Fantastic game, solid remake
The original version of the game was fantastic and this remake is faithful. It loses a little of the grit and charm of the original, but it comes with some added quality of life features and some modern graphics. I enjoyed my time with this and recommend it to any JRPG fan.

Great game! DLC really hurts it.
The base game is 5/5 get it, its great. DLC (not included) is a drag that I suggest you avoid and seek a LP on Youtube to check out if you are curious. But ya the base game offers the normal Persona goodness with many choices on party members what persona you use and how you go about your day. Time is limited so what you choose to do and who you choose to hang out with will effect many things. It is a faithful remake with quality of life changes that go a long way. The Music alone is a selling point, still hum tracks from this all these months later after beating it.Its a must have for JRPG fans, you will love this game.

Really has to be your type of game…
And the only way to know if it’s your type of game is to play a Persona game. After playing Persona 5 and now this, I can say it’s not my cup of tea. And that’s okay. I can see why people love these games.I liked the graphics and the voice acting. The combat system is pretty cool too. These types of games just have to be for you. I’d say this is a great one to try out and see if it is.

DISTURBING THE PEACE!!! 🗣🗣
JRPG Of The Year 2024. 🏆🎉I originally played Persona 3 on the PSP. Loved it. Persona 3 Reload takes everything and makes it better. EVERYTHING.From the graphics, the battle system, UI, music, all of it. Improved.I started playing at release and soon enough, a bajillion hours passed by. Exact numbers btw. 😆Story is simple enough, you are a transfer student whose first day ends up with him fighting monsters. Now, you must use your hidden power, called Persona, to defeat them and put a stop to the Dark Hour. The game goes day by day over the course of a year. Having you live out the life of said transfer student. Very engaging stuff. The back and forth of school life and monster fighting makes for a nice flow. You can build relationships to improve your chances of better Persona abilities. These side quests play out like a slice of life anime. Myself, I went for Yuko’s route this time. I usually go either Yuko or Mitsuru. Choose whatever works best for your play style.Combat is where P3R really shines. They give you new ultimate attacks, called Therugy, like Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy 7. My team is usually Yukari, Junpei, and whoever else I need. Most times being Aigis. This game is great. I already knew I was gonna like it. I just didn’t know I would love it.Now, Atlus, can we get a Catherine 2 already? 🤣 5/5

Going backwards!
Having played persona 5 first as it was my entry way into the series. Then p4 and now p3 but with it remasters to modern looks. I only have 6 hours in and I’m already loving it. It has an even more dark undertone than others p4 I’m loooking at you. But solid choice!

Wonderful remake of a old game
Positives:- The rewind system makes viewing results of different choices faster. Rather than making a save file then loading a save file over and over if you were just curious about what happens if you chose a different choice- All the difficulty settings are fair and balanced (except for the Reaper cheese)- Story and environment were more or less preserved, no modernization here (e.g. still using wired earphones, flip phones and other early 2000s tech and fashion)- Fantastic music and slick UI elementsNegatives:Major complaints- Lack of female protagonist which could have doubled the replay value- Maxing out the social links in one playthrough is impossible without following a strict guideMinor complaints- Minimap could show more information like destroyable stuff for loot- Can’t view active Arcanas at any time (you can only see them during shuffle time)- Can’t view the description of active Arcanas (the game expects that you memorize what each one does based on a tiny image at the bottom left)- Can’t cancel shuffle time, if an Arcana you don’t want appears and there is no other choice, you will have to take that Arcana

Great mix of faithful and inproved!
This game was an amazing play! The persona series always does a great job with it’s characters and story and this game doesn’t disappoint! The depth of characterization has improved since the original, but the amazing story still tugs on heart strings to this day! Please note that death and depression are a key point in the story, so if you have a hard time with those topics then this game isn’t for you. However, it is done in a way that helped me visualize and tackle some of those topics in myself. If those are not too triggering, I reccomend giving the game a shot. The gameplay is fun with a few things added to from P5 along with some things unique to the game. The gameplay is still nothing revolutionary, but it is fun from the start to the end of my 100 hour play through!

I’m in the UK. Game came with a code that was unused but because of the region for the licensing of the game, I can’t use it. Same with the dlc content which I can’t access despite paying for them which cost me as much as the game did before I realised

If you’re looking at this review, you should probably just get it. Unless you’re broke, in which case; resist the temptation! They no longer have manuals that you can eat to supplement your food budget. On the plus, maybe macro plastics are better than micro plastics?
