YOU NEED THIS
I’ve been using the YI 2pc Security Home Camera for almost three years, and I am incredibly impressed with its performance. Despite the passage of time, these cameras have continued to function exceptionally well, which speaks volumes about their durability and quality. The installation was a breeze, and the compact size of the cameras is perfect for discreet placement around the home. The 1080p resolution ensures clear and crisp images, both day and night, thanks to the impressive night vision feature. I recently added two SD cards, which was a straightforward process, and they work flawlessly with the system. One of the standout features of these cameras is the ease of use. The app allows me to view live footage from anywhere, providing peace of mind when I’m away from home. The 2.4G WiFi connectivity is stable and reliable, ensuring continuous monitoring without interruptions.Overall, I am extremely happy with the YI Security Home Cameras. They offer excellent value for money, combining reliability, ease of use, and high-quality performance. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable home security solution.

Camera is awesome. Yi Home app is trash.
Camera is awesome. Yi Home app is trash. I have an iPhone mounted on my desk dedicated to continuously displaying the Yi 2K camera feed displaying my front porch and driveway approach. They have made software updates over the past few months that force me to reinstall the Yi Home app on my iPhone every few days to regain functionality. When first installed it streams my camera feed perfectly but over time the Live camera feed lags and sometimes freezes for up to a minute and then sluices quickly through time to catch up to current time. If inconsistent display of the Live camera feed isn’t bad enough – eventually the app crashes. If I restart the app and attempt to reconnect to my 2K camera the software hangs for approx. 20-30 seconds before it connects to the camera (if it connects). Once it crashes it crashes more and more often. After several crashes if I restart the Yi Home app it will no longer connect to the camera and one time it froze my iPhone so hard that it required power cycling. I have tried power cycling both the camera and iPhone (at the same time) and the connectivity issue persists (until I delete and reinstall the app). My iPhone is in perfect working order. The camera is functional because when the app is hosed on my desk mounted iPhone I can connect to it without issue from my other iPhone that isn’t continuously displaying the camera feed. I have tried dropping to SD quality feed with no change in behavior. My WiFi is strong and the camera is only about 20 feet and 1 stud and drywall wall away from the wireless router. My iPhone is in the same room as the router about 9 feet apart. The camera is mounted inside my front window so heat/cold/rain are not an issue. After much experimentation and cursing the *only* thing that fixes the issue is to completely delete and reinstall the Yi Home app, log back into my Yi account and it works flawlessly for a couple of days then eventually declines into crashy non-connectivity mode until I delete and reinstall the app (yet again). Is the software not proactively cleaning up it’s cache that app deletion takes care of? I wonder if I had an Android phone if clearing the app cache would fix the issue but with iPhones the only way to accomplish cache deletion is to delete the app. Why can’t the app remember my email address making logging back into the app less burdensome? Is the app queuing up ads and exhausting the resources required to consistently stream the camera feed and deleting the app clears the ads? IDK but I need it to be stable – without human intervention.Since when is having to reinstall a security app every few days an acceptable solution? I want the version of the software prior to late 2024 when it did not have this issue. This is the third model of Yi camera I have owned for 1+ year and nothing about my setup is new. This camera was purchased as a necessary security device that I depend on but the developers at Yi seem more concerned with ad revenue generation and pushing their (based on other reviewers’ opinion – crappy) cloud service than app stability. I’m seriously looking at scrapping this setup and going with Tapo cameras which would integrate nicely with my Kasa Smart switches in a single application. I would have absolutely recommended Yi cameras 4+ months ago but now my advice is to stay far far away.

Solid Home Security Camera with Great Features
I’ve been using the YI Pro 2K Home Security Camera for a while now, and overall, I’m really impressed with its performance. The 2K resolution provides clear and detailed video, making it easy to see what’s happening in my home. The night vision is also quite good, offering a sharp image even in low-light conditions. One of my favorite features is AI human detection, which reduces false alerts from pets or moving shadows. The two-way audio is another plus, allowing me to communicate with family members or even deter potential intruders. Setup was simple, and the YI Home app is user-friendly, making it easy to monitor the feed remotely. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that some features, like cloud storage, require a subscription. While you can use a microSD card as an alternative, it would be nice to have more free storage options.Overall, this is a great security camera for the price, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable indoor surveillance solution!

It works great and the set up was super easy.
Super easy to set up and you can get a memory card for it, so you’re not locked in to the yearly subscription (it’s there, if you wanna pay for it) use it everytime I leave my pet home alone so I can make sure she’s doing ok.

Quality and price.
I like these cameras because they are priced right and work well in the home. I own three and recently had to replace one after 5 years because it stopped working.

Its not what I am expected because either you pay the fee or used free service and cannot live view in multiple. If you want to view in live mode multiple camera, you have to pay the fee. Quality was okay, not very best.

Great picture and easy setup
Needed new cameras for my home. After reading reviews on several other brands I decided to go with YI as I’ve had them in the past. Really happy with the picture quality and sound. Also set up through the YI app on my iPhone is super easy. I set up 3 new cameras in about 10 minutes.

Recomendo. Um bom produto. Alta qualidade. Só deveria ter como salvar os vídeos sem ter que pagar um absurdo por isso.

Really love these cameras.CAMERA: Very good frame, you can choose HD quality and has a great night vision. Charging cord is long enough to set up camera high and get the biggest frame possible.SET UP: was easy : connect to your regular wifi (not 5G), scan the QR code to download the app (YiHome), plug in the camera, you’ll see the connection on the app.FREE/PAY : The free version lets you see the camera in live, so you can see the frame in the present moment but not record. To record and have access to footage you have to pay a monthly or yearly fee. There are 4options to choose from ($CAD per year) : entry 53$ (1camera, 7day history, records activity only), CVR 109$ (1camera, 7day history, always records), standard 135$ (5cameras, 15days history, records activity and AI detection), plus 175$ (5cameras, 30day history, records activity and AI detection).I tried standard but the ‘activity only recording’ never recorded video movement from my cats or my dad in the frame, it only recorded audio activity like talking. I then switched to CVR which worked perfectly, all the time recording and access to the footage, but you can’t choose to have access to the footage longer than 7days and have to buy the monthly or yearly fee for every camera you want the recording on, which can become pricey.TRAVEL: I bought these for travelling and it worked amazing, not one issue and I was 13h flight away, so i guess it works anytime anywhere.NOTIFS: you can choose to have notifications on or off for when activity is detected by the camera. There is an ‘absent mode’ which should not alert you of activity if you’re home but it didn’t work for me so I would turn off notifs when I’m home.OVERALL I recommend cause it’s a great camera and worked perfectly for my 2week trip cause I paid for 1month 2 cameras and can use it as live footage from now on. However for a 24h surveillance security system working in my entire home for an entire year I would find it too pricey overtime to pay the fee for each camera and too bothering to have to switch off notifications every time I’m home.
