Five books in one box! With nonstop action, huge plot twists, and tons of humor, this series will quickly have your 7- to 12-year-old video game fan begging for just one more chapter.
Getting sucked into a video game is not as much fun as you’d think. Sure, there are jetpacks, hover tanks, and infinite lives, but what happens when the game starts to turn on you? In this best-selling series, 12-year-old Jesse Rigsby finds out just how dangerous video games – and the people making those games – can be.
Book One: Trapped in a Video Game
Jesse hates video games – and for good reason. You see, a video game character is trying to kill him. After getting sucked into the new game Full Blast with his best friend, Eric, Jesse quickly discovers that he’s being followed by a mysterious figure. If he doesn’t figure out what’s going on fast, he’ll be trapped for good!
Book Two: The Invisible Invasion
Jesse’s rescue mission has led him into the world of Go Wild, a Pokemon Go-style mobile game full of hidden danger and invisible monsters. Can Jesse stay alive long enough to sneak into the shady video game company and uncover what they’re hiding?
Book Three: Robots Revolt
The robot villains from Super Bot World 3 have been released into the real world, and it’s up to Jesse to get them back. This is Jesse’s most dangerous mission yet, because this time, the video game is real. And in the real world, there are no extra lives.
Book Four: Return to Doom Island
In this retro adventure, Jesse will need to outsmart a superintelligent android, outlast a tireless drone, and outswim an eight-bit shark. If he can somehow pull all that off, Jesse will discover that he hasn’t even gotten to the scary part yet.
Book Five: The Final Boss
Jesse and Eric have 10 minutes to save the world. In those 10 minutes, they’re supposed to dive into a massive video game universe, track down an all-powerful madman, and stop his evil plan before it’s too late. Sound impossible? It’s super impossible. The clock is ticking.

Reading is important!
I used to live in Wisconsin and permanently moved a year ago to Florida. I’m very close to my grandson and he always liked me to read to him when we lived closer. It started out when he was a toddler and he’s almost a teenager now. We worked it out and I read to him almost every night OVER THE PHONE!!! This set of books is fabulous! It’s about kids trapped in a video game! Now what preteen boy doesn’t like video games??? The stories are very creative and keeps your attention. And the best thing about the books are…I love reading them and want to keep reading the story to find out what the kids do to get out of different situations but my grandson is lulled asleep by my reading and I know I have to stop so he won’t miss out on the books ❤️

Favorite birthday gift!
My grandson is an avid reader. When I asked him what books I could purchase for him, these were his choice. Well, they must be pretty good because he finished them in less than two weeks. And, he’d like the next set. I’m all about kids reading and this series is a hit with him. He was more eager to start reading the first book than play with other toys he received for his birthday!

Best books for preteens!
These books are awesome if you have a struggling reader that loves video games. My 12 year old grandson loves these books. Best part is he loves to read them with me. We just finished the 2nd book and will start the 3rd after Thanksgiving. I know there is another book set called Escaping the video game written by the same person. I’m hoping he continues to write because I have spent many years trying to find a book my grandson loves and I finally found it.

Great books
My son loved these books! He’s 7 in second grade. It took him about 3 months of reading them to complete this set, and he’s looking forward to the next set! My only complaint was the set came with an envelope to be opened once he read through the set, and he was SO EXCITED to finally get into it, and the site it brings you to appears to not work anymore so he was super bummed, because he’s been guessing what it could be for quite a while.

Finally, a book my child liked to read.
My 10-year old hates to read. Been struggling to find books for him. Bought this series and he finished the first book in 3 days. He asked if there were more to this series, which is great. He never asks that question. Will be searching for more by this author.

My husband purchased this series for bedtime story for our 8yo son. 108 chapters of adventure, cliff hangers, comedy, smidge of sarcasm, lots of explosions; and even more heart. If you like to read out loud, especially sounds, it’s a fun series(like I said, there’s explosions💥)It is an easy read for an adult.Maybe y son could read it, but with effort and less gusto. Better suited for 10+The “DO NOT OPEN” envelope was a great incentive to finish the series, it also served as a good bookmark. The books themselves are decent quality. The series box is what you’d expect of cardstock. We plan to buy the next series “Escape from a Video Game” by the same author.Highly recommend for the gamer kid in your life

This book was so funny that made me want to dive into a video game and just start playing the game no matter what happens. It also kept me engrossed for hours and for that period of time I just didn’t want to read anyother book . I would recommend this to anyone because this book is absolutely amazing. This book can really clear your mind so it is not the best book if you want to keep your mind full of information but it is still absolutely amazing nonetheless. So I really hope this review inspires you to read the book and please review it yourselves.

I bought this series for my son’s 10th birthday. He doesn’t have a love for reading, but he does love gaming. He loves the books! When I asked him if he wanted to let his cousin borrow the books he said “I’m probably going to re read them.”
