life is good. The only thing I wish this had and this is only because my previous pot did have this option is that if you don’t turn this off it’ll just stay on all day and you really don’t want to cook that empty pot all day. There is a light on the button so if you’re leaving the house and the light is still on yeah you might want to shut this off. And honestly after a couple weeks I got into the habit of making sure I shut it off as I picked up the pot to pour my coffee so it hasn’t really been an issue, it was only a problem for a week or two because like I said my previous pot automatically shut off so I got lazy and just let it do its thing. So anyway, if you’re just looking for something to make your coffee, and you don’t really want to spend $50 or $100, I’ve had this for quite a while now and it works great. I do have well water which has a lot of extra minerals and crap in it so I do find myself doing a 50% vinegar solution which you pretty much need to do with any coffee pot from time to time but in my case a little more often… And other than that, I expect this thing’s going to last me a few more years.

Very simple and easy to use.
Very reliable, easy to use and clean coffee maker. I love that in it has just an on/off switch to operate it. I have been using this style of coffee maker for many years without any issues. I have tried other brands at times but always come back to this model. I hate that it is getting harder to find this style. Seems everyone wants to sell the models with timers, clocks, etc. They don’t make the coffee taste any better.

Execelente producto. Cumple con lo que menciona, hemos buscando está marca en la ciudad en dónde vivimos y nadie la vende asà que decidimos pedirla por internet y toda la familia está feliz con ella. Llegó incluso antes de lo esperado.

If it worked properly the coffee machine wouldn’t be that bad. It is bulky, made of cheap plastic, unattractive, but it does the job for the most part. Condensation builds up on the underside of the cover which spills onto the counter every time you open it. There are no features, just an on and off switch, which you’d think is fine for the price but even other coffee makers at the same price have several features. That being said, the first one I got leaked from the bottom. Every time I made coffee there would be a pool of water on the counter. I asked for a replacement, which I got. This one worked for about a month and then the switch started coming loose, and then stopped working entirely. I asked reported the problem and they offered me yet another replacement, to which I was skeptical but accepted. Then after waiting for over a month I wrote back asking for a refund instead of a replacement, which they said they would do. Two more months went by without a refund so I ping them, now they’re saying they want me to send in the last defective machine to get a refund. If you’re looking for a cheap, straightforward coffee maker, get a different one. For $40 you expect something cheap and simple that will work, not to have to deal with awful customer service for months. Not only that but like I said, in the $40 price range there are better machines out there. I should also mention that the customer service was directly from Mr. Coffee, not Amazon.

This is not a _great_ coffee maker, but it seems to fit into the “old, reliable” category. (At least I’m hoping it will.) There are NO bells and whistles, no clocks to set, and you have to be responsible enough to turn the thing off when you’re done. If you don’t like this sort of thing, this coffee maker is not for you. However, if you’ve recently had to ditch a coffee maker because the electronics stopped working, this is a pretty good answer. It has one control, an on/off switch. It makes good coffee. That’s all it’s supposed to do, and it does it.
