Good Value Camera with Solar Charger and Nice Features
I ordered the CG6DSL model camera with the solar charger. I also own an older CG6 model. Both are excellent for my purposes. I mainly use the cameras to monitor any critter nighttime activity around my vegetable gardens. The new CG6DSL model provides better color and clarity nighttime videos than my previous model, although the CG6 was more than adequate. I use both with the VICOHome app which is excellent. Physical installation of the camera and connection to VICOHome is straight forward. The solar charger system is excellent and keeps the battery close to fully charged. The $40 price is very reasonable. I have an older Blink camera also and much prefer these cameras. The videos are stored free for 3 days on the cloud. The video recording time can be selected for times ranging from 10 seconds to 3 minutes. I use the “sleep time” schedule to limit my recordings to nighttime. A premium cloud service is available for $2.99 per month that includes AI recognition, upgraded cloud service, and customizable alert zones. At this point, I don’t need the extra features. To summarize, I think this is an excellent product.

Just as good as Arlo, Ring, or Blink, without breaking your pocket
I have purchased multiple VicoHome cameras and I have to say, I have never been disappointed with any of them. Sure, they sometimes have trouble reconnecting so I have to power off and power back on to get it to reconnect again, but what technology like this doesn’t?! So I won’t give less stars for that. The picture is clear! Night or color vision at night time is great. The range for the picture is better than expected. Super easy to set up. The charge life depends on how often you have it recording motion and how often it goes off. I have to charge probably every two weeks or so. I don’t mind doing that at all. I am home most of the time when they charge anyway so I know my house is secure when they’re charging. The functionality is on point. I have never had any issues when they are connected. Live feeds are great. And if you can get a four pack like this with a great deal, it’s well worth to price! In hindsight, $27.00 per camera, you can’t beat it. Highly recommend this camera and the VicoHome app.

Good Quality Video but Sleep Schedule Unreliable
Waited awhile to make this review to see how the camera worked. Initially I really liked the video quality (still do) so I ordered another one. I thought I ordered the one with the solar panel the second time but didn’t get that one. Went to their website to see if I could just purchase the panel, these cameras aren’t even on their website! Interesting.Anyway, the video quality of the cameras are pretty good. I’m coming from the Blink XT2 that I’ve been using for over 5 years, so not hard to do I suppose. But I was impressed. Night video in particular are much better! At least the infrared videos. The video using the built in LED light caused my videos to over saturate blowing out faces.Battery life appears to be very good, but I only have my cameras coming on at night (midnight to six) with minimal motion detections. But here’s my main issue that I haven’t overcome yet, the sleep schedule. It’s easy to setup in the app, but often one of my cameras will no wake up. I have to manually turn it on, and obvious I’m not always going to be awake to do so. Now, is that a camera issue or an app issue? Don’t know yet. Both cameras have a perfect WiFi connection so I don’t think that’s the issue. I’ll update the review if I figure it out.So my conclusion thus far is, good quality videos, good battery life and easy app setup but possibly not reliable if using the sleep schedule.

Get these !!!
If you need cameras these are what you want ! Unlimited camera cloud storage for 10 dollars a month ! Clear picture and great sound. Never have to charge these because they have the solar panels. Can’t beat the price either ! Get them !

These are great amd reasonably priced. The picture and video quality are fantastic. Very easy to install and we have had them for 2 months now and have only had to charge the front porch and driveway cameras twice. I highly recommend these cameras.

Needs subscription, resolution is ‘OK’, sensitivity can be laggy.
The installation and setup is pretty straightforward. The optical resolution at 2K is OK, but if you need to identify a person in your back yard this may not be sufficient. Sensitivity was moderate, definitely will not pick up a person walking toward you. Consider moving up to 5K. Also, be aware that it requires a subscription – which means over time you buy this camera over and over – forever.

Excellent Budget Friendly Cameras!!
Outstanding product! Definitely an upgrade compared to the previous model I used. Clear video images and definitely a much better viewing experience than the one I had purchased before. The user interface of VicoHome is also a major upgrade compared to TinoSec. I love the solar option and is much better than some of the other competitors out there, like Ring.
