Very good resource & fantastic gift!
I got this book for my son as a gift, as he is all about drones lately, and he absolutely loves it too! He’s been flying drones for a while, but this book has seriously taken his skills to the next level. It’s packed with all kinds of expert tips and tricks (and very visual – that’s a bonus) and has everything in there from basics to some advanced tips & tricks my son didn’t even know existed. He now has this awesome ability to shoot amazing aerial videos, and he’s learning how drones can be used for real-world applications like agriculture and search & rescue. And, the way it breaks down safety and maintenance has made him even more confident when flying. I gotta say, it’s not just for beginners, either, though, this book is like a bible for drone enthusiasts. Very good resource & fantastic gift!

Exactly What I Needed as a Beginner
I got my first drone and had no idea what I was doing—this book changed that. It explained everything clearly without overwhelming me. I’ve gone from nervous to confident in just a few flights! Now I’m not just flying for fun, I’m even thinking about doing real estate videos. This book really amazing.

Good start
This fairly comprehensive guide to drone technology and use is written for the person who perhaps has heard of drones, but has no idea what they are or what’s involved in using them. It covers everything from the history to the future use of consumer and commercial drones. There are also section specific to Imaging technology and communication. The one thing missing is a more comprehensive explanation of the transponder requirements recently implemented in the United States as well as better explanation of integration of drone flight with America’s airspace system. This is an area poorly understood, even by experience drone users, but to stay legal it is essential before taking your first flight to understand this subject well and in my opinion, should’ve been given more space in this book, but for those just starting out this book is a good general guide You can perhaps get the rest of that information on the FAA‘s drone websites

Practical and complete
I am just getting started in the world of drones and this drone book has given me a lot of information, from the basics, such as how to choose a drone, maintenance, to how to fly it and take pictures. There is information for advanced users. I think it is very useful for any kind of user. It will be my future reference book. Recommended

I was impressed with the information both current and relevantnot just drone technology, theory of flight, or commercial applications, but I found “The Ultimate Drone Handbook” as a great corelation of necessary information. Not that it’s the most practical guide in the world, of course, but it manages to cover all sorts of ground, from FPV flight and aerial videography to the latest trends in drone tech and regulatory insight. That said, its internal diction and overall finish could be a touch neater — it often comes across as a little less polished than you’d expect. And while it does have those minor shortcomings, many of which are mentioned above, it is still an invaluable resource for anyone interested in an overview of the drone world.
