Best hand blender ever!!!
This handblenders quality is amazing have used them professionally for over 5yrs and they almost never failed. I have purred fully cooked steaks with very little liquid, used them to process nuts and hard spices and still works, super easy to used and clean, Design is easy to used with just two buttons and blades are wide enough to chop through almost anything

This is a quality blender
After buying a cheaper Chinese model, that wasn’t as described and worked horribly, I decided to just bite the bullet and buy a good one. I know better and should have done that from the start. This Waring WSB40 immersion bender is a quality made, well put together and a reliable unit. Everything I hated about all the others I have used is not a problem with this one. It is exactly as described and works well. I would imagine it will last a long time. Therefore it justifies the money spent. Compared to all the others that might make it a year, if that, before falling apart. I wish it had a slightly slower speed for one recipe I do. But that is not a complaint. And I can still use it as is. I just felt I needed to add something to my wish list.

Durable & Excellent Investment
I’ve had this blender for five years now, and I am impressed with its durability and performance. It’s quite powerful and has two settings for various blending tasks. I use it to make soap by blending melted oils and lye solution to create soap bars, and it has been amazing. I’ve used many others in the past and spent more money replacing them. After each use, I run it in hot water to remove any excess, then wash the shaft and blade with hot water and sterilize them. To me, it has proven to be a worthwhile investment with great results. I highly recommend it!

Very reliable and doesn’t over heat.
Fantastic build quality and cooling, most consumer grade units don’t have any active cooling such as this one and subsequently overheat or fail. This unit is uncomfortable to hold though this is a matter of personal preference. Underpowered, for thicker or fibrous mixtures it slows down quite a bit and you cannot get as fine of an end result. I personally think 300 watts is the minimum, this is 150W. Mine has developed a horrible screaching noise whenever I blend anything remotely cold or warm.

This immersion blender/stick is one of the very best tools I have in my kitchen! In mixing my homemade salsa, gravies, mashed potatoes, salad dressings from scratch, it’s THE ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE TOOL in a commercial or home kitchen. It has 2 speeds > hi and lo!! Perfect for stirring it up!

Used for liquid soap-making and lotion-making
I bought this because I got to the point of making batches of lotion that a regular Cuisinart stick blender could not do because of the height of the mixture and the sustained power needed to avoid burning the motor. However, the very first time I used this, I impulsively made my first batch of liquid soap, which cut the tracing time to taffy stage down to 6 mins instead of the usual 30 mins if using the regular stick blender. I was so delighted. It has been my friend for such purposes. I only gave it four stars, though, because, no matter how I try to clean up the rubber part in the immersed tip, it always gives me a black smear. Not much of a problem with liquid soap making (whatever sticks to it, I just remove from the end product) or lotion making (the oil coats the rubber enough so that none of the black smear gets to the lotion). I worry about purchasing such a gadget dedicated to making soups (I do home canning as well, and one of my favorite canning projects includes tomatoes – pizza sauce, tomato soup,etc.) as I don’t think I’d like this black smear touching my food. Any tips as to how to coat that with something safe for food processing will be appreciated.

Broke after 2 years
For being professional grade, this stick blender only lasted me 2 years. It now makes a grotesque screeching noise when turned on. And it’s past the warranty. I use this pretty regularly, 2-4 times per week. So I guess that’s a fair amount. But still. I’m not using it on ice or anything that should be too taxing. The blade is still sharp with no dents or dings. Kind of expensive for how long it lasts. So loses 2 stars for those reasons.

Impressive
I bought this blender about a month ago and have used it quite a few times. Every time I have used it, it has never failed to impress. That machine effortlessly purees sauces and salad dressings. Just now made homemade mayonnaise lickety split, another victory in the corporate PUFA oil war!!! (Never going to buy Hellmans canola oil again). Its smooth and quiet action belies what a powerful motor it has. The open teeth on the blender (as opposed to those holes that catch and clog with fresh ingredients like herbs and garlic) were a big selling point. It is easy to clean – run under hot water and perhaps a spray – hooray stainless steel. The unit is pricey, but worth it. Hopefully this unit and I can be friends for many years to come. I love this machine so much that I felt compelled to write a review and share how much I am impressed with this.

I tried reaching out to Amazon and the Manufacturer for product support numerous times but no help at all. The machine only worked for 6 months and broke . The manufacturer is not helping at all to fix it. Also bought extra insurance from Amazon and they are not helping as well.
